• SFx Server Did Not Reply

  have the following problem : For a project I've tentatively created a Silverlight 5 web application and successfully integrated a WCF service. So far so good , in the Visual Studio 2012 environment everything works as intended. The data is processed. Now I wanted to see if it all works well on IIS 7.5 . When I called the test page and spoke to the WCF service Error 405 - Method not allowed occures. After searching I solved the problem with a module allocation for *.svc .                       So, then comes the error 405 although no longer , and the service also reports the status 200 - OK . Unfortunately, the application still does not work . Now this error is reported in Silverlight : The server doenst reply a meaningful response , which may be caused by a non- matching agreement , a premature session shutdown or an internal server error . No idea what I must adjust or change now. Have read on one of the few sites on the topic that is ClientConfig blame, as they would continue as a reference for the *.xap file is valid after publishing , and not used WebConfig ... But according to the error message above, it seems to be problem in the ServiceModel.dll ... Please , can anyone help me resolve this error? Thank you, Roland I uploaded my project. • wait_fences: failed to receive reply: 10004003 - what?!

  Hey Guys Been getting this odd error. heres the deal - in the below method i have an alert view come up, take a U/N and PW, then atempt to start another method. • WCF "The server did not provide a meaningful reply"

  I am out of ideas here, so I'm hoping someone can help. Here is what I've got: A WCF service that only has a basicHttpBinding endpoint. There is only a service interface, all other [DataMember], [FaultContract] are concrete types. When I run it straight from Visual Studio (using WCF Test Client or my custom app) everything works (I send a request and get a response). This usually takes a second or two. I published it to an IIS 6 server. I can successfully open http://server/WebService/WebService.svc?WSDL I can successfully open http://server/WebService/WebService.svc/mex (same output as above) The WCF Test Client and my custom app can successfully add the service reference Whenever I try to call a service method it waits for about 15 seconds and I get the dreaded "no meaningful reply" error. I ran Fiddler and I got a 202 result, which would seem like a success. It's not returning more than 65536 bytes It's returning an array, but it is small I tried remote debugging, but can't get that to work, probably due to a firewall (but port 80 is open, I can get the WSDL) I enabled system.diagnostics, nothing. I have an IErrorHandler which normally logs things, nothing. Here's the endpoint config: <endpoint address="" binding="basicHttpBinding" contract="Enterprise.IMyService" bindingNamespace="http://ourdomain.com/MyService/"> <identity> <dns value="localhost" /> </identity> </endpoint> Anything else I can try? It's probably a simple setting somewhere, but I can't figure it out.

  All, I have a class function to interface with the RESTful API for Last.FM - its purpose is to grab the most recent tracks for my user.   I need to get list of functions with their contents (not only the function name) from php file. I tried to use regex but it has lots of limitations. it doesn't parse all types of functions. for example it fails if the function has if and for loop statements. in details: I have around 100 include files. each file has number of declared functions. some files has functions duplicated in other files. so what I want is to get list of all functions from specific file then put this list inside an array then I will be using array unique in order to remove the duplicates. • How can I store an inventory-like list of numbers?

  I've got a list of number that I need to keep track of. The numbers are loosely related, but represent distinctly different items. I'd like to keep a list of the numbers but be able to refer to them by name so that I can call them and use them where needed easily. Kind of like an inventory listing, where the numbers all refer to a part ID and I'd like to call them idPart1, idPart2, idPart3 so their purpose is easily identifiable when they are used. What would be the best way to do this? 1)Define a structure. Say, PartIds. A number of int members will be included, part1, part2 etc. To use, an instance of the structure will be created, values assigned to the members, and the numbers will be used by saying struct.member as needed. 2)Define an enumeration. Use part1, part2 as the enum literals. Store the actual values in a vector or list, each one at the index corresponding to the value of the number's name within the enum. Use the enum literals to retrieve the values, list[enumLit]. 3)Something completely different There's nothing else I need to do with the numbers - just look them up every once in a while. Since there's no processing, I kind of think a new class for them is overkill, but I'm willing to be convinced otherwise. Any suggestions?

I would like to create instances of a class containing a list that's empty by default; instead of later setting this list to the final full list I would like to successively add items to it.   In Outlook 2003, I find myself frequently sending emails to the same group of people all working on a project. I'd like to find a simple way to convert the list of addresses in an email that I would "reply all" to into an Outlook distribution list for future use. I know how to create Outlook distribution lists, that's not my question. But the normal process that I see in Outlook requires adding the names to the list one by one. If I have an email with a large "reply all" list is there any way to take that whole list all at once (including many email addresses not otherwise already in my Outlook contacts) and convert it to a distribution list in one step? Trying to google for this answer got me many, many pages of instructions on how to create a distribution list, but I can't seem to find the search term to locate an answer on how to convert a list of address.

• What's the standard algorithm for syncing two lists of objects?

  I'm pretty sure this must be in some kind of text book (or more likely in all of them) but I seem to be using the wrong keywords to search for it... :( A common task I'm facing while programming is that I am dealing with lists of objects from different sources which I need to keep in sync somehow. Typically there's some sort of "master list" e.g. returned by some external API and then a list of objects I create myself each of which corresponds to an object in the master list. Sometimes the nature of the external API will not allow me to do a live sync: For instance the external list might not implement notifications about items being added or removed or it might notify me but not give me a reference to the actual item that was added or removed. Furthermore, refreshing the external list might return a completely new set of instances even though they still represent the same information so simply storing references to the external objects might also not always be feasible. Another characteristic of the problem is that both lists cannot be sorted in any meaningful way. You should also assume that initializing new objects in the "slave list" is expensive, i.e. simply clearing and rebuilding it from scratch is not an option. So how would I typically tackle this? What's the name of the algorithm I should google for? In the past I have implemented this in various ways (see below for an example) but it always felt like there should be a cleaner and more efficient way. Here's an example approach: Iterate over the master list Look up each item in the "slave list" Add items that do not yet exist Somehow keep track of items that already exist in both lists (e.g. by tagging them or keeping yet another list) When done iterate once more over the slave list Remove all objects that have not been tagged (see 4.) Update Thanks for all your responses so far! I will need some time to look at the links. Maybe one more thing worthy of note: In many of the situations where I needed this the implementation of the "master list" is completely hidden from me. In the most extreme cases the only access I might have to the master list might be a COM-interface that exposes nothing but GetFirst-, GetNext-style methods. I'm mentioning this because of the suggestions to either sort the list or to subclass it both of which is unfortunately not practical in these cases unless I copy the elements into a list of my own and I don't think that would be very efficient. I also might not have made it clear enough that the elements in the two lists are of different types, i.e. not assignment-compatible: Especially, the elements in the master list might be available as interface references only.

(Apologies for the crude wording, I am not really much of an OO expert) I have an object "event" that has a collection of "artists", each artist having an "artist_name". On my HTML output, I want a plain list of artist names delimited by a comma. PHP's implode() seems to be the best way to create a comma delimited list of values. For example: [expensive_function(x) for x in generator where expensive_function(x) < 5] I want to avoid calling expensive_function twice per iteration. The generator may return an infinite series, and list comprehensions aren't lazily evaluated. So this wouldn't work: [y in [expensive_function(x) for x in generator where expensive_function(x)] where y < 5] I could write this another way, but it feels right for a list comprehension and I'm sure this is a common usage pattern (possible or not!).
