  • Getting hibernate to log clob parameters

    (see here for the problem I'm trying to solve) How do you get hibernate to log clob values it's going to insert. It is logging other value types, such as Integer etc. I have the following in my log4j config: log4j.logger.net.sf.hibernate.SQL=DEBUG log4j.logger.org.hibernate.SQL=DEBUG log4j.logger.net.sf.hibernate.type=DEBUG log4j.logger.org.hibernate.type=DEBUG Which produces output such as: (org.hibernate.SQL) insert into NoteSubstitutions (note, listIndex, substitution) values (?, ?, ?) (org.hibernate.type.LongType) binding '170650' to parameter: 1 (org.hibernate.type.IntegerType) binding '0' to parameter: 2 (org.hibernate.SQL) insert into NoteSubstitutions (note, listIndex, substitution) values (?, ?, ?) (org.hibernate.type.LongType) binding '170650' to parameter: 1 (org.hibernate.type.IntegerType) binding '1' to parameter: 2 However you'll note that it never displays parameter: 3 which is our clob.   • Changing the parameters of a Javascript function using GreaseMonkey

    There are a lot of questions here about Greasemonkey, but I didn't see anything directly related to my question. I'm on a website that uses a text editor control, and it's really annoying that they don't allow horizontal resizing (only vertical). So if you are using a cheapo projector that only supports 1024x768, the text runs off of the screen and there's nothing you can do about it. I looked at the page source, and found the section of code that I want Greasemonkey to modify: <script type="text/javascript"> // TinyMCE instance type: CD_TinyMCE tinyMCE.init({ convert_urls : "", mode : "specific_textareas", editor_selector : "rte", theme : "advanced", theme_advanced_toolbar_location : "top", theme_advanced_toolbar_align : "left", theme_advanced_statusbar_location : "bottom", theme_advanced_resizing : true, **theme_advanced_resize_horizontal : false**, ... I just want to change the boldfaced value to true. I tried to approach this the brute force way and replace the text this way: function allowHorizontalResize() { var search_string = "theme_advanced_resize_horizontal : false"; var replace_string = "theme_advanced_resize_horizontal : true"; var doc_text = document.body.innerHTML; document.body.innerHTML = doc_text.replace( search_string, replace_string); } ...but it doesn't work. However, I know the basic search and replace part works because I can use this script to replace text within the editor -- I just can't change the javascript code that initializes the text editor. Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong? Is this even possible?

Is void not an allowed default parameter?

  • ActionScript Tweening Matrix Transform (big problem)

    The situation is I have two xslt files: one is called from my ASP.NET code, and there, the second xslt file is imported. What I'd like to accomplish is to pass a parameter to the first one so the second xslt(the one that is imported at the first xslt) can read it. My c# code looks like this: var oArgs = new XsltArgumentList(); oArgs.AddParam("fbLikeFeatureName", "", "Facebook_Like_Button"); ltlContentBody.Text = xmlUtil.TransformXML(oXmlDoc, Server.MapPath(eSpaceId + "/styles/ExploringXSLT/ExploreContentObjects.xslt"), true); And I'm catching the param at the first xslt this way: <xsl:param name="fbLikeFeatureName" /> And then, passing it to the second xslt like this(previously, I import that file): <xsl:call-template name="Articles"> <xsl:with-param name="fbLikeFeatureName"></xsl:with-param> </xsl:call-template> Finally, I'm catching the param on the second xslt file as following: <xsl:value-of select="$fbLikeButtonName"/> What Am I doing wrong? Is there any library missing in the CS file!! I cannot figure out what is the problem.

The inferred type ArrayList is not a valid substitute for the bounded parameter It seems the type of the second generic List parameter is limited by the Type of the first.Is it a feature or a bug of the compile program? ps, jdk:1.6,IDE:Eclipse 3.5.1

    I work on something in Seattle Repy which is a restricted subset of Python. Anyway, I wanted to implement my own Queue that derives from a list: class Queue(list): job_count = 0 def __init__(self): list.__init__(self) def appendleft(item): item.creation_time = getruntime() item.current_count = self.job_count self.insert(0, item) def pop(): item = self.pop() item.pop_time = getruntime() return item Now I call this in my main server, where I use my own Job class to pass Jobs to the Queue: mycontext['queue'] = Queue() # ... job = Job(str(ip), message) mycontext['queue'].appendleft(job) The last line raises the following exception: Exception (with type 'exceptions.TypeError'): appendleft() takes exactly 1 argument (2 given) I'm relatively new to Python, so could anyone explain to me why it would think that I gave appendleft() two arguments when there obviously was only one?

    Ok here is my problem : Before i start the description, let me to tell you that I have googled up a lot and I am posting this question for a good optimal solution :) i am building a rest service on WCF to get userProfiles... the user can filter userProfiles by giving something like userProfiles?location=London now i have the following method GetUserProfiles(string firstname, string lastname, string age, string location) the sql query string i built is: select firstname, lastname, .... from profiles where (firstName like '%{firstname}%') AND (lastName like '%{lastName}%') ....and so on with all variables being replaced by string formatter. Problem with this is that it filters any row having firstname, lastname, age or location having a null value.... doing something like (firstName like '%{firstName}%' OR firstName IS NULL) would be tedious and the statement would become unmaintanable! (in this example there are only 4 arguments, but in my actual method there are 10) What would be the best solution for this?....How is this situation usually handled? Database used : MySql

I also understand that to, subject and body are method calls. I'm trying to figure out what the code that implements the sendMail method would look like, and my best guess is something like this: MailService { String subject String recipient String view def model sendMail(closure) { closure.call() // Code to send the mail now that all the // various properties have been set } to(recipient) { this.recipient = recipient } subject(subject) { this.subject = subject; } body(view, model) { this.view = view this.model = model } } Is this reasonable, or am I missing something?   • Parameters not being passed into template when using the .Net transform classes

    I am using the .Net XslCompiledTranform to run some simple XSLT (see below for a simplified example). The example XSLT is meant to do simply show the value of the parameter that is passed in to the template. The output is what I expect it to be (i.e. <result xmlns:p1="http://www.doesnotexist.com"> <valueOfParamA>valueA</valueOfParamA> </result> when I use Saxon 9.0, but when I use XslCompiledTransform (XslTransform) in .net I get <result xmlns:p1="http://www.doesnotexist.com"> <valueOfParamA></valueOfParamA> </result> The problem is that that the parameter value of paramA is not being passed into the template when I use the .Net classes. I completely stumped as to why. when I step through in Visual Studio, the debugger says that the template will be called with paramA='valueA' but when execution switches to the template the value of paramA is blank. Can anyone explain why this is happening? Is this a bug in the MS implementation or (more likely) am I doing something that is forbidden in XSLT? Any help greatly appreciated.   • Parameters with dots on the URI

    In my application, there is a resource, machine, and a nested resource from machine: ip. I want to be able to access the URI of an Ip typing the ip address. The URI should be something like this: /machines/m123/ips/192.168.0.1.xml Where "m123" is the name of the machine and "192.168.0.1" is one of the ips of that machine. The problem here is that rails miss understand the dots from the ip and the format. When I try to access this page, i get: No route matches "/machines/m123/ips/192.168.0.1.xml" And if I replace the dots for any other character it works, witch means that rails isn't handling the dots on the URI. Is there any way to enter a more complex regexp on the routes to make sure rails can treat it the way I want? I'm using rails 2.3.5 and ruby 1.8.7. Thank you.

If in SERVLET I do: Writer writer = response.getWriter(); writer.write(request.getParameter("external_title")); I get Yahoo!â„¢ in the browser. If I manually switch the browser character encoding to UTF-8, it changes to Yahoo!TM (which is what I want). So I figured the encoding I was sending to the browser was wrong (it was Content-type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1). I changed SERVLET to: response.setContentType("text/html; charset=utf-8"); Writer writer = response.getWriter(); writer.write(request.getParameter("external_title")); Now the browser character encoding is UTF-8, but it outputs Yahoo!â?¢ and I can't get the browser to render the correct character at all. My question is: is there some combination of Content-type and/or new String(request.getParameter("external_title").getBytes(), "UTF-8"); and/or something else that will result in Yahoo!TM appearing in the SERVLET output?
