  • Quickly open Windows Mobility Center in Windows 8 "tablet" mode

    I am using a Surface Pro (2013). I would like to know if there is a quick way to open the Windows Mobility Center desktop program. I like to use this program because it is easy to manipulate during the "tablet" (non-keyboard, no-mouse) mode. This program has multiple ways to be started, according to From How to Open and Use Mobility Center in Windows 7 and Windows 8: (Windows 8) Press Windows key + X and select Mobility Center Open the Control Panel and select "Windows Mobility Center" Open the Run dialog and type "mblctr.exe" and press Enter key. None of these are quick and easy when in "tablet" mode. I would ideally like to swipe from right screen edge into to open the Settings pop up and select one icon that opens the Mobility Center. Alternatively, another way I would like to have implemented would be to touch the Windows icon on the tablet screen outside of the viewing area and touch an "app" to launch the Mobility Center. Alternatively, it would be nice to have a Live Tile App that duplicates this functionality.

  • jquery selector problem with script tags

    I'm attempting to select all <script type="text/html"> tags in a page. I use <script> tags to store HTML templates, similar to how John Resig does it. For some reason, the following jquery selector doesn't seem to be selecting anything: $("script[type*=html]").each(function() { alert("Found script "+this.id); }); This markup is in the BODY of the HTML document: <body> <script id="filter-search" type="text/html"> <dt>Search</dt> <dd><input type="text"/></dd> </script> </body> I've also tried putting it into the HEAD of the HTML document, and it is still not found. No alert is ever shown. If I instead change my code to this: $("script[type*=javascript]").each(function() { alert("Found script "+this.id); }); Then it finds only the scripts in the HEAD that have a src to an external file. Scripts in the actual page are not found.   • Is there a way to import email from the raw email files?

    I have a client who recently switched hosts. When they switched hosts they didn't backup their email and updated their configuration settings so they lost everything. However, I was able to log in to their old hosting control panel and download their mail folder. I am wondering if there is a way to extract their emails and/or contacts from the files. I'm not sure what type of files they are, there is no extension, but the folder directory is structured like this: mail/ .Drafts/ .Sent/ .Trash/ cur/ new/ theirdomain.com/ tmp/ [email protected] maildir Inside of the theirdomain.com folder, there is a folder for each account and inside of that is a folder called "cur" which has a whole bunch of files with names like 1292945327.H169813P25958.uscentral21.myserverhosts.com,S=10117/2,S and if I preview those files I can see the actual email messages inside of them but I have no idea how to get that information from those files to an email client. Anyone know of a way to work with these files? Thanks in advance for any insight you can share!

  • extending satchmo user profile

    I'm trying to extend the basic user registration form and profile included in satchmo store, but I'm in problems with that. This what I've done: Create a new app "extendedprofile" Wrote a models.py that extends the satchmo_store.contact.models class and add the custom name fields. wrote an admin.py that unregister the Contact class and register my newapp but this still showing me the default user profile form. Maybe some one can show me the correct way to do this?

    Since PHP has no custom-class type-casting, how would I go about doing the PHP equivalent of this Java code: CustomBaseObject cusBaseObject = cusBaseObjectDao.readCustomBaseObjectById(id); ((CustomChildObject) cusBaseObject).setChildAttribute1(value1); ((CustomChildObject) cusBaseObject).setChildAttribute2(value2); In my case, it would very nice if I could do this.     Hello everyone I have a SD memory card which is of local manufacturer it allows to read & copy from it but not write as it is now write-protected so i want to format that card but could not. To format this card I have tried 1) DD command 2) mkfs -f vfat command 3) creating registry entry under storage device policy in window with write value 0 4) disk part command in window to clear attributes in which it show all attributes are clear ie no write protection 5) I format card in windows through control panel - administrative tools- computer management - disk management, then it show as formatted but when I tried to create new partition it give CYCLIC REDUNDANCY CHECK error 6) I downloaded a format utility from transcend site and formatted first it shows write protected again doing format it formats and tells to remove and reinsert after reinsertion it shows the previous data as it is

    Hi, I bind a command to a button through command property and doing a command binding in the page it is placed. In execute method I create an instance of a class that contains the background worker and I start it (this is a long task). The background worker (bw) class contains a variable isRunning that it is set to true before DoWork method is executed and to false when RunWorkerCompleted is executed. So from the code behind of the page where button is placed, in CanExecute method I set e.canExecute to true if bw is no running (isRunning = false), and e.canExecute to false if isRunning = true. WHen I press the button, it launch bw process for a long time and the button gets disabled. Ok this is correct, but when background worker (bw) finishes, the button doesn't returns to enabled until I press it again. When it is disabled and I press (when bw is finished) it gets enabled. I'm planning on retrieving the data from hook_form_submit(), but once I've done that, how do I append it below the form? It does not appear that I have access to $output from hook_form_submit().   • Firefox 3.5.6 Uninstaller not working

    Hi all, I want to uninstall Firefox 3.5.6 in favor of Opera 10.10. However, I've went into Control Panel Add or Remove Programs and tried clicking Remove from there, but nothing happens. I go into the Program Files for FIrefox and find the Uninstaller folder and click the helper.exe found in there. Still, nothing happens. Is there some possible way to uninstall Firefox without screwing up the rest of my computer?     Just would like some feedback on the best ftp program (not free). The requirements I'm looking for is: - secure ftp - for use on mac, linux, windows - backup utility with scheduler - for use on more than one computer (multi-license) I'm using wsftp from 2007 right now but it's only good for windows. It's license is only good for one computer. And after some vista updates it's making some strange noises. I tried to turn off the noise (via control panel) and it's still making that noise and I turned off the sound within wsftp too. I like the program but I think it's time to look for a new one.     Greetings Here is my situation. I currently have one website on my dedicated server. As of now, I have protected the directory /exclusive using the Plesk control panel. I am having a billing company install their password management script on the server but they need the absolute location to the .htpasswd file. I can't find it or the .htaccess file. Would it be easier to unprotect the /exclusive directory and create the .htaccess file in notepad? If this is done, where should I place the .htpasswd file? -jw
