• Problem in displaying image in FireFox

  Hello friends, I have a JSP page on which I have a div tag in which there is a a IMG tag. Using this IMG tag I want to show an image in it. Here the source path of an image is comes from database so I assigned a JSP variable using JSP scriplet. This JSP variable have the source path of an image. This path of image may be of different machine or of same machine i.e. images are stored on different machine or on same machine i.e. on local machine on different drive. The problem is that how to give path of image stored on different machine as well as on same machine. I have tried different ways like by giving ip address of that machine. Here is the path that of local machine where the image is stored img src= file:\localhost\D:\ScannedSheets\testproj/batch1/IMG001.jpg style="z-index:1; position:absolute; top:0; left:0; width:850; height:1099" With this syntax the image is visible in Internet Explorer but With the same syntax Its not visible in FireFox, Google Chrome etc. Please Guide me in friends. Also tell me that how to give path of the image stored on different machine which works In Internet Explorer, FireFox, Google chrome etc.

• C# Casting system.__comobject to class type

  I have an Excel Add-In that I'm currently trying to set up a unit test framework for. For the unit tests I've followed this guide: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/varsha/archive/2010/08/17/writing-automated-test-cases-for-vsto-application.aspx It seems to work fine, until I want to return a class object from my interface. Specifying the class object as the return type throws a "return argument has an invalid type" exception when calling the method. Changing the return type from the class to an object allows me to call the method and get the object, but now I'm unable to cast it as the class and use it as intended, getting this exception message when I try: > Unable to cast COM object of type 'System.__ComObject' to class type > 'anaplan.Utility.XYCoordinates'. Instances of types that represent COM > components cannot be cast to types that do not represent COM > components; however they can be cast to interfaces as long as the > underlying COM component supports QueryInterface calls for the IID of > the interface. I've retrieved the Type name using VisualBasic.Information.TypeName and it's showing it as the class I expect. Is there any way to get the comobject cast back to the class? Or another way to access the properties it has? Or am I just being a bit stupid here?

  Many thanks for your help on this. In order for an entreprise to get a call for tender it must meet certain requirements. For the first example the enterprise must have a minimal class 4, and have qualification 2 in sector 5. Minimal class is always one number. Qualification can be anything (single, or multiple using AND, OR logical operators) I have created tables in order to map each number to it's given name. • Problem with mathamatical calculation in JQUERY

  Hello friends! I have two text boxes. I enter number in one textbox. I write following JQUERY for that textbox which get executed when the focus out from first text box. The JQUERY code takes the entered value from first text box and multiply it by a decimal number 34.95 and display the answer in second text box. The code is doing the calculation little bit ok because when I enter the value 1000 in first text box it gives answer 34950 in second textbox and when I enter the value 100 in first text box it gives answer 3495.0000000000005 in second text box. **Please any one tell me what is the problem. is problem is in my JQUERY code. I also want to show the answer always in decimal point. • Selective replication with CouchDB

  I'm currently evaluating possible solutions to the follwing problem: A set of data entries must be synchonized between multiple clients, where each client may only view (or even know about the existence of) a subset of the data. Each client "owns" some of the elements, and the decision who else can read or modify those elements may only be made by the owner. To complicate this situation even more, each element (and each element revision) must have an unique identifier that is equal for all clients. While the latter sounds like a perfect task for CouchDB (and a document based data model would fit my needs perfectly), I'm not sure if the authentication/authorization subsystem of CouchDB can handle these requirements: While it should be possible to restict write access using validation functions, there doesn't seem to be a way to authorize read access. All solutions I've found for this problem propose to route all CouchDB requests through a proxy (or an application layer) that handles authorization. So, the question is: Is it possible to implement an authorization layer that filters requests to the database so that access is granted only to documents that the requesting client has read access to and still use the replication mechanism of CouchDB? Simplified, this would be some kind of "selective replication" where only some of the documents, and not the whole database is replicated. I would also be thankful for directions to some detailed information about how replication works. The CouchDB wiki and even the "Definite Guide" Book are not too specific about that.

• Fundamentals of Deserialization in .NET?

  I have been working with XML for past couple of months with .NET Basically all the work I do involve XML in oneway of another so I thought it would be good to learn the serialization and deserialization part of the game. My work mostly involves the 'Deserialization' part of it. Almost every time I have an XML file which has to be used by the application that I write. An object form of the XML is the best way to use. Now initially the XML was very straight forward, just a couple of tags which would translate into a class very easily using XSD.exe tool. Things grew a bit complex with nesting of tags and I found Xsd2Code gen tool work fine. During this whole process I have been able to do my work with a lot of help from Stackoverflow community, thanks for that, but I think I have missed the forest for the trees. I need to know how Deserialization works in .NET Fundamentally, I would like to know what happens behind the scenes in taking a XML and converting it into a usable object. Code samples have helped me in the past, and as mentioned earlier the problem get's solved but the learning does not happen. So, if anyone can guide to resources that can get me started on the Deserialization part of the game, I would be thankful to them. Regards.

• Creating 1 page PDF of iPad Screen view - How?

  Hi All, I've asked this question on a couple other forums and have had zero response, so I'm hoping someone here can help point me in the right direction. I have a pretty simple one screen application for my work. It's basically just a recreation of a 1 page paper report that has a company logo, some labels, a few text boxes and a scroll text box for the report. I need to be able to fill out the report then click a button to save it in a graphical form so I can fax, print or email it later. Currently, I'm just programmatically taking a screen capture and saving it to the photo's library (default for screen capture). Then I can just email it from photo's. This works ok, but is kind of hacky, at best. I've read through the new iPad 3.2 guide for creating PDF's (apparently it's supposed to be much easier than before) but I can not get it to work and I've spent countless hours on it now. I'm hoping someone has the answer for me. Alternatively, if anyone knows how I can redirect where the screen capture is stored (default is in the photo album) then maybe I can make that function work. If I could redirect the screen capture to store in my applications document folder, then I can use MFMailCompose to attach it to an email. Lastly, on a side note, does anyone know of a good way to capture a digital signature via touch. For instance, I'd love to have my users be able to just sign their name via touch at the bottom of the document before I convert to PDF or take a screen capture.   Hello guys, i guess that many of us has acceptable years of experience in PHP programming, me myself got 5 years programming in PHP since in University (not very solid), i just want to gather some suggestion here, what is better approach in PHP OOP? Since there is a lot of PHP framework out there as well as javascript framework, can anyone share their experience in using one of them as well as using both of the PHP and javascript framework together especially for developing enterprise system? (my company want to start using framework, ISP company) if someone has his/her own framework or class or php file so on and so forth, mind to share? now I've only database connection class. I've never use any php framework before, just jquery as javascript framework, my company has a messed up of programming approach because they did not actually a software house, so all the files are scattered across the server, I see that there are some question before about the framework but i just want to know you all approaches on OOP and in developing massive web apps using PHP, or maybe someone kind enough to share their solid written class.   Apologies if the title is in lowercase but it's describing an extension format. I've started using Dwoo as my template engine for PHP, and am not sure how to convert my PHP files into .tpl templates. My site is similar to, but not the same as, http://library.digiguide.com/lib/programme/Medium-319648/Drama/ with its design (except colour scheme and site name are different, plus it's in PHP - so copyright issues are avoided here, the design arguably could be seen as parody even though the content is different. The database is called tvguide, and it has these tables: Programmes House M.D. Medium Police Stop! American Dad! The tablenames of the above programmes are: housemdonair mediumonair policestopair americandad1 Episodes The tablenames for the above programmes' episode guides are: housemdepidata mediumepidata policestopepidata americandad1epidata All of them have the following rows: id (not an auto-increment, since I wish to dynamically generate a page from this) episodename seriesnumber episodenumber episodesynopsis (the above four after id do exactly as stated) I have a pagination script that works, it displays 20 records per page as I want it to. This is called pmcPagination.php - but I won't post it in full since it would take up too much space. • Google calendar query returns at most 25 entries

  I'm trying to delete all calendar entries from today forward. I run a query then call getEntries() on the query result. getEntries() always returns 25 entries (or less if there are fewer than 25 entries on the calendar). Why aren't all the entries returned? I'm expecting about 80 entries. As a test, I tried running the query, deleting the 25 entries returned, running the query again, deleting again, etc. This works, but there must be a better way. Below is the Java code that only runs the query once. • Configure Django project in a subdirectory using mod_python. Admin not working.

  HI guys. I was trying to configure my django project in a subdirectory of the root, but didn't get things working.(LOcally it works perfect). I followed the django official django documentarion to deploy a project with mod_python. The real problem is that I am getting "Page not found" errors, whenever I try to go to the admin or any view of my apps. Here is my python.conf file located in /etc/httpd/conf.d/ in Fedora 7 LoadModule python_module modules/mod_python.so SetHandler python-program PythonHandler django.core.handlers.modpython SetEnv DJANGO_SETTINGS_MODULE mysite.settings PythonOption django.root /mysite PythonDebug On PythonPath "['/var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs','/var/www/vhosts/mysite.com/httpdocs/mysite'] + sys.path" I know /var/www/ is not the best place to put my django project, but I just want to send a demo of my work in progress to my customer, later I will change the location. For example. If I go to www.domain.com/mysite/ I get the index view I configured in mysite.urls. • What happens to exinsting workspaces after upgrading to TFS 2010

  Hi, I was looking for some insight about what happens to existing workspaces and files that are already checked-out on people, after an upgrade to TFS2010. Surprisingly enough I can not find any satisfactory information on this. (I am talking about upgrading on new hardware by the way. Fresh TFS instance, upgraded databases) I've checked TFS Installation guide, I searched through the web, all I could find is upgrade scenarios for the server side. Nobody even mentions what happens to source control clients. I've created a virtual machine to test the upgrade process, The upgrade was successful and all my files and workspaces exist in the new server too. The problem is: The new TFS installation has a new instanceID. When I redirected on the clients to the new server, the client seemed unable to match files and file states in the workspace with the ones on the new server. This makes me wonder if it will be possible to keep working after the production upgrade. As I mentioned above I can not find anything on this, it would be great if anyone could point me to some paper or blog post about this. Thanks in advance...

Well, I'm new to Java programming, and I search over this web about use of Swing, AWT, 2D, etc. but I didn't get the answer I was looking for. I want to know about a book or method to learn Java GUI programming (not even sure this is a propper term). Previous answers guide me to Filthy Rich Clients by Romain Guy and also to The Swing Tutorial in Sun Web Page. and No offense, but...the first one seems too complex and the second one a bit disorganize. so I ask about a more "for dummies" method. • issue with tab bar view displaying a compound view

  I created a tab bar application, and I make the first tab a table. So I create a tableView controller, and go about setting the class identity of the view controller for the first tab to my tableView controller. This works fine, and I see the contents of the table filling up the whole screen. However, this is not what I actually want in the end goal - I would like a compound window having multiple views: - the aforementioned table - a custom view with data in it So what I do is create a nib for this content (call it contentNib), change the tab's class from the tableView controller to a generic UIViewController, and set the nib of that tab to this new contentNib. In this new contentNib I drag on a tableView and set File's Owner to the TableViewController. I then link the dataSource and delegate to file's owner (which is TableViewController). Surprisingly this does not work and I receive the error: **Terminating app due to uncaught exception 'NSInvalidArgumentException', reason: '*** -[UIViewController tableView:numberOfRowsInSection:]: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x3b0f910'** This is bewildering to me since the file's owner is the TableViewController, which has been assigned to be both the dataSource and delegate. Does someone have either insight into my confusions, or a link to an example of how to have a compound view include a tableView? *update* I see this in the Apple TableView programming guide: "Note: You should use a UIViewController subclass rather than a subclass of UITableViewController to manage a table view if the view to be managed is composed of multiple subviews, one of which is a table view. The default behavior of the UITableViewController class is to make the table view fill the screen between the navigation bar and the tab bar (if either are present)." <----- I don't really get what this is telling me to do though... if someone can explain or point me to an example I'd be much appreciated!

  Here's my problem: I'm trying to set up a simple mobile contact form with a captcha built in. The page I'm working on can be found here: http://m.lancasterpainting.com/contact.php I'm using the following php contact form: http://www.html-form-guide.com/contact-form/php-email-contact-form.html I want to first say that I'm not the only one to run into this problem. After googling the issue, I've found multiple people struggling with this, but no-one seems to have an answer. Now for the problem... As you can see if you visit the page, each time the page is accessed, an error appears that says "Error: couldnot get Form object contact_form". I cannot--for the life of me--figure out why the javascript can't find the form I pass it. I call the function that generates this error at the top of the page: var frmvalidator = new Validator("contact_form"); The form I'm referencing is as follows in the HTML code: <div data-role="page" data-theme="e" id="contact_form" name="contact_form" data-position="inline"> ... And the function that is called that generates the error can be found in an external .js file here: http://m.lancasterpainting.com/scripts/gen_validatorv31.js Is there something that I am simply not seeing?   hi, I have a jsf custom control which contains this: <rich:column> <c:if test="#{not empty columnTitle}"> <f:facet name="header"> <rich:spacer/> </f:facet> </c:if> <s:link view="#{view}" value="#{messages['edit']}" propagation="#{propagation}"> <f:param name="${paramName}" value="${paramValue}"/> </s:link> &#160; <h:commandLink action="#{entityHome.removeMethodName(entity)}" value="#{messages['remove']}"/> </rich:column> You see that command link action. I want it to call an action like this: action="#{documentHome.removeProperty(property)"} Well, in order to do this i call the control like: <up:columnDetails view="/admin/property.xhtml" columnTitle="yes" entity="#{property}" paramValue="#{property.propertyId}" propagation="nest" entityHome="documentHome" removeMethodName="removeProperty"/> So, i hardcode entityHome and removeMethodName. Well an error is firing. Caused by javax.servlet.ServletException with message: "#{entityHome.removeMethodName(entity)}: javax.el.MethodNotFoundException It seems that it cannot interpret "removeMethodName". If i print entityHome or removeMethodName it correctly shows the values i pass. But i think jsf has an error like not beeing able to "believe" that after an object.something, that something can be a parameter... Can anyone guide me...?

• data ownership and performance

  We're designing a new application and we ran into some architectural question when thinking about data ownership. we broke down the system into components, for example Customer and Order. each of this component/module is responsible for a specific business domain, i.e. Customer deals with CRUD of customers and business process centered around customers (Register a n new customer, block customer account, etc.). each module is the owner of a set of database tables, and only that module may access them. if another module needs data that is owned by another module, it retrieves it by requesting it from that module. so far so good, the question is how to deal with scenarios such as a report that needs to show all the customers and for each customer all his orders? in such a case we need to get all the customers from the Customer module, iterate over them and for each one get all the data from the Order module. performance won't be good...obviously it would be much better to have a stored proc join customers table and orders table, but that would also mean direct access to the data that is owned by another module, creating coupling and dependencies that we wish to avoid. this is a simplified example, we're dealing with an enterprise application with a lot of business entities and relationships, and my goal is to keep it clean and as loosely coupled as possible. I foresee in the future many changes to the data scheme, and possibly splitting the system into several completely separate systems. I wish to have a design that would allow this to be done in a relatively easy way. Thanks!

• Deleting from 2 arrays of dictionaries

  I have an array of dictionaries loaded from a plist (below) called arrayHistory. <plist version="1.0"> <array> <dict> <key>item</key> <string>1</string> <key>result</key> <string>8.1</string> <key>date</key> <date>2009-12-15T19:36:59Z</date> </dict> ... </array> </plist> I filter this array based on 'item' so that a second array, arrayHistoryDetail has the same structure as arrayHistory but only contains e.g. 'item's equal to '1'. These detail items are successfully displayed in a tableView. I then want to select an item from the tableView, and delete it from the tableView data source, arrayHistoryDetail (line 2 in the code below) - works, then I want to delete the item from the tableView itself (line 3 in the code below) - also works. My problem is that I also need to delete it from the original arrayHistory, so I tried the following: created a temporary dictionary as an ivar: NSMutableDictionary *tempDict; @property (nonatomic, retain) NSMutableDictionary *tempDict; Then my thinking was to make a copy in line 1 and remove it from the original array in line 4. 1 tempDict = [arrayHistoryDetail objectAtIndex: indexPath.row]; 2 [arrayHistoryDetail removeObjectAtIndex: indexPath.row]; 3 [tableView deleteRowsAtIndexPaths:[NSArray arrayWithObject:indexPath] withRowAnimation:UITableViewRowAnimationFade]; 4 [arrayHistory removeObject:tempDict]; Didn't work. Could someone please guide me in the right direction. I'm thinking that tempDict is a pointer and that removeObject needs a copy? I don't know. Thanks.

  I'm trying to learn how to implement a donation form on a website using virtual merchant. I was looking at cURL but it'a all very new to me and I spent a couple of hours trying to find some guide or some sample code on how to accomplish that.
