    I am trying to get Eclipse Galileo to re-run on my computer - i have run it before with no problems but now i keep getting this error: A java Runtime Environment (JRE) or Java Development kit (JDK) must be available in order to run Eclipse. No Java virtual machine was found after searching the following locations: C:\eclipse\jre\javaw.exe javaw.exe in your current PATH I've just done a fresh install of both the JDK and the SDK I have Windows 7 (x64) what's up with this? / how do i fix it-? UPDATE- i can't run any of the ipconfig / tracert / ping

    Is there a way that lets me run a shell script, and display the output in an NSTextView? I do not want any input from the user to the shell script at all, since is is just called to compile a buch of files. The shell script part works fine so far, but I just can't figure out how to run it and show the output in an NSTextView. I know a shell script can be run using system() and NSTask, but how do I get it's output into an NSTextView?

    I've used emacs for decades and always wondered, but kept on coding, if there was a way to type in something, them move the cursor and insert the same text, like the VI . command. Instead what I do is to type the text, set the mark, backup, copy the region, go to the next spot (often just C-n, down one line) and then pre-arg yank, C-u C-y. It's the overhead of set mark, backup and copy region that makes me just go ahead and retype the thing.

I find if a user is in /etc/sudoers file, then if the user run command with sudo, the user will run this command with root privilege (without knowing root password, the user runs sudo only need to input the user's own password in order to run a command with sudo).     I try to start plink.exe (PuTTY Link, the command line utility/version of PuTTY) from a C# application to establish an SSH reverse tunnel, but it does no longer work as soon as I pass the correct parameters. What does that mean? The following works as expected: it opens a command line window, displays that I forgot to pass the password for the -pw argument quits, and shows the prompt. I know it got the arguments, since it specifically requests the one thing I did not provide.     I'm setting up a parameterized build in hudson v1.362. the parameter i'm creting is used to determine which branch to checkout in subversion. I can set my svn repository url like this: https://my.svn.server/branches/${branch} and it does the checkout and the build just fine. now I want to tag the build after it finishes. i'm using the SVN tagging plugin for hudson to do this. so i go to the bottom of the project config screen for the hudson project and turn on "Perform Subversion tagging on successful build". here, i set my Tag Base URL to https://my.svn.server/tags/${branch}-${BUILD_NUMBER} and it gives me errors about those properties not being found. so i change them to environment variable usages like this: https://my.svn.server/tags/${env['branch']}-${env['BUILD_NUMBER']} and the svn tagging plugin is happy. the problem now is that my svn repository at the top is using the ${branch} syntax and the svn tagging plugin barfs on this: moduleLocation: Remote -https://my.svn.server/branches/$branch/ Tag Base URL: 'https://my.svn.server/tags/thebranchiused-1234'. There was no old tag at https://my.svn.server/tags/thebranchiused-1234. The modal view is dismissed by a button placed in a toolbar. It calls the following: [self dismissModalViewControllerAnimated: YES]; The problem I'm having is if rotate the screen, while the modal is up.   • Problems Executing iPhone "GenericKeychain" Example

    I can't get apple's "GenericKeychain" example to run. I have replaced all 5 occurrences, as mentioned in the readme file, of "YOUR_APP_ID_HERE.com.yourcompany" with my own string: se.[company name].[project name].demo. The compilation goes fine but when trying to run it on the phone, an error saying "The executable was signed with invalid entitlements" appears. And yes, I have an ad hoc provisioning profile installed. I've tried to add "Entitlements.plist" with "get-task-allow" checked but with the same result. Has anyone been able to run the example?     I've seen that Heroku charges $15/mo to run Delayed Job, and $3/mo to run cron tasks daily. Is it possible to skip that entirely and run my own cron tasks manually? Or are they somehow figuring out that I'm running cron tasks?

  • How to get Tomcat Working on WIndows 7?

    I have installed Apache Tomcat 5.X/6.X on my Winodws 7 PC. After the installaiton the service starts fine when I check the Start Tomcat box and click finish. However If I try to start the tomcat configuration tool or monitor tool from the start menu I can not start any of the Tomcat's services. I get an error in a message box stating "Access Deined. Unable to open Tomcat 5.5". What seems to be the problem? and How can I solve it? Even restarting the PC won't help. I also have JDK and JRE installed. Turing the firewall doesn't work too. Please Help! Note that I'm running 32bit Version of Windows 7.
