  • can the web.config be changed so roles wouldn't work any more?

    I have had two instances of this problem, first on my local computer, now on the main site. Users can log in to the site, but it doesn't seem to recognize their roles. When I log in (which the database still recognizes as having the role admin), the code does not recognize it as being in the admin role. If there are other web.configs in subfolders, would that cause the problem? What could possibly cause this issue? Thanks! scojomodena

Does it create core dump file, or I need to do something to enable core dump creation, in the program itself, or on computer where it is executed? Where this file is created, and what is its name?

    I'm using another computer than normal to do iPhone dev. Now I'm trying to get my apps onto my iPhone, but fail with the certificates, keys and stuff. Refer to this thread: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/613719/iphone-provisioning-problem-public-private-key Actually I'm able to download my cert no problem from Apple's site, but how would I get at the keys needed? (private, public), I see no way of getting them...

    Hi, I first learned C++ then moved to C (I know kind of backwards) and then I found a thing called iTunes U and began watching programming classes to extend my knowledge and noticed that Stanford and MIT both did not teach C or C++ as an introduction to computer programming. Then I began to wonder why they didn't begin teaching C/C++ because I thought C/C++ was more efficient than Java (which Stanford taught) and Python (which MIT taught). Or maybe there is no particular reason?

  • C++ static array leading to memory leak?

    Lets say I have something like... void foo() { char c[100]; printf("this function does nothing useful"); } When foo is called, it creates the array on the stack, and when it goes out of scope, is the memory deallocated automatically? Or is c destroyed, but the memory remains allocated, with no way to access it/get it back except restarting the computer?

  • How to count time securely in a Flash game?

    Hello. I'm developing a Flash game in ActionScript 2, and the issue if that this game has to count the time securely. It can't count the time from the Date class because the Flash Player takes the time from the local computer, and the user can change the local time so the time reported would be fake. I haven't considerend to take the time from the server because there's a 3WH (3 way handshake) time and it would not be practical. What do you sugest me??

    I currently have 5 tables in MySQL database. Some of them share foreign keys and are interdependent of each other. I am displaying classes accordingly to their majors. Each class is taught during the fall, spring or all_year. In my database I have a table named semester which has an id, year, and semester fields. The semester field in particular is a tinyint that has three values 0, 1, 2. This signifies the fall, spring or all_year. When I display the query instead of having it show 0 or 1 or 2 can I have it show fall, spring etc? Extra: How can I add space to the end of each loop so the data doesn't look clustered?   • Any tips for how to build a LED system thet will light up to music?
