  There are many questions and answers about this. But nowadays Facebook changes their Privacy. Any Application that request for user_likes permission must be review by Facebook before using. I've tried many times to explain to Facebook review team about my app, but they did not accept, because my application (a web game using HTML5 and JavaScript) require people like my fan page before play. So my question is: Is there any to bypass Facebook privacy? I have a Like Box on the same page as the game screen (where i need to check Like), so any solution (like: analyze DOM elements, capture screen can pass through image recognition) will fine.

• How do I get the icons of TinyMCE to show?

  I installed TinyMCE and I have the textbox and the functions work(such as , ) but I don't see the tool box that has displays all the functions. Like in this example. How do I get the images to show? All I have is the textbox. I used the code from the example link and theirs has the images and all I have is the textbox. • SQL Conditional Select from SharePoint

  I'm creating a search page on our SharePoint site that will allow users to find results from a SQL table by either performing a search from a text box @Param1, or selecting a value from a dropdown @SiteParam. My SQL SelectStatement is SELECT * FROM [Routing] WHERE [Site] LIKE CASE WHEN @Param1 IS NOT NULL THEN '%' + @Param1 + '%' ELSE @SiteParam This works great in SQL when I declare the parameters and set values for the search, but not so much in SharePoint. I've been able to get it to work if I don't do the case and just use 1 of the parameters, but I haven't found a way to get it to do either of them. Any help is appreciated! Thanks

All instances of MyUserControl are contained in a List and I access them with a foreach. string temp = userControl.InputValue; This is always null. In my MainWindow.xaml I can see the "My Input" in the text box of the user control but I can't ever seem to get it out of there.

  Back again! I've been doing some async socket programming with select() on windows,and it's been working quite well. However it's only scalable up to 1024 clients.Poll() is the way to get around that limitation, and I know it works on both linux and unix. But it doesn't work with a windows system correct? I read about WsaPoll(), does it have the exact same functionality? What libraries would I have to link to in order to use it? Can I increase the socket number safely in windows with FD_SETSIZE? My end program will be on a linux server. However I am testing on a windows system right now. Should I just swap my test machine over to a linux box? (probably going to anyway) Otherwise what would you recommend to use with windows? (sorry for all of the questions, I am doing research on my own, I promise =D)

• minifying patched javascript files

  I'm writing a Rails app and I've partially integrated in this nice little patch to the in line ajax editor: http://inplacericheditor.box.re/ The problem is, on that page I have tinymce, prototype and scriptaculous included. In Firefox at least there's a big lag when all this stuff is loading. I was hoping to fix it by compressing the files so I checked out a plugin for rails called Smurf. It seemed to do what it was supposed to do nicely, but it choked on the little patch files that are included with the Ajax editor thing. THe patch files look like this: Object.extend(Ajax.InPlaceEditor.prototype, { handleAJAXFailure: function(transport) Alternatively, should I just be catching them instead of worrying about minfying them? I know I'm running on development and that Apache would maybe be handling serving the js files differently..It just seems like a lot of things to serve on one page.

  I'm mainly using c++ win32 API project and the question is asked keeping in mind: When you use microsoft visual studio 2010 visual c++ editor and you minimize any function, then ahead of the function you get a box; hovering over which you see the entire function. How to implement this in c++ win32 API ? for ex- when a win32 project is created in vs2010, and empty project checkbox is unchecked then by default you get a code which after running produces a window which has a menu bar containing File an Help. Now i want some text to come when i hover over each of them. I do not want a code just a hint how it can be done. Thanks in advance.

  So my co-worker felt it necessary to go onto my development box and do some code changes, then submit his work to subversion. I never set the commit message editor, and all of a sudden, one day I forgot to add the -m handle and apparently he set the default editor to emacs. Being that I don't know the first thing about emacs and prefer vim myself, how do I go about changing the default editor for svn commands to vim after it's already been set. I deleted the .subversion directory under the home directory, and it still prompts me.

But unfortunately if the sports are not selected like below when the form is submitted post is empty. • Automatically Host User Domains in Rails/Apache

  Hi, I'm currently developing a user facing web application that gives each new user their own subdomain on the site, which is fine (using subdomain_fu), but is there a way to let a user map their own domain to this subdomain? I know how to do this manually through SSH-ing into the server and editing the Apache Vhosts file by hand, but is there a way to do this automatically so that a user simply enters their domain into a box on the site (obviously they'd have to change their own DNS elsewhere)? I'm using Ruby 1.8 and Rails 2.3.3 on top of Apache. Essentially letting; http://user.application.com/article-1 be accessed from http://userdomain.com/article-1 Thanks for any help!

• Why I cannot access the properties of my Custom ComboBox

  Ok, I created a windows control project....dropped a comboBox on it, wrote some custom code that I wanted on its event ( Text Changed event, etc) ... I can also compile it and drop it on a new WinForms App... good. But in my sample WinForms app that I want to use it, I cannot access the properties of that combo box.. it does not list them .. properties like SelectedItems, etc... what Am I doing wrong? this is my first time creating a custom control tho.   I'd like to have a submit button that submits a different value than is displayed on the button. With <input type="submit"> you can't seem to do this. With <button type="submit"> however, these can be two different values. The question is, will it work in all browsers? Trying this test code here: <form method="get" action=""> <input type="text" name="txt"/> <button type="submit" name="btn" value="val">text</button> </form> In FF 3.6 it updates my address bar with both values appropriately (and responds to me pressing enter in the text box). In IE 8, it also accepts pressing enter, displays the text value in the address bar, but it show the button's value as a GET param at all... does that mean it's not submitting it?

  I wanted to trace for all functions in an erlang module, with dbg:tpl, but one of the internal functions took up 95% of the trace file. I then wanted to exclude only that single function and found that it was not as easy as I thought it would be. I know there are great pattern matching possibilities for arguments when tracing. Is there a similar possibility to apply pattern matching for functions? eg.: {'=/=', '$2', function_name} I am open for outside-the-box solutions as well! Thank You!

• Handling "other" option in dropdown select with free text input field

  Hi, I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle a dropdown list where one of the options "other" shows a hidden text field (via jQuery), where the user can then enter text. Should both the dropdown and the input field be given the same "name" attribute, then server side code runs a check on the values of each in order to know what one is the active value - e.g if the value of the select box is "other", then check the value of the text input field - if this isn't the default value ("enter text"), then it's ok to use this value and save it to the database. Is this a messy approach to this problem?

  I know this is probably a very simple question, but can someone please walk me through how to take what a user inputs into a s:TextInput and use that as a variable in a JSON data request? Basically, I want to have a user enter a search term, like "math" and then have that placed into a variable so I can use it in a JSON request. Something like public var q:String, except that my search box (and hence user input) is on another "view" of the application. I've just started with Flex Mobile applications and I might be way out of my league. Does anyone know how to do this?

This code should just be pulling the local time so why is it a month behind? • Firefox Back Button is occaisionally breaking the back button.

  Having a really frustrating time with Firefox and the back button...given this simple ASP form: <head> <title>Form 1</title> </head> <body> <form action="form2.asp" method="post"> Enter some text:<input type="text" name="thetext" id="thetext"> <input type="submit" id="submit" name="submit"> </form> </body> </html> Firefox (3.6.3) will occasionally clear the value of the text box after hitting submit and then the back button. It's unpredictable when it will strike. And it will work for dozens to hundreds of times, and then all of a sudden it stops working. Any ideas where I should start?

I have checked if the file exists and if it's in the same directory and whatever and it is, so I'm pretty much clueless atm. Does anyone know what could be wrong here? Cheers.

  Many questions here on SO ask about custom classes. I, on the other hand, have no idea what they're talking about. "Custom class" seems to mean the same thing I mean when I say "class". What did I miss, back in the '80s, that keeps me from understanding? I know that it's possible to purchase a packaged system - for Accounting, ERP, or something like that. You can then customize it, or add "custom code" to make the package do things that are specific to your business. But that doesn't describe the process used in writing a .NET program. In this case, the entire purpose of the .NET Framework is to allow us to write our own code. There is nothing useful out of the box.

  I've been trying to get UISearchBarDisplayController to not animate, and stay fixed below the navigation bar. Is this even possible, I've been getting some weird results. This is all configured through a storyboard. I am just trying to figure out If I should just create my own implementation of UISearchBarDisplayController since it kinda seems a little impossible to customize it to my need. Clicking the search box When I start searching the top has extra paddding (20pt). It's assuming its on top of the origin y: 0 to prevent overlapping of status bar. • Split a sting array into a number array in javascript

  I am reading a value from a dropdown list depending on what option is selected. I am using jqPlot to graph the values. jqPlot expects an array of values like [91, 6, 2, 57, 29, 40, 95] but when I read the value in from the dropdown box it is coming in as a whole string "[91, 6, 2, 57, 29, 40, 95]" I tried splitting it but I got ["91", "6", "2", "57", "29", "40", "95"] which wont display the graph correctly. Is there anybody that has encountered something like this before and what can I do to make my values convert into a number array. Thanks for any help

• Do you have references issues with Visual Studio 2008 and C#.Net?

  I'm working on a project and it seems that every time someone checks out the project from source control to build it on their local box they have issues building because references are no longer resolved. I can't figure out if it's a configuration issues or a Visual Studio 2008 issue. Is anyone else having this problem? If so, is there something you can do to fix this issue? Note: it might have something to do with explicit paths to the DLLs being referenced or how they are referenced ... I'm not quite sure.
