    I know it seems like a simple operation, but I can't find any resource or documentation that explains how to programmatically add and remove tags to a post using the post ID.   • I get a 400 Bad Request error while using django-piston

    Hello, I am trying to use Piston to provide REST support to Django. I have implemented my handlers as per the documentation provided . The problem is that i can "read" and "delete" my resource but i cannot "create" or "update". Each time i hit the relevant api i get a 400 Bad request Error.   • Missing prop-base file problem

    I am using Eclipse and SVNSubversion as a repository for a Java project. After updating the local repository and starting Eclipse, an error (in the Problems tab) appeared stating that a specific prop-base file was missing from the build path. Being inexperienced, I have accidentally deleted the prop-base file icon from the project build-path library section. Since then the numbers of errors have grown exponentially... What should I do? Updating the local repository and/or starting a new Eclipse project from the same source did not solve the problem, does anyone have an idea?

  • Are there any issues with MySQL's i18n(indic language) support ?

    Hi All, We're evaluating MySQL and PostgreSQL for building our indic language web application which will use MySQL or PostgreSQL. One of my colleagues mentioned that MySQL had issues with i18n. I mostly come from the Oracle world and although I've played a lil with MySQL, I don't know enough to know that there are issues with its i18n support. Does anyone know issues with MySQL's i18n support and if PostgreSQL would be better placed for building an application with indic language support(kannada, telugu, tamil, etc) ? Just so you know, we're going to be using J2EE to build this application and we will be using JDBC drivers to access the DB. P.S : Will anything change if we were to use Rails to build the app instead of J2EE ? Thank you,

  • What the performance of Festival TTS vs FreeTTS on windows platforms?

    9 hours ago I had the wonderful idea to build up from scratch Festival TTS on Windows. In the meanwhile, and in less than 30 minutes, I build up the same source code on Linux, but only because tons of development tools were already installed :D Also this morning I downloaded FreeTTS. I started a simple testing project in less of 10 minutes, thanks to the Java power :D. Unfortunately FreeTTS does not provide immediate support for international mbrola languages, so this morning I thinked "it needs too much work"... Backing to Festival TTS on Windows, after many obstacles, and tons of wrong downloads, CYGWIN before, then "make" and other exotic C++ tools "forgotten" in the installation of CYGWIN, then Visual Studio 2008, then Windows Platform SDK 2008, but it lacks of System.h, so just now I am downloading Windows Server Platform SDK 2003, etc... So now, as I am yet here without having compiled a single line of damned C-- code, my question is: at least Festival TTS is a good choice on Windows for Java development?

    Hi!. ISSUE:- I am using CFbuilder and my coldfusion server is on a Remote Desktop Services (RDS). Everything is working fine except that I do not see the folder that I am currently working on under CFbuilder /Navigator or CFbuilder /Prject/Build Working Set/. Even if I try to add "Prject/Build Working Set/Select working set/New" its not working. I want to add a "Working Set" so that it can show on my CFbuilder/Navigator on the right side. How do I do this with an RDS? Do I need the IP address Please help Thanks Vas

    my program is generating buttons from a mysql database.When one of the button is pressed, it would uplod the current time and the gps coordinate. Sadly, it only works if the same button is pressed twice, but its not an option, because the button has to dissappear.   • adding a flash object to FancyBox using jquery swfobject

    Fellows, I dont seem to be getting a solution. I have a a video gallery which I create by dynamically from a database. I have managed to create a flash object which plays well without FancyBox, however I want a person to click on the gallery and then an swobject is created which will then be show on a fancybox.   • Massive speed diff in upgrade to Java 7

    We use Java within our build process, as it is used to resolve/publish our dependencies via Ivy. No problem, nor have we had with it for 2 years, until we've tried to upgrade Java 6 Update 26 to Version 7 Update 7, whereas a build on a local developer PC (WinXP) now takes 2 hours to complete, instead of 10 minutes!! Nothing else has changed on the PC, making it the absolute target for our concerns. Does anyone know of any reason as to why version 7 of Java would make such a speed difference like this?

  • RAD Visual Web Application Creator/ Builder/ Designer for PHP

    Hi all, I want to see if any of you know a (free and open source will be ideal) tool/ app that can help build a php web application very quickly without investing too much time on writing codes, preferring drag and drop/ point and click work-flow designer for logic design (see Agile from Outsystems below). Plus, visual designer for the business logic is great since it can help a developer visualize the logic better. There are a lot of GUI builders, form builders out there, but I am looking for one app for the entire web application development process. My goal is to find an application that a team of developers can use together and use the build-in code of the app as much as possible. E.g. the app will provide a modular just for handle user login or a shopping cart; a developer just need to drag and drop the modular to the logic designer and the code will be generated. This way the functionality will be in a module and code will always be standard across developers. So if a new developer get on-board, he will just need to use the system and get up and running quickly. To explain this better: there is a lot php frameworks, e.g. cakephp, CodeIgniter, etc which I can use to help coding, but still I need to create (code) the GUI, writing quite a bit of codes. I am looking for a tool/ app that is a little more high level than those frameworks. Here is 2 examples apps I found during my google search which they have visual logic designer and gui builder in one single app. Also a single click deployment (but I need it to be php apps or at least I can deploy the (php) code to a LAMP/ WAMP server): Wavemaker: for JAVA Agile from Outsystems: for JAVA or .net (This one is really good, with work-flow drag and drop logic designer!) Talend: it is just an ETL tool, but the concept is what I want to bring up. Drag and drop, point and click logic design. Custom code can be added if it is needed, but the drag and drop process already finished the structure and most of the coding of the web app one needs to build. I want to list Adobe Flex, but it is more like a GUI designer + IDE, not exactly what I want to describe here. The drag and drop/ work-flow logic designer is a key for the app. I could go for the CMS route by learning how to extend them, but it is not that flexible for me and is a long learning curve. Anybody came across this type of app before? Or any idea of how can I find those apps? I googled them for long time, I don't see any of them for php and just few (just 2) for Java.     What is a "realistic" way to build a galaxy in 2D with wpf? I'm not interessed in the physical modelling but the graphical aspect. At least the stars (position, size, color, pulsing etc.) should be generated from code. Generating milkyways would be nice. Main questions are: Stars: lens flare? texturing? Milkyway: bump mapping?   • For REST, how do I receive posted data using PHP?

    I want to set up a tiny RESTful interface for my web services using PHP. The problem is that I looked at frameworks and I cannot figure out how do I recieve the posted data without field names? For example, if a server posts data to my server, I cannot figure out how do I get it without needing the postfield (POST variables). Traditionally, with forms, people send post data with field names such as this: curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, postfield=postvalue); and I would use PHP code like this: $postvalue=$_POST[postfield]; to get value of postfield but since the server posting data is not using postfield and is just sending XML, how do I get it without fields? How do I capture the XML? That's where I am lost.

  • UINavigationController Push Crash in Distribution but not Release

    I have a UINavigationController that I will be pushing a new view onto from selection of a UITableView row. I have tested this feature in "Release" configuration and it works perfectly, however when I build for "Distribution" it crashes when trying to push the new view onto the stack. - (void)tableView:(UITableView *)tableView didSelectRowAtIndexPath:(NSIndexPath *)indexPath { /* irrelevant code */ DetailsViewController *detailController = [[DetailsViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"DetailsViewController" bundle:nil]; detailController.name = tmpName; detailController.time = tmpTime; [self.navigationController pushViewController:detailController animated:YES]; return nil; } An exception is thrown on the line where the controller is pushed onto the stack. I have verified that the detailController is not nil. Again, this only happens in my "Distribution" build of the code. Any ideas?

    Hello, I want to develop some kind of reports in Asp.net with x-axis and y-axis being dynamics, allowing grouping by row and column, for example: have products in y-axis and date in x-axis having in body number of sells of a given product in a given date, if date in x-axis are years, i want subtotals for each month for a product (row) and subtotals of sells of all products in date (column) I know there are products available to build reports, but i am using Mysql, so Reporting Service is not an option. It's not necessary for the client build additional reports, i think the simplest solution is having a control to display such information and not using crystal report (which is not free) or something more complex, i want to know if is there an available free control to reach my goal. Well, does anybody know a control or have a different idea, thanks in advance.

    I'm building an "API API", it basically a wrapper for a in house REST web service that the web app will be making a lot of requests to. Some of the web service calls need to be GET rather than post, but passing parameters. Is there a "best practice" way to encode a dictionary into a query string? e.g.: ?foo=bar&bla=blah I'm looking at the urllib2 docs, and it looks like it decides by itself wether to use POST or GET based on if you pass params or not, but maybe someone knows how to make it transform the params dictionary into a GET request. Maybe there's a package for something like this out there? It would be great if it supported keep-alive, as the web server will be constantly requesting things from the REST service. Thanks!
