  I wonder if C# (or the underlying .NET framework) supports some kind of "generic delegate instances": that is a delegate instance that still has an unresolved type parameter, to be resolved at the time the delegate is invoked (not at the time the delegate is created). I suspect this isn't possible, but I'm asking it anyway... Here is an example of what I'd like to do, with some "???" inserted in places where the C# syntax seems to be unavailable for what I want.   In my ASP.NET MVC 3 application I have classes like the following: public class Localization<T> { public int VersionID { get; set; } public T Value { get; set; } ... } public class Localizable<T> { public Localization<T>[] Name { get; set; } ... } Then, I have the following view: @model dynamic ... @for (int i = 0; i < VersionCount; i++) { ... @Html.Editor(string.Format("Name[{0}.Value", i)) ... } Now, when I display this view, passing a subclass of Localizable<string> as the model, the textboxes for the strings are rendered, but they are empty. If I replace @Html.Editor(string.Format("Name[{0}.Value", i)) with @InputExtensions.TextBox(Html, string.Format("Name[{0}].Value", i), Model.Name[i].Value), the textboxes are correctly filled with values from the model. However, using TextBox instead of Editor is not an option for me, because I want to use different editor templates for different types of T. So, what am I doing wrong, or is it a bug in MVC, and is there any workaround?

Will the strong name of core .Net assemblies change when patches are installed or new versions of the .Net framework are released? If so, how can I load an assembly from the GAC without using it's strong name?

  I've search for hours and not found an example that allows for the very first position to be the lowest. I'm getting 'False' instead of the value returned .... EDIT: Oddly enough if I run a 2nd instance as MAX_Landed with ascending it returns a value just fine. If I switch the order in the XSLT the first instance will return 'False' and the 2nd will work. How can I change the URL for a single page in Wordpress? Given that I don't want to change the permalinks which will affect the whole site.   The standard says A variable is introduced by the declaration of an object. The variable's name denotes the object. But what does this definition actually mean? Does a variable give a name to an object, i.e. are variables just a naming mechanism for otherwise anonymous objects? Or is a variable the name itself? Or is a variable a named object in the sense that every variable is also an object? Or is a variable just a "proxy" with a name that "delegates" all operations to the real object? To confuse things further, many C++ books seem to treat variables and objects as synonyms. What is your take on this?

• Starting jetty with spring xml as a background process/thread

  My goal is to set up a jetty test server and inject a custom servlet to test some REST classes in my project. I was able to launch the server with spring xml and run tests against that server. The issue I'm having is sometimes after the server started, the process stopped at the point before running the tests. It seems jetty didn't go to background. It works every time on my computer. But when I deployed to my CI server, it doesn't work. It also doesn't work when I'm on VPN. (Strange.) The server should be completed initialized as when the tests stuck, I was able to access the server using a browser.
