NSTableView won't begin dragging rows if the mouseDown happens within the rect of an NSButtonCell.

I currently have an odd case where I need to be able to reorder rows in an NSTableView, but the only column happens to be an NSButtonCell. I'm trying to see how I can override NSButtonCell's mouse tracking in order to get it to behave in a way so that the NSTableView will begin dragging the row, but am not having much luck. Additional info that might affect the behavior: With this NSTableView, I am not allowing any rows to be selected, but I have forced mouse tracking to always occur for all cells. This is so that the button can still be clicked even though its row can never be selected. Thanks!

Should I use DTOs as my data models in MVVM?

I'm currently working on what will be my first real foray into using MVVM and have been reading various articles on how best to implement it. My current thoughts are to use my data models effectively as data transfer objects, make them serializable and have them exist on both the client and server sides. It seems like a logical step given that both object types are really just collections of property getters and setters and another layer in between seems like complete overkill. Obviously there would be issues with INotifyPropertyChanged not working correctly on the server side as there is no ViewModel to which to communicate, but as long as we are careful about constructing our proper domain model objects from data models in the service layer and not dealing the the data models on the server side I don't think it should be a big issue. I haven't found too much info about this approach in my reading, so I would like to know if this is a pretty standard thing, is this just assumed to be the de facto way of doing MVVM in a multi-tier environment? If I've got completely the wrong idea about things then thoughts on other approaches would be appreciated too.

I have problem understanding read consistency in db(oracle). Suppose I am manger of a bank . A customer has got lock (which I dont know) and is doing some updation. Now after he has got lock I am viewing account info of the same customer and try to do some thing on it.But because of read consistency I will see data as it existed before customer got the lock. So will not that affect inputs I am getting and the decisions that I am gonna make during that period?

How to build a RESTful API?

Hi friends, The issue is this: I have a web application that runs on a PHP server. I'd like to build a REST api for it. I did some research and I figured out that REST api uses HTTP methods (GET, POST...) for certain URI's with an authentication key (not necessarily) and the information is presented back as a HTTP response with the info as XML or JSON (I'd rather JSON). My question is: 1. How do I, as the developer of the app, build those URI's? Do I need to write a PHP code at that URI? 2. How do I build the JSON objects to return as a response? I hope I was clear enough. Thanks!

Hi, I have a class, let's say User adnotated with @XmlRootElement, with some properties (name, surname etc). I use this class for REST operations, as application/xml. The client will POST User class so i want to keep the values in the log. Is there any method in jax-ws to prints out this object as xml? Problem In Java, you can add package level documentation to your project by creating a package-info.java or package.html file and storing in the package folder. How do I add equivalent documentation to my project in C# using Visual Studio 2010? Background I like to write documentation describing my motivations in the package/folder level context of the source code projects that I am working on. I have become very accustomed to this workflow in a variety of languages (specifically Java) and I believe that it is a good way to document my project.

PHP & MySQLi timeout

Whenever I try to create a mysqli object, as in; $mysqli = new mysqli(host, user, pass, table); ...the page just loads for around a minute, then stops, showing all the content of the page up until that line. info() says that MySQLi (and MySQL if that matters) are enabled, and I can access the MySQL CLI. I'm also working on a local machine, not a remote server. I feel like I've missed something obvious. Can anyone shed some light on it? Edit: just for clarification, I am actually putting real values into the mysqli constructor :)

Sending email from Drupal contact form, but GMail marks it as "Forged"

Hi, My Drupal site sends email to a GMail account, but the emails sent all go into the Spam folder, and GMail puts up a bar with the message "This message was likely forged and did not originate from your account." Although I can create a filter to prevent them going to Spam, I want to start sending newsletters, and I suspect they'll have the same problem. I suspect the problem is with the way I've set up either PHP or Drupal to send mail. As far as I know it's just using the sendmail function. I've set the from address to "info@..." where ... is the site domain. Any tips on how I can make set up my outgoing mail so it won't be refused by GMail (and presumably other major mail providers)? Hello, I am interested in writing an email sniffer that saves all emails sent via web based clients to hd, but I can't work out how to do this. How can I catch HTTPS mail before it is encrypted? I would really appriciate some useful info. I cannot find anything information on the web. There's a program called HTTP Analyzer V5 that does the exact thing I want to make. How should I start? If I make a packet sniffer, it's useless because all data is encrypted. Is there any other option?

Unable to update the snapshot view in clearcase on linux

Hi I am trying to create a new snapshot view on my machine and i am using the following procedure: creating the view using ct mkview -snapshot -tag testview -vws /home/store/testview.vws /home/view/testview here the view gets created but fails to register which i register using the ct update on this /home/view/testview location tried to change the configspec using ct edcs & but got error "cleartool: Error: Cannot get view info for current view: not a ClearCase object." explicitly modifying the config_spec using vi editor, and the updating the view ends up creating a log...but no files are copied :( Can someone please direct me as to where i am going wrong?

Python MySQLdb LOAD LOCAL INFILE problems

The problem is a simple one. When I execute the following I get different results depending on whether I run it from the MySQL console and from inside a Python Script using MySQLdb: LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE '/tmp/source.csv' INTO TABLE test FIELDS TERMINATED BY '|' IGNORE 1 LINES; Console gives the following results: Records: 35002 Deleted: 0 Skipped: 0 Warnings: 0 Python (via .info()) returns the following: Records: 34977 Deleted: 0 Skipped: 0 Warnings: 8 So in summary, same source file, same SQL request, different results. From the console I can 'SHOW WARNINGS' an get a better handle on which records are causing the problems and why but from Python I can't idenitify how to do this or more importantly what the cause of the problem could be. Any suggestions? MySQL Server '5.1.41-3ubuntu12.1' Python '2.6.5' Tables are MyISAM

iTunes Connect: Excluding iPad From Supported Devices

I have just uploaded my first app to iTunes Connect and noticed that my list of supported devices is appearing as follows... Device Requirements : Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. I've developed specifically for the iPhone and iPod Touch and have not yet done any testing on the iPad simulator. I therefore don't want the app submission testers to try running my app on an iPad and rejecting it because of some minor issue. I've looked at setting the required device capabilities in my info.plist, but that doesn't appear to allow me to restrict at a device level. Is this a by-product of building using the 3.1.3 SDK? Are apps built using this SDK automatically upscaled to work on the iPad?

Why many "normal" string in my flashlog file

I am very confused by this, I thought that the output of the flashlog.txt file should be the same as that of the consul of FlashBuilder.And I don't think I have added such a stupid trace in my code. The question is how can I find out where these "normal" trace come from and how to remove it. This problem is resolved by restarting the computer as suggested.

I am developing a product scrolling feature where products info( product image, Name, price)will be shown side by side horizontally. i need to show the image of the product and also its reflection. under the reflected image i need to show the Prod Name and its price. The problem here is i dont want to show the complete reflected image. the oputput should be something like this Image Height-100% Reflected Image Height-20% Product name Product Price The above pattern will repeat horizontally. I am able to get the desired output with some problem. The reflected image is shown up with hieght 100% and the sapce between the actual image and product name is very high. My reflected image should be a rotated image of the actual image and only half part of the actual image should be shown. Any pointers even is highly appreciated

What is the 'best' way to handle the html markup for partial views? (which are also refreshed using AJAX) The biggest issue I run into is where to place the 'container' div... Consider having a masterpage and a partial view. (class="" could be interchanged with id="" depending if the partial is guaranteed to be unique, however this isn't really important to the issue i think) Masterpage: <div id="place1" class="placeholder">  </div> Partial: <div id="partial1" class="partial">  </div> I feel that something isn't being done right. However I cannot remove the div in the masterpage, because I need that to 'encapsulate' the response from AJAX partial updates. And also I cannot move the div in the partial to the masterpage, because that would require to move 'partial' info to the masterpage... How do you handle this?

When running a test using the Tornado AsyncHTTPTestCase I'm getting a stack trace that isn't related to the test. The test is passing so this is probably happening on the test clean up? I'm using Python 2.7.2, Tornado 2.2. Hi all, I have a Silverlight 4 Business Project where I have enabled the ASP.NET Authentication/Authorization role information. I would like to pass the currently authenticated user's account information from the app.xaml.cs codebehind to a different XAML page, but I have no idea how that is done, or if it's even possible. My goal is to databind the IsEnabled property of various buttons of my target XAML page, based on whether the current user is in a particular admin related role or not. The Application_UserLoaded event handler of app.xaml.cs seems to be the safest event handler to initiate this task because it fires only after the user's account information is loaded from the server. Migrating shape sql to something equally powerful

Hi, we are currently investigating a migration of an application that doesn't meet company standards. The application is built using VB6 and Shape SQL/Access. The application has about 120 reports by storing Shape SQL strings in a database which the user can modify using a wizard. Shape sql is not allowed at this company. We have investigated plain SQL, Linq, Entity Framework as alternatives... but all result in more complex solutions. Does anyone have another suggestion? My site not directing links correctly.

I have a site at http://badassmonkeys.com/ and when i click any of the links it does not direct it to the actual page but still pulls up the link. For some reason it works perfectly on linux cpanel and actually loads the pages, but on windows in apache, or in IIS even with a rewrite mod for it, it just doesnt work. The links dont go correctly.
