  • apt-get -f install removed software center and several other files

    I ran sudo apt-get -f install and several files and programs were removed including software center. Is there a way to re-download everything as if ubuntu was new again without a cd? This computer does not have a cd-rom drive. I'd be fine with losing all the data on this computer. Also, when I run sudo apt-get install (almost anything) I get errors about dependencies and files not being available. Thanks to anyone who can help.

For some reason when I try to run it on both of my computers and qemu, it freezes up. Sadly I cant access a console to view all my logs, but I do have a dump of the boot process.     I have two problems with new Ubuntu 13.10. 1, Black screen problem: - Between GRUB and loading screen adopts black screen for 10 minutes and between the loading screen and the desktop appearance is a black screen for 20-30 seconds. 2, Wake problem: - After the suspension is to move the keyboard does not work or I can not do anything about it, because nothing works. 3, Full screen problem - When I back from full screen, I can't see the Unity, instead I see the window. :/ Please help me.

Now I wanna find out how to make that if I hit the Enter key the tile's texture change to another.     I recently installed Ubuntu 13.10, and thought I properly set things up to dual boot into Windows 8, but I continually get .efi errors when I attempt to boot into Windows 8. I installed Boot-Repair and used that to run the recommended fixes. It provided additional boot options within the GRUB2, but none (other than Ubuntu) are working.     My Synaptics Touchpad v7.4 won't move when I'm using my arrow keys. Everywhere I've looked on the internet is telling me to go to Device Pointer Properties Settings Pointing Sensitivity Palm Check and adjust those Palm Check settings, but that option isn't there and it isn't anywhere else. I've also read about going to something called "Smart Sense" but I didn't see that either. If someone could please help me, I would really appreciate it.
