• python distutils does not include data_files

  I am new to distutils.. I am trying to include few data files along with the package.. here is my code.. from distutils.core import setup setup(name='Scrapper', version='1.0', description='Scrapper', packages=['app', 'db', 'model', 'util'], data_files=[('app', ['app/scrapper.db'])] ) The zip file created after executing python setup.py sdist does not include the scrapper.db file. I have scrapper.db file in the app directory.. thanks for the help.

• AutoScaleMode.Inherit does not inherit

  I have a user control contained in a tabpage. The Form has set AutoScaleMode = AutoScaleMode.Font and the UserControl has set AutoScaleMode.Inherit. Now when I enlarge the font size of the form then the font is enlarged in the user control too, but the controls contents are not scaled. If I explicitly set AutoScaleMode.Font on the user control then it works properly. Shouldn't AutoScaleMode.Inherit work that way?

  Questions needing answers : Does the finalizer of the client side ServicedComponent call ServicedComponent.DisposeObject or Dispose? How should destruction (release of memory) occur in the com server in realtion to its usage in the client? Basically - we are reaching a 2 gig limit on process size (memory) of the COM server as memory is not being released - is the solution to call explicitly call Dispose or use the using statement in the client?

• image not shown in dvi after latexing

  Hi, I include several images of eps format in latex. After latex command, there are some of the images missing in the dvi file. Not sure if it is related to the image size, most of the images missing have size around 83kB while those shown up have a size less than 40kB. After conversion from dvi to ps, the images are all back. Just wonder what is the reason causing the images missing in dvi file? Thanks and regards!

  hi, I am using Ajax Control Toolkit version 40412 in my asp.net 4.0 website. When I run the page in Firefox it is working good but I run the page in IE8 it is not rendering toolkit controls and putting "//" characters on the bottom of page.This is happening with every control of toolkit. • UIHint can not resolve template in abstract models

  Assume an abstract model like this: public abstract class MyClass : BaseEntity { [UIHint("File")] public long? DocumentFileId { get; set; } } The problem is Cannot resolve template 'File', while there is File.cshtml in View editor templates. The point is, if I don't define MyClass as an abstract class, error will be solved. My question is, why editor template can not resolve in abstract classes, and how can I handle it?

  I have a method, which I wish to execute on the UI message pump and thus do the following: private void SomeMethod() { BeginInvoke(new MethodInvoker(MethodToInvoke)); } private void MethodToInvoke() { // This method contains code that I wish to execute on UI message pump. } Now, the above works just fine when I create a Debug build of the project.   When I run my asp.net mvc 2 site (shared hosting) I get the following error: Method not found: 'Void System.Web.Mvc.DataAnnotationsModelValidatorProvider.set_AddImplicitRequiredAttributeForValueTypes(Boolean)'. In the bin directory I have System.Web.Mvc.dll version 2.0.50217.0 On my local dev machine it runs fine. Is it possible that if the hosting provider has a different mvc 2 version installed it would cause this error? Thank you!

• How to listen for AffectsParentArrange events when you're not the parent

  There is an attribute "AffectsParentArrange" that implicitly invalidates the parent's layout - but I want to attach an event handler to the "event" triggered by that attribute. When a child property with the attribute changes, the parent's arrangement is invalidated. I have a custom control (which is not the immediate parent) that needs to receive an event. Does anyone know of an event that can be used here? Do I need to provide a custom parent that overrides a method and fires an event?

  Please take a look at the following .htaccess ErrorDocument 404 /404/ RewriteEngine On RewriteRule (.*) index.php [L] With this setup, I am using header('HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found'); in PHP to redirect to the error handling page and send the appropriate HTTP status code. The correct 404 status code is sent, but the browser shows a blank page and the access log shows "GET /invalid-url/ HTTP/1.1" 404 - Can anyone tell me how to make ErrorDocument work with Apache URL rewrites?
