    Hi, I am currently using JQuery's validation plugin for basic form validation such as required fields. I want to add functionality so that when the user types in the username field, an ajax call is triggered to check whether the username is already taken. My requirements are: Preferably integrate with JQuery Validation plugin, rather than writing a custom function I want the lookup to occur on the nkeyup event I want the lookup to be triggered approx 0.5 seconds after the keyup event has occurred.     Hi, I'm writing a custom UITabBar replacement, and I would like to know how to recreate the filter that the built-in implementation does with the UITabBarItem image - that blue shining on selected tabs and gray gradient on unselected ones. I guess it's a matter of using the source image alpha value as a mask and overlay it with a pre-made blue (or whatever color) shining image and another one grayed out, but I would like to know what is the best approach from a code point of view.   • Munin Aggregate Graphs from several servers

    I am using DNS round robin load balancing and have divided my total traffic onto multiple servers. Each server does around 300-400req/second but I am interested in having an aggregate graph telling me the TOTAL of all requests per second served by our architecture. Is there any way I can do this. Right now each graph in Munin comes as a separate graph as they depict things on one server. I am using configuration as follow which doesn't work doesnt work for me, does this configuration got errors?   • Sending from alternative addresses in Exchange

    One of the most frequent requests I get from users with Exchange, is to be able to send from one of their alternative email addresses, that is one of the addreses there account is configured with in Exchange, but that is not their primary address. Unfortuantely as far as I am aware Microsoft have not yet come up with a solution to this. I've used a number of hacks to get round this, sepearate accounts with POP3 access, Using the from field in outlook, but each have there draw back. What have you used in these situations to allow the use of these alternative addresses?

    I have been given the task of devising a custom forms manager that has a mysql backend. The problem I have now encountered after setting up all the front end, is how to process a form that is dynamic. For E.G Form one could contain 6 fields all with different name attributes in the input tag. Form two could contain 20 fields all with different name attributes in the input tag. How would i process the forms without using up oodles of resource.

  • Is it possible to make a subclass of NSObject which support subnodes in IB for iPhone project?

    I'm making a custom UI element class for iPhone. It'll cool to edit my class on Interface Builder with hierarchy. Some of my class is management class like UINavigationController, but they're not one of them, subclasses from NSObject. Of course, I can place a NSObject instance on IB, but it cannot have a child node. Is there a way to enable adding child node to subclass of NSObject?

    the urlize function from django.utils.html converts urls to clickable links. My problem is that I want to append a target="_blank" into the "< href..", so that I open this link in a new tab. Is there any way that I can extend the urlize function to receive an extra argument? or should I make a custom filter using regexes to do this stuff? Is this efficient?

Now I guess the problem is people having script tags and javascript in the editor and injecting malicious scripts and I have my validate input turned false. So can anyone suggest me a way to write a custom validation method that maybe checks for script tags and removes them...or just guide me through the steps i need to do ?...also are there other things also that I should be worried about..?

    This problem occurs over and over. I have some complicated object, such as a Cat, which has many properties, such as age, favorite cat food, and so forth. A bunch of Cats are stored in a Java Collection, and I need to find all the Cats that are aged 3, or those whose favorite cat food is Whiskas. Surely, I can write a custom method that finds those Cats with a specific property, but this gets cumbersome with many properties; is there some generic way of doing this?

Is there a way to instruct ASP.NET to serve the generated System.Drawing.Bitmap as part of it's WebResource? (therefore making it an "Embedded Resource")
