  • How do I access session data in Jinja2 templates (Bottle framework on app engine)?

    Hello! I'm running the micro framework Bottle on Google App Engine. I'm using Jinja2 for my templates. And I'm using Beaker to handle the sessions. I'm still a pretty big Python newbie and am pretty stoked I got this far :) My question is how do I access the session data within the templates? I can get the session data no problem within the actual python code. And I could pass the session data each time I call a jinja template. But since I need the session data in the main menu bar of the site... that means I would have to pass it on every single page. Does anyone know if I can access it directly in the templates? For example I need the session data for my header links: Home | FAQ | Login or Home | FAQ | Logout Any help is greatly appreciated! :D

    hi guys, We have a swf file that we want to secure and make available only to authorized users. I embedded the file in an aspx page and that works fine, since ASP.NET handles the aspx page, I can use ASP.NET authorization features and in the web.config restrict the access to roles="AllowedUsers" for example. However smart users could still get to the file by accessing directly for example www.mysite/flash.swf. We want to make that kind of access secure. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  • How can I make Delphi packages (create a .bpl file)?

    I want to create *.bpl file but I am failing to do so. Specifically, I am trying to make JEDI plugins, but I have tried an empty pure Delphi package, too. If I create a new package in Delphi XE3, I get an empty unit - if I "make" this project called "Package1.bpl", I get a .dcu file in "debug/win32/", but no .bpl file. No error is reported by the compiler. An empty JEDI plugin (bpl-style) only gives a .dcu, too, while an empty dll-style JEDI plugin gives a .cdu and a .dll file in "debug/win32/". This is the first time I am tryimg to make a new package, so I am completely lost. What am I missing? Pharaoh

  • Php code not executing - dies out when trying to create an object of class - no error displayed

    I'm having some problems with this piece of code. I've included a class declaration and trying to create an object of that class but my code dies out. It doesn't seem to be an include issue as all the files are being included even the files called for inclusion within the class file itself. However the object is not created - I tried to put an echo statement in the __construct function but nothing it just doesn't run infact doesn't create the object and the code won't continue from there - plus no error is reported or displayed and I have error reporting set to E_ALL and display errors set to true WHats happening here :(

  • How can I use data binding in WPF to create a new user control for each element in a list?

    I have a list of objects. For each item in the list, I want to create a new user control bound to that item. From what I've read, doing this programmatically is bad practice with WPF (as well as less than straightforward), so I should use data binding as a solution instead. The problem is, I can't figure out how to do this. I don't know the contents of the list (just the type) at compile-time, so I can't create and bind with XAML for each element. Google and MSDN don't seem to have any answers, so maybe I'm thinking about this the wrong way? What do I need to do? Thanks

  • Is it possible to access a Silverlight control via the COM automation model?

    What I'm trying to attempt is to access methods on a Silverlight control via the COM automation model. Theoretically it should be possible, as exposing the Silverlight control's methods as scriptable members exposes them through an IDispatch interface. I have been able to access the IDispatch interface through the automation model correctly but when I attempt to call a method on the exposed interface via Invoke it crashes. I was wondering if anyone knew whether this was expected behaviour, i.e. I'm violating some basic sandboxing requirement, or whether this should work and it is just something in my implementation that needs correcting?     I am completely new to the NDK. I have done a couple of the tutorials including the hello from jni one and another one that calculates the sum of two numbers. They involved using cygwin and the ndk to create the library so file and I have a bit of a grasp on how to insert my own libraries into the libraries layer of Android. I have now been asked to access the native libraries on Android and see what I can use them for. My question is can I do this? The STABLE-APIS.txt document is a bit vague and mentions the following as Stable C++ API's in Android 1.5 cstddef new utility stl_pair.h Does that mean I can access them? If so then how do I go about it? I dont think that following the tutorials I have already done would be any help? Any pointers on how to do this or links to tutorials etc.. would be greatly appreciated

However, I do not want to spend the money to get CS4. Can I create flash movies from only Actionscript 3? Or would anyone recommend that I jump straight to air? All of the different adobe products, which do the same thing, confuse me. I just do not want to jump into it and then find out that I have to spend 900 dollars for the IDE. Table A ID Field1 Field2 Table B ID Field1 Field2 LinkTable A_ID B_ID Field_I_want_to_ignore As I understand it, if LinkTable.Field_I_want_to_ignore was not present, the Entity Model Designer would automatically create a Many to Many relationship between entity A and entity B. However, because this field exists in the database the designer won't do it for me. I can delete the Field_I_want_to_ignore from the LinkTable Entity that the designer created for me, but how do I eliminate the LinkTable entity altogether and create the many to many relationship I want? I'm not averse to digging through the XML, just at the moment I can't see how to achieve what I want.

  • Can I access Spring session-scoped beans from application-scoped beans? How?

    I'm trying to make this 2-player web game application using Spring MVC. I have session-scoped beans Player and application-scoped bean GameList, which creates and stores Game instances and passes them to Players. On player creates a game and gets its ID from GameList and other player sends ID to GameList and gets Game instance. The Game instance has its players as attributes. Problem is that each player sees only himself instead of the other one. Example of what each player sees: First player (Alice) creates a game: Creator: Alice, Joiner: Empty Second player (Bob) joins the game: Creator: Bob, Joiner: Bob First player refreshes her browser Creator: Alice, Joiner: Alice What I want them to see is Creator: Alice, Joiner: Bob. Easy way to achieve this is saving information about players instead of references to players, but the game object needs to call methods on its player objects, so this is not a solution. I think it's because of aop:scoped-proxy of session-scoped Player bean. If I understand this, the Game object has reference to proxy, which refers to Player object of current session.   • How to create a asp.net membership provider hashed password manually?

    I'm using a website as a frontend and all users are authenticated with the standard ASP.NET Membership-Provider. Passwords are saved "hashed" within a SQL-Database. Now I want to write a desktop-client with administrative functions. Among other things there should be a method to reset a users password. I can access the database with the saved membership-data, but how can I manually create the password-salt and -hash? Using the System.Web.Membership Namespace seems to be inappropriate so I need to know how to create the salt and hash of the new password manually. Experts step up! :)

    I extended the User model in django to include several other variables, such as location, and employer. Now I'm trying to create a form that has the following fields: First name (from User) Last name (from User) Location (from UserProfile, which extends User via a foreign key) Employer (also from UserProfile) I have created a modelform: from django.forms import ModelForm from django.contrib import auth from alert.userHandling.models import UserProfile class ProfileForm(ModelForm): class Meta: # model = auth.models.User # this gives me the User fields model = UserProfile # this gives me the UserProfile fields So, my question is, how can I create a ModelForm that has access to all of the fields, whether they are from the User model or the UserProfile model?     I have two customers that have the same workflow (Create file -transport file - wait for response - send response to internal team); however the implementation of each step is different for each customer. For example, one customer requires a flat file to be sent via SFTP, while the other customer requires an XML file to be sent via FTP. I'd like to create a sequential workflow, using Microsoft Workflow Foundation (WF) and reuse this workflow for multiple vendors. Each action's call to an external module can use the same interface, but a different concrete implementation. However, I'm unfamiliar with WF and I'm not sure how to implement this. Can someone point me to the proper way to use this pattern? Will it make a difference whether I choose WF 3.5 or WF 4.0? Thank you.

    I'm working on a game project. I've created an object, Star(Object). I want to assign the name of the variables, dynamically, from a text file. If I have a text file with: Sol Centauri Vega I want the program to create the Star(Object) with variable names from the text file. I want the process automated, because I'm looking to create hundreds of stars. I could write the code out by hand: Sol = Star(Sol) Centauri = Star(Centauri) Vega = Star(Vega) But isn't there a way to automate this? Essentially, what I eventually want is a tuple with the list of stars, as their own objects. Then, when I am doing game maintenance, I can just iterate over all the objects in the tuple.
