    I sync data between my local DB and a Server. I'm looking for the cleanest way to modelise all of this. I have a com.something.db package That contains a Data Helper and couple of DAO classes that represents objects stored in the db (I didn't write that part) com.something.db --public DataHelper --public Employee @DatabaseField e.g. "name" will be an actual column name in the DB -name @DatabaseField -salary etc... (all in all 50 fields) I have a com.something.sync package That contains all the implementation detail on how to send data to the server. It boils down to a ConnectionManager that is fed by different classes that implements a 'Request' interface com.something.sync --public interface ConnectionManager --package ConnectionManagerImpl --public interface Request --package LoginRequest --package GetEmployeesRequest My issue is, at some point in the sync process, I have to JSONise and de-JSONise my data (E.g. the Employee class). But I really don't feel like having the same Employee class be responsible for both his JSONisation and his actual representation inside the local database. It really doesn't feel right, because I carefully decoupled the rest, I am only stuck on this JSON thing. What should I do ? Should I write 3 Employee classes ? EmployeeDB @DatabaseField e.g. "name" will be an actual column name in the DB -name @DatabaseField -salary -etc... 50 fields EmployeeInterface -getName -getSalary -etc... 50 fields EmployeeJSON -JSON_KEY_NAME = "name" The JSON key happens to be the same as the table name, but it isn't requirement -name -JSON_KEY_SALARY = "salary" -salary -etc... 50 fields It feels like a lot of duplicates. I’ve found a few useful things to point out: Debugging is difficult, but here are the steps (thanks to Tintin’s answer). “One way: 1) Delete your custom rules 2) Open Visual Studio (for dev), open your custom rule solution 3) Build & Deploy custom rules (a PostBuild action to copy the rules into the StyleCop folder is handy) 4) Open Visual Studio (for test) 5) Use VS (dev) and Attach to process devenv.exe (the test VS instance), set breakpoints in the rules you want to debug 6) Use VS’ (test) and right-click on project, Run StyleCop 7) Debug” ~ it worked once, now I’m having problems getting it to work again ~ I also get the message “Cannot evaluate expression because the code of the current method is optimized.” when I try to look at properties. Looking at the source code of the StyleCop.CSharp.Rules.dll that comes with the install. I used JustDecompile from Telerik. Create one xml file and name it the same as the one cs file (CodingGuildelineRules.cs and CodingGuidelinRules.xml) Deploy: 1. Build in Visual Studio 2. Close Visual Studio (Style cop is running so you can’t override your dll without closing) 3. Copy the dll from the bin to the C: \Program Files (x86)\StyleCop 4.7\ 4.     Hi All, Here's our scenario: We're running three websites on three web servers hosted on virtual machines running the following: IIS6 Win 2003 Standard Edition Oracle 10g Sitefinity 3.7 We do not have constant control over these servers and something's gone wrong in the interim in that we're getting constant 504 Gateway Timeouts. The other thing that's happening is that if you hit one of the sites, that site is trying to pull themes from one of the sites App_Themes folder in Sitefinity, which of course should not be happening at all. If someone has any ideas on why this should suddenly have started happening I would appreciate it. Many thanks

    I want to know how to change the default font that is used when inputting a particular language. I use the Khmer language frequently, and the default font installed comes from the fonts-khmeros-core package. The fonts are fine, except that there better fonts. Once I install my beloved font, how do I cause Ubuntu to use that font instead of the ones from the package? Additionally, if you remove the fonts-khmeros-core package, and have only the custom font installed, the custom font will not be used by default, even if no other Khmer fonts are installed. However, when you install that package, those fonts are immediately used by default. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Suffice to say there is now a document in place and I'm the drill sergeant, harassing people to do proper check in, and throw out those who don't.Some people suggest that in a SSIS project, it doesn't really matter if developers don't have the latest version of the project since package check in put the package in the repository, which we can pull out later.  I beg to differ because:When people don't see the package, they might start creating one because their user story require the use of the table.  So they will proceed to create a package and override whatever might already be in the repository.I didn't really see anywhere in the repository to say that which packages were for "deletion".  So I ended up restoring them all, and send the list out to developers.  Then we get into the area where we are relying on people's memory.I'd love to hear other people's experience using Subversion to manage a BI project.

  • Is implementing an interface defined in a subpackage an anti-pattern?

    Let's say I have the following: package me.my.pkg; public interface Something { /* ... couple of methods go here ... */ } and: package me.my; import me.my.pkg.Something; public class SomeClass implements Something { /* ... implementation of Something goes here ... */ /* ... some more method implementations go here too ... */ } That is, the class implementing an interface lives closer to the package hierarchy root than does the interface it implements but they both belong in the same package hierarchy. The reason for this in the particular case I have in mind is that there is a previously-existing package that groups functionality which the Something interface logically belongs to, and the logical (as in both "the one you'd expect" and "the one where it needs to go given the current architecture") implementation class exists previously and lives one level "up" from the logical placement of the interface. The implementing class does not logically belong anywhere under me.my.pkg. In my particular case, the class in question implements several interfaces, but that feels like it doesn't make any (or at least no significant) difference here. I can't decide if this is an acceptable pattern or not. Is it or is it not, and why?

Start the explorer by double click the procexp.exe 3. From the find tab click Find Handle or DLL 4.Type the your dll name and click Search 5. I can see all the processes that use my dlls at the moment, it looks like the iis , visual studio and SharePoint timer services might be the trouble. From my experience , it could be Visual studio. 6. Close visual studio and redeploy my solution, it works like charm. Re-search the dll, you can see Visual studio is not in the results.

  • How do you resolve the error "E: Unmet dependencies." ?

    I did try apt-get -f install but that didn't work either. The problem appeared after installing a modified version of libapache2-mod-wsgi. I modified the package dependencies because, as you can see from the package details link, it depends on python 3. A version of python is required but not version 3 necessarily and I didn't want to install version 3. There's bug #672901 that describes the problem. So, modifying the package dependencies worked but now that I try to install another package I get the error above. How can I get rid of it?

My previous OS installed on this machine was the Ubuntu 12.04 x64 and Skype was working great, but I got a formatation and I installed the New ubuntu 12.04.1. Something like i have the skype-bin package missing (or broken). I can't find it on Software center. I tried to install it by downloading a deb package with the skype-bin package but it ask for a lot another packages! I tried install the .deb package from the official Skype site, but I got the same error! Any Help? Sorry about my bad English, I'm Brazilian
