• Issues installing apache debian

  I'm having issues installing apache2, and pretty much everything in general, I'm using debian. I run sudo apt-get install apache2 and then it returns root@debian:~# apt-get install apache2 Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. • Do image backlinks count as backlinks?

  If i have lots of images appearing tumblr blogs, the sort of tumblogs with very little text just reams and reams of images for people to browse through (example - http://whereisthecool.com/). If my image is embeded in their site like this : <a href="http://mysite.com" target="blank"> <img src="cutecatblog.com/cat.jpg" alt="cute cat"/> </a> so the image was a link back to my site. Although there is no anchor text to speak of does google take into account the alt text of the image ? Would this still count in googles eyes as a backlink ?

• Setup DKIM (DomainKeys) for Ubuntu, Postfix and Mailman

  I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 with Postfix and Mailman. I want to set up DKIM. (DomainKeys Identified Mail, or DKIM is the successor to Yahoo's "DomainKeys". It incorporate's Cisco's Identified Mail). What are the steps for setting this up? Is opendkim recommended? The only reference I have is HowToForge, but I prefer to get help here (even if it is just a confirmation of the steps at that link). Actually, I think the info at HowToForge is outdated because it mentions dkim-filter instead of opendkim.

• Windows 7 64-bit installation from alternative media (no DVD/USB Flash drive)

  Greetings I currently have Windows 7 x86 installed on my computer. I want to install Windows 7 x64 on a different partition on my computer. However there is a little issue, I cannot run the x64 install from Windows 7 x86 which I currently have. I was planning to Install Windows 7 x64 on another partition to then boot up from that partition to install it on the partition I actually want my OS on. Once that is complete I could just format the partition from the Windows 7 x64 that I didn't need anymore. But the installer will not run from the x86 version of Windows 7 even though I do not want to upgrade that Windows directly. The reason I'm doing this in such a weird way is that my optical drive is broken and I'm really not into buying a new one since I would use it like once every year or so. I also don't have a USB Flash Drive which is big enough to hold the installation files. As far as I'm aware I cannot use an external hard drive such as this one, which I do have. Are there any alternatives in which I can install Windows 7 x64 or am I forced into buying a USB Flash Drive or new optical drive? Thank you in advance for your replies. Edit: This picture shows my current partitions on my laptop. I want to get Windows 7 x64 on the C partition but have to install it first on the F partition to then boot up the F partition windows to format C and install x64 on that one. My external drive is J. Edit 2: No alternative computer which has a DVD drive, install files are located on an iso from MA3D. To install my 32 bit version I mounted the ISO in Daemon Tools to replace my Windows Vista but since I cannot run 64 bit into my 32 bit OS this doesn't work.

• Putting (WordPress) tags in <footer> tag, good for SEO or not?

  I am using tags for my posts on my WordPress site. The content of my post is set in <article> tags, which is fine and now, I want to put the author link and tags in a <footer> tag, but I don't know if this is good for SEO reasons. I know that Googlebots are putting less weight if they see links in a footer, but will this effect my tag pages? Is there any harm? I would love to read a good explanation on this.

  I am looking in to Google Webmaster Tools - Crawl Error section. How should I handle for those URL due their system / application showed invalid URL. e.g http://www.example/images/products/s_=enlarge_16gb.jpg but, I dunno what happen to yahoo groups, it break the link into http://www.example/images/products/s_= enlarge_16gb.jpg and I only make the top part become hyperlink, which is http://www.example/images/products/s_= Because of the URL, Google show crawl error, I got few error because of this kind of result or because other people typo error. How do I prevent this. I am sure I don't have the right go and change other people post. What is the solution for this. Thanks!

• I can't figure out how to animate my loaded model with Assimp

  I have loaded in a model to my C++ OpenGL game. It is a COLLADA file type that I have loaded, and I setup an animation under blender for the file. The problem is I don't know how to animate the model. The Assimp documentation didn't really help me out. Their source code didn't use animations, and I can't seem to find anywhere online that someone explains how to animate your loaded model... I'm sorta wondering if someone could link me to a helpful website, or maybe just help me out, so that maybe I will understand how to do animations with assimp.

• How to create a fountain in UDK

  I'm trying to make a fountain in my level in UDK, I made the base of the fountain by using a Cylinder build and now I'm trying to put water in it. I went to use the fluidSurfaceActor but I notice that this is square but my fountain is a cylinder. Is there a way that I can change the shape of the fluidSurfaceActor to fit the builder brush shape or is there another way to do this? Or is it hopeless and I have to make my fountain into a cube? • Recovering a damaged microSDHC

  I just bought from eBay a Kingston 32GB microSDHC that was advertised as defective. The seller said that there could be formatting problems or with transfer of large files. Unfortunately, when I got it, it was a total mess. My Nikon camera doesn't read it at all (OK, maybe it doesn't support 32GB) My Linux laptop doesn't mount it: can't read superblock The same laptop refuses to mkfs.msdos because it failed whilst writing reserved sector The same laptop, under Windows, doesn't read nor format the card HTC HD2 mounts the MMC, allows me to write via USB, but is unable to open the just written files OK, folks, now you would say I would have to go through Paypal complaint... that's not that easy. I consciously bought a half-price card that was known to show some defects, and Paypal complaints take time. Obviously, I can't accept somebody sold me a completely use-less computer decoration. So I'll keep it as last option. My question is Do you know a way, under either Linux or Windows, to thoroughly scan, test and possibly repair memory cards, even if I have to lose some percentage of space because of bad sectors? If I can keep at least half of the card intact it would certainly be fine. I used to do broken sector marking with hard disks in the past.   Everything was working fine until this moment I want to create a new database and I'm receiving this error db_create.php: Missing parameter: new_db (FAQ 2.8) Also when I was trying to export my database I also receive the following error export.php: Missing parameter: what (FAQ 2.8) export.php: Missing parameter: export_type (FAQ 2.8) When I looked it FAQ 2.8 from the suggested link in PHPMYADMIN 2.8 I get "Missing parameters" errors, what can I do? Here are a few points to check: In config.inc.php, try to leave the $cfg['PmaAbsoluteUri'] directive empty. See also FAQ 4.7. Maybe you have a broken PHP installation or you need to upgrade your Zend Optimizer. See http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=31134. If you are using Hardened PHP with the ini directive varfilter.max_request_variables set to the default (200) or another low value, you could get this error if your table has a high number of columns. Adjust this setting accordingly. (Thanks to Klaus Dorninger for the hint). In the php.ini directive arg_separator.input, a value of ";" will cause this error. Replace it with "&;". If you are using Hardened-PHP, you might want to increase request limits. The directory specified in the php.ini directive session.save_path does not exist or is read-only. I did tried with php.ini to make sure that I've session.save_path = "/tmp" I'm using Mac Xserver and running with MAMP I did tried everything to restart my server and nothing help. • Security of logging people in automatically from another app?

  I have 2 apps. They both have accounts, and each account has users. These apps are going to share the same users and accounts and they will always be in sync. I want to be able to login automatically from one app to the other. So my solution is to generate a login_key, for example: 2sa7439e-a570-ac21-a2ao-z1qia9ca6g25 once a day. And provide a automated login link to the other app... for example if the user clicks on: https://account_name.securityhole.io/login/2sa7439e-a570-ac21-a2ao-z1qia9ca6g25/user/123 They are logged in automatically, session created. So here we have 3 things that a intruder has to get right in order to gain access; account name, login key, and the user id. Bad idea? Or should I can down the path of making one app an oauth provider? Or is there a better way?

• Error upgrading Ubuntu server from Intrepid to Jaunty

  I'm trying to upgrade an old ubuntu server from 8.10 (Intrepid) to 9.04 (Jaunty).
