  • Is it a bad programming practise to have "Public" members inside an "Internal" class?

    I mean, won;t it be more specific and appropriate if i "only" keep "protected","internal" and "private" members (field,method,property,event) in a class which is declared as "internal" ? I have seen this practice ( having "public" members in an "internal" class) in various code so just wanted to know is it a bad practice or does it has some benefit or advantage. [Only concerned about C#] Thanks for your interest.

    Hi, On view in IB I have numerous items (including view itself). ONLY one item has tag 0, yet following line works for ANY UITextBox other then the one with tag 0. Note that only ONE UITextBox has tag 0, why: (UITextField *) [self.view viewWithTag:0]).text = @"foo"; Interesting that when triggered event received for the element with tag 0, I can get value of Tag 0 with no problem. Is there a limitation to look for tag 0 elements?

If I trigger it programmatically like $("#someCheckbox").click(), I get "unchecked". How to make the two behave the same way?

    Hallo everybody, i have programmed a sub procedure, that will be called in the main procedure (called by event of mainForm), to valid the inputs before the main calculation. now i'm searching for a method, how can i cancel the calculation and refocus the mainForm if some inputs mismatch. i think, it's unnecessary to use the Try-Catch statment to trap the error from calculation because i know what is its source and it should be prevented due to the code preformance. To do this though, I need to synchronize reading/writing so that a race condition is never met.     The page can be viewed at http://cistrome.org/cps/seqconfig?did=2693 When load in Firebugs, it gives me this error: TypeError: $(".open_gene").on is not a function [Break On This Error] $(".open_gene").on('change', function(event) { However, if I type in this expression in Firebug's console, it can be evaluated as a function without any problems: >>> $(".open_gene").on function() I was wondering what might be the reason to cause this issue.   • javascript: use getElementsByName for 'this'?

When I try to use this.getElementsByName I'm getting an error that the object does not support this property. I was under the impression that getElementsByName work for element objects which I thought 'this' would be considered. Anyone have any other ideas on how I can achieve this?
