• Connecting to Magento Web Services with Java

  I was in the unenviable position of needing to connect to Magento, a PHP ecommerce platform, web services using Java.  It was kind of difficult to get the classes generated from the WSDL so I figured I would throw the results up on my github account for any other poor sap in a similar position. First, pull down the project using git: git clone git://github.com/webdevwilson/magento-java.git and build it with maven: mvn install Here is a quick example of how to pull an order using the generated classes: MagentoServiceLocator serviceLocator = new MagentoServiceLocator(); String url = "http://domain.com/index.php/api/v2_soap"; Mage_Api_Model_Server_V2_HandlerPortType port = serviceLocator.getMage_Api_Model_Server_V2_HandlerPort(url); String sessionId = port.login("username", "key"); SalesOrderEntity salesOrder = port.salesOrderInfo(sessionId, orderId); I also have some wrapper code in there that makes it a little easier to call the API. • View HTML Tags and Webpage Combined in Firefox

  Do you want an easier way to see a webpage’s html tags without viewing the source code in a separate window? Now you can view the webpage and tags combined in the same window using the X-Ray extension for Firefox. Before Usually if you want to see the source code behind a webpage you have to view it in a separate window. If you are only interested in a specific section then you have to search through the entire set of code just to find what you are looking for. After The X-Ray extension will let you see the document’s tags (including class and ID names) “side by side” with the webpage in the same tab. You can use either the context menu or the tools menu to access the X-Ray command. Here is the same webpage section shown in the first screenshot above. It may look a little odd at first until you get used to seeing both together. Note: You can return the webpage to its’ normal view by either clicking on the X-Ray command again or refreshing the page. The code for part of the sidebar on the same webpage… Followed by one of the sets of links at the end. Looking at another example suppose you are interested in how part of the main feed is set up. Being able to see how a particular element is set up directly in the webpage is certainly better than searching through the entire page of code. Conclusion If you design webpages and want an easy way to see how someone else’s website is coded then you may want to give this extension a try. • Why PartCover report shows 0% when mstest runs successfully and all tests pass

  Hello, I'm trying to get code coverage with mstest tests. I'm using PartCover 2.2.0.36424. The problem is with real assemblies, I get 0% code coverage (Note: All tests pass). On demo test for demo source that I created, it worked fine (the report makes sense). I noticed that in log file: for demo files, after line "Assembly AAAAAA loaded (MyTestesAssemblyName)", there is line "Class NNNNNN loaded (MyTestesAssemblyName.MyClassname)"; and for the real files ther is no second line (for class) after the line for assembly. Have any ideas what is different in our assemblies? (Note: they are not signed) 10x.

  Getting and Setting the URL, and different parts of the URL are a basic part of Application Design. For Page Navigation Deep Linking Providing a link to the user Querying Data Passing information to other pages Both angularjs and javascript provide ways to get/set the URL and parts of the URL. I'm looking for the following information: Situation: Show a simple URL in the browser address bar to the user Provide a more detailed URL with string parameters to the page that the user will not see. In other words, two different URLs will be used, one simple one that the user sees in the browser, a more detailed one available to the page on load. Get URL info with PHP when then page intially loads, both don't reload the PHP page when the user needs more detailed info that is already loaded but not displayed yet. Set the URL with a more detailed URL for deep linking as the user drills down to more specific information. Get URL info in a controller or JavaSript when angularjs detects a change in the URL with routing. Hash or Query String or Both? Should I use a hash # in the URL, a string ?= or both? Here is what I currently know and what I want: A Query String HTTP:\\www.name.com?mykey=itemID will prevent angularjs from reloading the page. So, I can change the URL by adding/changing the string at the end, thereby providing new info to the page, and keep the page from reloading. I can change the URL and force a page reload with: window.location.href = "#Store/" + argUserPubId + "?itemID=home"; If home is the itemID string, I want code to simply load the page, and not display more detailed information. If there is a real itemID in the URL query string, I want the code to display the more detailed information. Code from angularjs will run either from the controller specified in the routing, or a controller specified in the HTML, or both. The angularjs code specified in the routing seems to run first, before the code specified in the HTML. A different URL for the page can be used in angularjs templateURL: than the URL that was sent to the browser address bar. when('/Store/:StoreId', { templateUrl: function(params){return 'Client_Pages/Stores.php?storeID=' + params.StoreId;}, controller: 'storeParseData' }).
