  • Jquery Dropdown queue problem

    Hello, I have created a drop down with JQuery that can be seen here by clicking the Preview button on top: http://jsbin.com/ubire3/edit It works fine except for one problem. When i hover over the main hover links (blue ones) quickly eg going horizontally quickly hovering each top menu, the some submenus don't close. How do i make it so that even if i hover fast over them all other submenus are closed? Thanks.

    i have a structure that looks like this <div class="table"> <div> <p> name1 </p> <p> title1 </p> </div> <div> <p> name2 </p> <p> title2 </p> </div> <div> <p> name3 </p> <p> title3 </p> </div> </div> and it continues a few hundred more times. what can i write in php that will search ( class="table" div ) and add a class to only the first 'p' in each 'div'?

  • Having onFocus do several things.

    So I have this input tag <input ... onFocus=...> and what I want is for a warning popup to come up if somebody clicks to write in the input field. After the person has read the warning he/she closes the popup and can continue to write in the field. I have managed to implement the popup just fine but my problem is that I lose focus on the input field when the popup comes up so the next time I click the field the popup comes back again and im back on square one. The system I work on uses php and javascript so and I cannot use anything other than that to solve the problem and my experience with both php and javascript is limited.

  • Putting li's into rows

    I have a long list of li's. <ul> <li> <img src="test.jpg"> </li> <li> <img src="test.jpg"> </li> //etc Each li has this styling: width: 10%; display: inline-block; vertical-align: middle; When I get to more than 10 li's in a row, they go on to the next row. Is this the correct way to do it? or should I wrap each 10 li's into something that breaks the line? What the best/correct method? i intialy chose this method as it would be easily to loop out data from a database.

    I have floated two divs to left and right...But the next div after those two divs does not appear correctly... When I click a user I get a popup with more detailed information about them. How would I go about printing just the popup for a user I clicked?     I have a div which I am using as a footer to display some content. I have put the style as: .pageFooter{ position:absolute; bottom:0px; width:100%; height:25px; background:#e6e6e6; } This style works well when there is not content in the body of page. But when I populate the page with content, say datagrid, the div is overlaps data in datagrid. What changes should I make to the style to let the div be at the bottom always. I am using IE* to view the pages.

  • another file_exists with special chars problem

    I have some folders with special characters in their names. I run currently at a test-computer with Windows OS, but later I will use LINUX. My problem is that the folders with special chars in their names cannot be recognized somehow. ex: file_exists('../Bilar/27733691_1.jpg') // TRUE file_exists('../Båtar/27733691_1.jpg') // FALSE because of the special char in folder name... How should I solve this? I plan to run LINUX in the future when website is online... would that matter? Please explain thoroughly because I am a newb at this Thanks

  • Stop an input field in a form from being submitted

    I'm writing some javascript that will insert some input fields into a form on a website. The thing is, I don't want those input fields to affect the form in any way, I don't want them to be submitted when the form is submitted, I only want my javascript to have access to their values. Is there some way I could add some input fields into the middle of a form and not have them submitted when the form is submitted? Obviously the ideal thing would be for the input fields to not be in the form element, but I want the layout of my resulting page to have my inserted input fields appear between elements of the original form.

    Hi, Recently I saw some code like this: <tr> <th> Some label: </th> <td> <input type="text" value=""/> </td> <th> Another label: </th> <td> <input type="text" value=""/> </td> </tr> I am used to table headers being used like <tr> <th> Some label: </th> <th> Another label: </th> </tr> <tr> <td> <input type="text" value=""/> </td> <td> <input type="text" value=""/> </td> </tr> How are table headers supposed to be used? The first example above, lead me to some pretty funky formatting issues, and it seems like in example 1 <label> should be used in place of <th>.

Do you have some ideas?
