    After running chkdsk C: /F /R and finding out that my hard disk has 24 KB in bad sectors (log is posted below), I decided to run Windows 7's System File Checker utility (sfc /scannow). SFC showed the ff. message after I ran it: "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log." Since the CBS.log file is too large, I ran findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt" (as per Microsoft's KB 928228 article) to only get the log text pertaining to the corrupt files. (log is also posted below) How do I troubleshoot and repair the corrupted files mentioned by sfc /scannow?     I have a database that acts like a triple store, except that it is just a simple MySQL database. I want to select all triples that have a common predicate and object. Info about RDF and triples I can't seem to work out the SQL. If I had just a single predicate and object to match I would do: select TRIPLE from TRIPLES where PREDICATE="predicateName" and OBJECT="objectName" But if I have a list (HashMap) of many pairs of (predicateName,objectName) I am not sure what I need to do. Please let me know if I need to provide more info, I am not sure that I have made this quite clear, but I am wary of providing too much info and confusing the issue.

Is there any (free) relational database systems that can handle multi-master setups good (i.e where it is easy to add and remove nodes) or is it better to go with a NoSQL-database? The use case on my mind: Dictionary<Pair<string, int>, object> or Dictionary<Triple<string, int, int>, object> Are there built-in types like Pair or Triple? Or what's the best way of implementing it? Update There are some general-purpose tuples implementations described in the answers, but for tuples used as keys in dictionaries you should additionaly verify correct calculation of the hash code. Some more info on that in another question. Update 2 I guess it is also worth reminding, that when you use some value as a key in dictionary, it should be immutable.

I'm sending data back and forth between a web browser and a web service. The following steps emulates the communication between the two, using session-per-request. I first save a new instance of a Store: using (new SessionScope()) { // this is data from the browser var store = new Store { Id = Guid.Empty }; ActiveRecordMediator.SaveAndFlush(store); } Then I grab the store out of the DB, add a new product to it, and then save it: using (new SessionScope()) { // this is data from the browser var product = new Product { Id = Guid.Empty, Name = "Apples" }); var store = ActiveRecordLinq.AsQueryable<Store>().First(); store.Products.Add(product); ActiveRecordMediator.SaveAndFlush(store); } Up to this point, everything works well. Both entities are persistent. Then I tried to save a transient Product (the one that has the updated info from the browser) that has the same ID as the one that's already associated with the session, and an exception is thrown. However, I don't know how to get around this problem. If I could get access to a NHibernate.ISession, I could call ISession.Merge() on it, but it doesn't look like ActiveRecordMediator has anything similar (SaveCopy threw the same exception). Does anyone know the solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

In the database each record gets an ID field. Now when the users clicks submit and goes to the next page, i want the ID's (they could be 1 to 1000+) from the DB that he just inserted and have them available on the second page. how can i take all the id's from page 1 to page 2? can i do it in session? or something else. No real optimization, nice. memcachedb claims on the order of 17,000 to 23,000 inserts per second, 44,000 to 64,000 reads per second. I'm also wondering how the others stack up speed wise.

  • iphone - mutableArray cannot store nil objects

    I have a mutable array that is retained and storing several objects. At some point, one object may become nil. When this happens the app will crash, because arrays cannot have nil objects. Imagine something like [object1, object2, object3, nil]; then, object2 = nil [object1, nil, object3, nil]; that is not possible because nil is the end of array marker. So, how can I solve that? thanks for any help.

  • Can't store array in json field in postgresql (rails) can't cast Array to json

    This is the error I'm getting when I run db:migrate rake aborted! can't cast Array to json This is my table class CreateTrips < ActiveRecord::Migration def change create_table :trips do |t| t.json :flights t.timestamps end end end This is in my seeds.rb file flights = [{ depart_time_hour: 600, arrive_time_hour: 700, passengers: [ { user_id: 1, request: true } ] }] trip = Trip.create( { name: 'Flight', flights: flights.to_json } ) For some reason I can't do this. If I do this. trip = Trip.create( { name: 'Flight', flights: { flights: flights.to_json } } ) It works. I don't want this though because now I have to access the json array with trip.flights.flights. Not the behavior I'm wanting.

  • How does cobol store and retrieve data?

    I'm starting to learn about COBOL. I have some experience writing programs that deal with sql databases and I guess I'm confused how cobol stores and retrieves data that is stored in a mainframe for example. I know that it's not like relational databases but every example program I've seen takes data straight from the command line and I know thats not how real world COBOL programs process the data. Can someone explain or show me a good resource that can explain it?

  • Table design issues - should I create separate fields or store as a blob

    Hi guys I'm working on my web based ordering system and we would like to maintain a kind of task history for each of our orders. A hsitory in the sense that we would like to maintain a log of who did what on an order like lets say an order has been entered - we would like to know if the order was acknowledged for an example. Or lets say somebody followed up on the order - etc. Consider that there are numerous situations like this for each order would it be wise to create a schema on the lines of: Orders ID - title - description - date - is_ack - is_follow - ack_by ..... That accounts to a lot of fields - on teh other hand I could have one LongText field called 'history' and fill it with a serialised object holding all the information. However in the latter case I can't run a query to lets say retrieve all orders that have not been acknowledged and stuff like that. With time requirements woudl change and I would be required to modify it to allow for more detailed tracking and that is why I need to set up a way which would be feasible to scale upon yet I don't want to be restricted on the SQL side too much.

  • Store value of os.system or os.popen

    Hello, I want to grep the error's out of a log file and save the value as an error. When I use: errors = os.system("cat log.txt | grep 'ERROR' | wc -l") I get the return code that the command worked or not. When I use: errors = os.popen("cat log.txt | grep 'ERROR' | wc -l") I get what the command is trying to do. When I run this in the command line I get 3 as thats how many errors there are. Can anyone suggest another way? Thanks

I am going to be creating a new project with over 100 Enums, and majority of them will have to be stored in the database.   • How to directly store SQLite data in XCode?

    Hi guys: Searched on here and got some vague answers, so I thought i'd rephrase the problem to get some clearer answers- Right now I have an SQL Lite db that reads/parses information from a pre-formatted .txt file. When I open the app, there is a slight 'lag' as the iDevice parses the info, then gets fetched for the iDevice. I'm just wondering if there's any way to just 'save' all the information directly in the xCode so there's no lag/fetch time? Thank you.

    I am new to jQuery and I have the following problem. My project has say 2 pages, 1.JSP and 2.html. Now I want to pick selected data from 2.html and use it on 1.JSP. Now this was achieved very easily using .load but I want the data to be present in a JavaScript variable rather than put it on the page (div tags, etc.), so that I can work upon that data (modify or add to database). I tried using .ajax and was able to write the following code: var value = (function () { var val = nulll; var filename = " 2.html"; $.ajax ({ 'async': false, 'global': false, 'url': filename, 'success' : function(data) { val = data; } }) return val; })() document.write(value) Where do I put the selector format (say div.id5) so that my variable have only relevant data rather than the full file data?

  • Where does Xcode Organizer store iPhone screenshots?

    I've made a hundred of screenshots from iPhone thru Organizer but it looks like the only way to get actual files is by clicking on each screenshot and saving it. Is there any place on my Mac I can have them all? They are definitely stored somewhere -- all are listed in OrganizerScreenshots.
