Xpath query to select node when attribute does not exist? [closed]

I want to select nodes for which a specific attribute does not exist. I've tried the Not() function, but it doesn't work. Is there a way for this? Example: The following Xpath query: group/msg[not(@owner)] Should retrieve the first node but not the 2nd one. First off, sorry for the lame title, but I couldn't think of a better one. I need to test a password to ensure the following: Passwords must contain at least 3 of the following: upper case letters lower case letters numbers special characters Here's what I've come up with (it works, but I'm wondering if there is a better way to do this): Dim lowerCase As New Regex("[a-z]") Dim upperCase As New Regex("[A-Z]") Dim numbers As New Regex("\d") Dim special As New Regex("[\\\.\+\*\?\^\$\[\]\|\{\}\/\'\#]") Dim count As Int16 = 0 If Not lowerCase.IsMatch(txtUpdatepass.Text) Then count += 1 End If If Not upperCase.IsMatch(txtUpdatepass.Text) Then count += 1 End If If Not numbers.IsMatch(txtUpdatepass.Text) Then count += 1 End If If Not special.IsMatch(txtUpdatepass.Text) Then count += 1 End If If at least 3 of the criteria have not been met, I handle it. I'm not well versed in regular expressions and have been reading numerous tutorials on the web. Is there a way to combine all 4 regexes into one? On a side note, is there a site that has an exhaustive list of all characters that would need to be escaped in the regex (those that have special meaning - eg. $, ^, etc.)? As always, TIA. Hi, this is just a question to discuss - what is the best way to make a view/edit control in WPF? E.g. we have an entity object Person, that has some props (name, surname, address, phone etc.). One presentation of the control would be a read-only view. And the other would have the edit view for this same person. HTML templating in C++ and translations

I'm using HTML_Template for templating in my C++-based web app (don't ask). I chose that because it was very simple and it turns out to be a good solution. The only problem right now is that I would like to be able to include translatable strings in the HTML templates (HTML_Template does not really support that). Ultimately, what I would like is to have a single file that contains all the strings to be translated. It can then be given to a translator and plugged back in to the app and used depending on which language the user chose in settings. I've been going back and forth on some options and was wondering what others felt was the best choice (or if there's a better choice that isn't listed) Extend HTML_Template to include a tag for holding the literal string to translate. So, for example, in the HTML I would put something like <TMPL_TRANS "this is the text to translate"/> Use a completely separate scheme for translation and preprocess the HTML files to generate the final template files (without the special translation lingo). For example, in the pre-processed file, translatable text would look like this: {{this is the text to translate}} and the final would look like: this is the text to translate Don't do anything and let the translators find the string to translate in the html and js files themselves.

Hi, I have a bool array of size 4 and I want to bind each cell to a different control. This bool array represents 4 statuses (false = failure, true = success). How do I use jquery to both download & delete files dynamically from servlet

Is it possible to a jquery $.get() to call a servlet and use it to both download a file or update the page without reloading the page? (Or more basically, can I download a file without reloading the page?) For example, I am using a servlet that either returns a file to download of mimetype "application/octet-stream", or returns text to be update in the page of type "text/html". Improving the efficiency of multiple concurrent Core Animation animations

I have a view in my app that is very similar to the month view in the built-in Calendar app. There's a subview that holds the individual cells (a custom UIView subclass that draws text into its layer), and when the user navigates to the next "month", I create the new cells and slide the view to show them. When the animation stops, I remove the old, hidden cells and set things up so it's ready to go for the next animation. This all works nicely. However, I'd like to animate the cells' text color, as in the Calendar app, so that the outgoing ones transition to a lighter color and the incoming ones transition to a darker color. The problems is that I can have as many as 70 cells, so doing individual animations is very slow -- between 5-10 fps on my iPhone 3GS. I'm trying to find a less computationally intense way of doing this. My reading of the Shark results is that the majority of the time is spent redrawing the text for each frame for each frame. This makes sense, since text rendering is hardly the cheapest operation. I've considered creating a second view -- one holding the "outgoing" state and one holding the "incoming" state and using a single opacity animation to gradually reveal the updated cells while both are sliding. I'm concerned that instead of having 70 cells, I'll have 140, which seems like a lot of views. So, is that too many views or would there be a better way of doing this?

I am given an assignment but I am totally new to Java (I have been programming in C++ and Python for two years). So we are doing GUI and basically we extended JFrame and added a couple fields. Say we have a field named "Text 1" and "Text 2". When user presses enter with the cursor in Text 1, move the focus to Text 2. For example; if I set the countdown for 5 hours at 2pm I want the timer to stop as soon as it hits 7pm. Also, when I set the timer for 5 hours I would like everyone in the world to see it countdown from 5 hours, no matter what the time is in their country. In the format: days hours minutes seconds. The reason I want to do this is for a streamer's website. He needs a flexible timer which can be manually changed and is the same worldwide for his viewers to know when he starts streaming. I have a Game in which there is a timer involved. For each two minutes that passes a new round between different players begins. So, I have a text box starting from 00:00 and changes each second until it is equal to 02:00. Now, I want to save the state of the game in the middle of a round if the user closes the form. What I need to do is that upon loading, the textbox starts at the time that the user left the game the last time and continue up till 02:00 normally. How can I do this? I have a button which i am trying to add a css class to appear disabled once the user has clicked it. protected void Button_Continue_OnClick(object sender, EventArgs e) { Panel_Error.Visible = false; Literal_Error.Text = ""; if (RadioButton_Yes.Checked) { ...//if radio checked get text and process etc. } } My button onlick is above which simply processes a textbox filled on the page. My button looks like this: <asp:Button runat="server" ID="Button_Continue" CssClass="button dis small" Text="Continue" OnClick="Button_Continue_OnClick" ClientIDMode="Static" OnClientClick="return preventMult();" /> And my javscript is as follows: <script type="text/javascript"> var isSubmitted = false; function preventMult() { if (isSubmitted == false) { $('#Button_Continue').removeClass('ready'); $('#Button_Continue').addClass('disabled'); isSubmitted = true; return true; } else { return false; } } </script> The problem I am having is that the css class added works fine on the first postback, but after which my button onclick doesnt work and the button cant be clicked again if the user needs to resubmit the data if it is wrong Another problem I am having is that with a breakpoint in my method i notice that the method is fired twice on the click.
