    check this out Type configPropType = configurableProp.getPropertyType(); string attValue = xmlelement.GetAttribute(configurableProp.getName()); configProps[configurableProp.getName()] = attValue; At the point where I am setting the value that got read in from XML it turns out the assigning object needs to be parsed to the correct type for it to work. I need something like. configProps[configurableProp.getName()] = configPropType.ParseToThisType(attValue); Looked around on msdn but its a very confusing place.

  • SVN Export while retaining permissions

    Hey all- I have some files in my SVN repository that I would like to have execute permissions. When I check them into the repository with 755 permissions and run an svn export, the resulting files have 644 permissions. There doesn't appear to be an option in "svn export" to retain the permissions. Am I missing something? Thanks- Jonathan

  • Java code compression and decompression of a string

    I am having a problem figuring how to check a string for the same characters in a row then count that same character in a row then printing it out then giving the location of the last occorance of that character count then printing it out then moving to the next character in the string that is different then the previous character and the program is case sensitive. So the input could be: aaaaAAAbbbddccc How would I compress this string to: a4A3b3d2c3 ? and then decompress it?
