Web development will be much smoother with VisualStudio 2010 specially if you are JavaScript, JQuery, or AJAX lover. I am really impressed with these few features added to VisualStudio 2010.
I have the Zend Studio, which is a PHP editor based on Eclipse. I want to use it now to develop some Java. I think Zend has disabled all the Java centric project/views/perspectives that come with Eclipse (or may be not included the right plugins?)
What steps should I take to use it, instead of having two Eclipse instances open at the same time.

When you interrupt the work on some code (be it because you have to work on something else or go on vacation or simply because it is the end of the day), once you close that VisualStudio project, what is your preferred way to remember what you want to do next when you start working on that code again.
Do you set a VisualStudio bookmark or do write down something like // TODO: continue here next time? Maybe you have a special tag like // NEXT:? Do you put a sticky note on your monitor? Do you use a cool tool or VisualStudio plugin I should know?
Do you have any personal trick that helps you find the place in your code where you left off the last time you worked on your code?

currently in visualstudio you find that in MVC3 razor based project their is no way to format javascript. well no problem a great sollution is http://jsbeautifier.org/ it’s make javascript code pretty cool and better like Visualstudio do. if you have some security issue that watch out that it’s work without posting code to server by postback or ajax request. if you feel more then get the code and use them offline

Download vs_ultimate.exe from http://www.microsoft.com/visualstudio/eng/downloads

In php we use includes. So variables defined in one file and then their scope spans included files too.
Zend studio has no idea how to get the type of the variable I am using inside an included file, this is very annoying when the variable type is a big class.
Is there a way to hint the ide about variable types? in included files?

If you or your SEO consultant plan on having a successful website that is ranked high and recognized by search engines and crawlers, make sure that you review the below points to different visual extras that may be put into your website and possibly affect its rating. It's good Search Engine Optimization to have an attractive website, however, too many, and in some cases, any of these visual extras may actually hurt your website.
When Vs2010 crashes, it wants to collect information to help microsoft fix the problem, with this dialog:
Unfortunately this is kind of annoying behavior because it takes more than 5 seconds. So I was wondering how to disable crash information collection on visualstudio 2010.
Is it even possible?

I'd like to make it Ctrl-Shift-F to match VisualStudio.
I realize to do that I need to remove that binding from the Query-Save to File item.
But, I can't even add ANY shortcut. When I pull up the Tools/Customize box, pick Edit in the Categories and then Find-in-Files in the Commands, the box for "Modify Selection", where I assume I could add a shortcut, is greyed out.
Any clues?
I'm going to be installing VisualStudio 2010. I already have my source code on the SSD. For best performance, especially time to open the solution and compiling time, would it be better to install VS 2010 on the SSD or install it on the HDD.
If both were on the SSD, loading the VS 2010 files would be quicker, but there would be contention between loading the source and the program files.
Thanks!
