• jQuery only firing last class in multiple-class click

  I have a set of links like so: <a href="#internalLink1" class="classA">This has Class A</a> <a href="#internalLink2" class="classB">This has Class B</a> <a href="#internalLink3" class="classA classB">This has Class A and Class B</a> And here's the corresponding jQuery: $('.classA').click(function(){ // do class A stuff }); $('.classB').click(function(){ // do class B stuff }); Currently, when I click on the first link with Class A, it does the Class A stuff like it's supposed to. Similarly, when I click on the second link with Class B, it does the Class B stuff like it's supposed to. No worries there. My issue is, when I click on the third link with BOTH classes, it only fires the function for whichever class comes last (in this case, class B. If I put class A at the end instead, it performs class A's function). I want it to fire both. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance. EDIT: To those posting fiddles, nearly all of them work, so as many have said, it's most likely not my code, but the way it displays in my file. For a little more clarification, I was teaching myself some jQuery and decided to try making a (very) simple "Choose Your Own Adventure" type game. Here's a jsfiddle containing the opening of my bare-bones-please-don't-laugh game. Click on "Hide in the bushes", then "Examine the victim", then "Take any valuables and leave, he's dead already" <-- THIS is where the issue is. It's supposed to add 98 gold ("hawks") to your inventory, AND tell you that your alignment has shifted 1 point towards Chaotic. At the moment, it only does the chaotic alert, and no gold gets added to your inventory. The other option (refresh the fiddle to restart) that adds money to your inventory, but DOES NOT make you chaotic, works just fine (if you select "Search him for identification" instead of "take the money and run") Sorry this is so long!

• How to get an error message out of my webpage

  I have a web page that when I run it on a remote computer I get the message saying that remote errors cannot be viewed When I go to view it on my web server machine, I get a message saying: Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage • Most likely causes: • You are not connected to the Internet. • The website is encountering problems. • There might be a typing error in the address. What you can try: Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected. Retype the address. Go back to the previous page. I can get to google fine, so it is not the internet connection.... But this message gives me nothing to work on. How can I get more info as to why my page is not working? I tried going to IIS Mananger and right clicking on the site and selecting browse. But my site is an HTTPS site so that does not work. Any ideas would be great.

  Hi! I'm currently developing for an application (www.domain.se, .eu) where we're experiencing problems with sessions not propagating across domains. Internet Explorer is the root cause of this, as it will differentiate sessions depending on whether we're typing in "domain.se" or "www.domain.se". Due to some unfortunate redirecting, we're not able to keep the user on the same address the user typed in, instead we're always redirecting to www.domain.se on login. Needless to say, IE users can not login when typing "domain.se". To make this error go away, we implemented a function to try and set the session to be valid across all possible domains by doing the following: if($_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] == "domain.se") { session_set_cookie_params(3600, '/', '.domain.se', true); } There are basically a few if:s that we go through depending on what address the user typed in, but the third argument stays the same. This, however, results in no-one being able to log in, regardless of domain. I've tried reading up on how session_set_cookie_params() works but to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated!

• Is MySQL caching occurring, how to fix it?

  I think that MySQL or ASP.NET is caching my queries. I edited my MySQL sproc to remove some parameters but it keeps saying that those parameters are missing. Here is what happens: ASP.NET app calls a MySQL stored procedure. Everything works perfect. I delete some parameters from the sproc and ASP.NET parameter list accordingly. All parameters exactly match in case and order from the new ASP.NET and MySQL sproc code Upon execution, it fails, saying : System.ArgumentException: Parameter 'deleted_parameter_foo_bar' not found in the collection. at MySql.Data.MySqlClient.MySqlParameterCollection ... I delete the sproc from the database, restart my browser, and reexecute the ASP.NET page. It says the same error, that the parameter is missing - but the sproc itself doesn't exist anymore. ( I know 100% that I am editing/deleting from the right database. ) How do I fix this or make it work again; I want it to use my new sproc instead of the old one ? _o

• Why could "insert (...) values (...)" not insert a new row?

  Hi, I have a simple SQL insert statement of the form: insert into MyTable (...) values (...) It is used repeatedly to insert rows and usually works as expected. It inserts exactly 1 row to MyTable, which is also the value returned by the Delphi statement AffectedRows:= myInsertADOQuery.ExecSQL. After some time there was a temporary network connectivity problem. As a result, other threads of the same application perceived EOleExceptions (Connection failure, -2147467259 = unspecified error). Later, the network connection was reestablished, these threads reconnected and were fine. The thread responsible for executing the insert statement described above, however, did not perceive the connectivity problems (No exceptions) - probably it was simply not executed while the network was down. But after the network connectivity problems myInsertADOQuery.ExecSQL always returned 0 and no rows were inserted to MyTable anymore. After a restart of the application the insert statement worked again as expected. For SQL Server, is there any defined case where an insert statment like the one above would not insert a row and return 0 as the number of affected rows? Primary key is an autogenerated GUID. There are no unique or check constraints (which should result in an exception anyway rather than not inserting a row). Are there any known ADO bugs (Provider=SQLOLEDB.1)? This works fine in Firefox and Chrome etc, but it does not work in any version if Internet Explorer. • php parsing csv with ftell

  I have a 500mb csv file with over 500,000 lines, each with 80 fields. I am using fget to process the file line by line. $col1 = array(); while (($row = fgetcsv($handle, 1000, ",")) !== FALSE) { $col1[] = $row[0]; } Because of an execution time limit on the PHP file by my hosting provider (120 seconds), I can't process the whole file in one run. I tried using ftell() and fseek() to remember the last position for restart. The trouble is, sometimes the ftell() position is in the middle of a row, and resuming means missing the first half of the row. Is there an elegant way to know the last line successfully processed, and resume from the one after it? I realize I can do a simple counter, and then loop through to that point again, but that would produce diminishing returns on the rows I can process towards the end of the file. Is there something like ftell() and fseek() that would work in my case? Or a way to limit ftell() to return the pointer for the end of the previous line?

• Windows 2008 and wrong BPL loading [SOLVED]

  I have an application builded with Run-time Packages. When the executable starts it auto loads the required packages (.bpl). Recently we has installed an Windows 2008 R2 server to use as Terminal Services. We maintain some old compiled versions of our application in different paths, like this: c:\app\version_1\common.bpl c:\app\version_1\app.exe c:\app\version_2\common.bpl c:\app\version_2\app.exe Common.bpl is the a run-time package what app.exe depends on. THE PROBLEM: I start "c:\app\version_2\app.exe" and it loads "c:\app\version_2\common.bpl". When I start the "c:\app\version_1\app.exe" it loads the WRONG bpl (from version_2). The path "c:\app\version_2\" isn't at the system search path. At Windows2003 server this problem doesn't occurs. What can I do to solve this? Thanks! I have downloaded the Process Explorer (microsoft sysinternals), and checked the loaded modules of each executable, all they are correct! But I noticed another problem. After start the second version, an entry-not-found-error occurs, telling me what a initialization entry point, of an unit what only exists in one of the versions, could not be found. Something is very strange. The ProcessExplorer is telling me that the process is loading the correct modoles, but when they are running this seems not be happening. Seems the applications are sharing the loaded modules. SOLVED There was a MouseHook using FindVCLWindow, this was generating the AV. Sorry about inconvenience guys, and thanks!

  I am trying to make an android app that makes connection with bluetooth device. It works fine but when I call BluetoothSocket.connect() and it is not able to connect to devise its blocking. The thread and does not throw any exception. So when I try to close application while connect() is running its not responding. How can I cancel it? • can upstart expect/respawn be used on processes that fork more than twice?

  I am using upstart to start/stop/automatically restart daemons. One of the daemons forks 4 times. The upstart cookbook states that it only supports forking twice. Is there a workaround? how it fails If I try to use expect daemon or expect fork upstart uses the pid of the second fork. When I try to stop the job nobody responds to upstarts SIGKILL signal and it hangs until you exhaust the pid space and loop back around. It gets worse if you add respawn. Upstart thinks the job died and immediately starts another one. bug acknowledged by upstream A bug has been entered for upstart. The solutions presented are stick with the old sysvinit, rewrite your daemon, or wait for a re-write. rhel is close to 2 years behind the latest upstart package so by the time the rewrite is released and we get updated the wait will probably be 4 years. The daemon is written by a subcontractor of a subcontractor of a contractor so it will not be fixed any time soon either.

• PHP suddenly failed after IIS update

  All my application pools were stopped this morning after I got to work. I can restart them, but when I try to load the website the app pool crashes again. Update: I've looked in the GAC as the error below suggests and it seems that the file is not there. How do I get it back? Update 2: I found a further error in the event log saying The Module name FastCgiModule path C:\WINDOWS\System32\inetsrv\iisfcgi.dll returned an error from registration. The data is the error. So following the information from here http://forums.iis.net/t/1153937.aspx I removed CGI and my sites are working again. This has fixed the initial problem, but now I don't have FastCGI so I'm fairly sure that PHP will no longer be working (I don't have any PHP at the moment to test). • SCVMM 2012 R2 - Installing Virtual Switch Fails with Error 2916

  So I've been attempting to teach myself SCVMM 2012 and Hyper-V Server 2012 R2, and I seem to have hit a snag. I've connected my Hyper-V Host to SCVMM 2012 successfully, and created a logical network, logical switch, and uplink port profile (which I essentially blew through with the default settings). However when I attempt to create a virtual switch on my Hyper-V host, I run into an issue. The job will use my logical network settings I created to configure the virtual switch, but when it tries to apply it to the host, it stalls and eventually fails with the following error: Error (2916) VMM is unable to complete the request. The connection to the agent vmhost1.test.loc was lost. WinRM: URL: [h**p://vmhost1.test.loc:5985], Verb: [GET], Resource: [h**p://schemas.microsoft.com/wbem/wsman/1/wmi/root/virtualization/v2/Msvm_ConcreteJob?InstanceID=2F401A71-14A2-4636-9B3E-10C0EE942D33] Unknown error (0x80338126) Recommended Action Ensure that the Windows Remote Management (WinRM) service and the VMM agent are installed and running and that a firewall is not blocking HTTP/HTTPS traffic. Ensure that VMM server is able to communicate with econ-hyperv2.econ.loc over WinRM by successfully running the following command: winrm id –r:vmhost1.test.loc This problem can also be caused by a Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) service crash.   I am trying to set up ssl support for Apache 2 on Debian. Versions are: Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 apache2 2.2.16-6+squeeze1 I followed a lot of how-tos for days but I couldn't make it work. • Networking issues with Linux server (CentOS 5.3)

  I have a Linux server hosting our bug tracking software (CentOS 5.2 Kernel 2.6.18-128.4.1.el5) that I have having some strange network problems with. The machine is configured with two NICS, one for the public interface and the other for our server back end network. The problem is that after doing a service network restart I can ping the public interface and it sends anywhere from 200-500 ICMP packets and then all of a sudden I start getting a request timed out error. Strange but as soon as I connect to the private interface the ping starts working again to the public interface. I clearly have a routing issue somewhere. I have a Juniper Router with the following configuration. Interface 0/0 -- Connect subnet to the ISP at our co-location Interface 0/2 -- For our DRAC network Interface 0/3 -- The Server-backend network (plugs directly into a switch that feeds to all the NICs that are on the 10.3.20.x network. Interface 0/4 -- Plugs directly into another switch that feeds our public interfaces, that interface as all the gateways from our public ip rangs as secondary IP addresses. I hope that someone can ask the right questions that can lead me to check things and figure out what is going on. Has anyone had similar problems and what kind of things should I be checking?   Oracle Application Server Performance Monitoring and Tuning (CPU load high) i have just hired by a company and my boss give me a performance issue to solve as soon as possible. I don't have any experience with the Java EE before at the server side. Let me begin what i learned about the system and still couldn't find the solution: We have an Oracle Application Server (10.1.) and Oracle Database server (9.2.), the software guys wrote a kind of big J2EE project (X project) using specifically JSF 1.2 with Ajax which is only used in this project. They actively use PL/SQL in their code. So, we started the application server (Solaris machine), everything seems OK. users start using the app starting Monday from different locations (app 200 have user accounts,i just checked and see that the connection pool is set right, the session are active only 15 minutes). After sometime (2 days) CPU utilization gets high,%60, at night it is still same nothing changed (the online user amount is nearly 1 or 2 at this time), even it starts using the CPU allocated for other applications on the same server because they freed If we don't restart the server, the utilization becomes %90 following 2 days, application is so slow that end users starts calling. The main problem is software engineers say that code is clear, and the System and DBA managers say that we have the correct configuration,the other applications seems OK why this problem happens only for X application. I start copying the DB to a test platform and upgrade it to the latest version, also did in same with the application server (Weblogic) if there is a bug or not. i only tested by myself only one user and weblogic admin panel i can track the threads and dump them. i noticed that there are some threads showing as a hogging. when i checked the manuals and control the trace i see that it directs me the line number where PL/SQL code is called from a .java file. The software eng. says that yes we have really complex PL/SQL codes but what's the relation with Application server? this is the problem of DB server, i guess they're right... I know the question has many holes, i'd like to give more in detail but i appreciate the way you guide me. Thanks in advance ... Attempting to install pdo_dblib from the appropriate version php source code. I have tried a variety of methods and searched quite a bit for help on this topic, but have yet to be successful. Method 2 Install freetds following the instructions exactly, i add the prefix $ ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/freetds $ make $ su root Password: $ make install This is successful Install pdo_dblib inside the /ext/pdo_dblib folder: $ phpize $ ./configure --with-sybase=/usr/local/freetds This produces the following error at the bottom of the output ... checking for PDO_DBLIB support via FreeTDS... yes, shared configure: error: Cannot find FreeTDS in known installation directories Method 3 freetds ./configure variation (including or not include the --prefix...) did not change the result of this so I'll skip it. Install pdo_dblib pecl extension following the method specified here. pecl download pdo_dblib tar -xzvf PDO_DBLIB-1.0.tgz Removed the line, <dep type=”ext” rel=”ge” version=”1.0?>pdo</dep> Saved the package.xml file, and moved it in to the PDO_DBLIB directory. mv package.xml ./PDO_DBLIB-1.0 Navigated to the PDO_DBLIB directory, then installed the package from the directory. cd ./PDO_DBLIB-1.0 pecl install package.xml But, this command gives me the following error output, same as Method 2. checking for PDO_DBLIB support via FreeTDS... yes, shared configure: error: Cannot find FreeTDS in known installation directories ERROR: `/home/sybase/Install_items/pecl_pdo_dblib/PDO_DBLIB-1.0/configure' failed

• Macbook Pro - Randomly sleeps and won't wake up

  All, I have a Macbook Pro 13" (mid 2009) that has had a long time issues which seems to be getting worse. Occasionally, I will go to wake the computer with the keyboard and can't wake it. The HDD spins up, the light on the front of the computer stops blinking, but as soon as it seems like the display should light up, the HDD stops and the light begins blinking again. More rarely, the computer will suddenly sleep while I am using it and then enters the same sleep loop. The only way to resume working on the computer is to wait. Doing a hard restart just puts it right back into the 'sleep loop.' The Genius bar has insisted that the problem would be resolved by reinstalling Lion (which they did, but didn't fix anything, still insisting...). Please don't say "logic board." Thoughts?
