  Dear experts, I download the Android code and "make sdk" to build out my own SDK, but the emulator from this SDK does not work well -- it only shows the black window with the "ANDROID" string, but I can't see any desktop picture or any applications. what's wrong here? anyone could please provide me a hint? • Triggering a Gtk+ menu bar on hover

  I've writing a Gnome window-switcher applet in PyGtk+ using menu items to represent the different applications running on the desktop. One thing I'd like to do is to activate the menu item under the cursor when I hover over the menubar. I can connect to the 'enter-notify-event' on the menu bar, but I don't know what to when it is triggered. So that's my question, how can I make the submenus of the menu bar open when I hover over their parent items?

  Say I have a TODO list iphone app, that can be edited/viewed from both a web application and the iphone application. When on the iphone, when a user views all his todo lists, or sub-items, I would think that each time the user views a particular list it shouldn't be hitting the web applications API every-time, but rather cache locally the values and only hit the web when things change.
