• Sorting list of URLs by length in Jython

  Hi, I am writing a Jython script to sort a list of URLs. I have a list that looks like this: http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/folder3/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/folder3/|,1 The pipe and the comma separates the path from the amount of files that are under that path. Is it possible some how use Jython to order the URLs by length, so it would end up look like the below list: http://www.domain.com/folder1/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/folder3/|,1 http://www.domain.com/folder1/folder2/folder3/|,1 Hope you guys get what I mean, any help would be appreciated.   I've been trying to work out the 'best practices' way to manage file uploads with Turbogears 2 and have thus far not really found any examples. I've figured out a way to actually upload the file, but I'm not sure how reliable it us. • Defining Form Input with Dialog

  Hi. I want my php application to allow the user to select a file from their computer. I then want to store the file's path, but I don't want to upload the file. With the <input type="file" />, the file is uploaded, which would take too long. Is there a way to do this? Maybe if I change the input's type to text with jquery right before the form is sent? I could just let the user type the path, but that is not very convenient...

• How can a component at designtime determine the project directory

  Hello, I write a component which should store some information relative to the project directory. Every time a property of my component is changed it should write a file. So how can a component determine the current project directory at design time. Thanks in advance EDIT: I want to generate a delphi source file every time a property of my component is changed, so that I always get the latest version when I compile my code. Think of it as a kind of code generator. At the moment I set whole path and filename where the source should be stored but I prefer a relative path to the project (or the form/datamodule which contains my component) to make it easier to copy the project on different developer machines.

• High CPU Usage with WebGL?

  I'm checking out the nightly builds of Firefox and Chromium with support of WebGL with a few demos and tutorials and I can't help but wonder about the extremely high CPU load they cause. A simple demo like this one runs at a sustained 60% of my dual core. The large version of this one maxes out the CPU to 100% and has some visible frame loss. Chromium seems to be slightly better than firefox but not by much. I'm pretty sure that if these were desktop application the CPU load would be negligible. So what's going on here? what is it doing? Running the simple scripts of these can't be that demanding. Is it the extra layer of security or something?

• Silverlight Cannot find XML data source

  Hello.. I am very new to Silverlight development. I understand that this is client side technology therefore the paradyme is differant from that of conventional ASP.NET development. Having said that, I don't understand where my server side code is deployed. I have a silver light \ MVC application. I am trying to read an XML document from within my 'Models' folder. The following peice of code is executed from within a class that is in the same location as the XML document, 'Models'. The load() results in a SystemIOFileNotFound exception. I noticed that when building the application the XML document is not laid down in the same location as the web project's assembly. I assume this is specific to the fact that this is a Silverlight project.   I have a problem with commands in an MVVM application (I am only learning MVVM so go easy). MyClassViewModel is set to the datacontext for MainForm1, MyList is bound to UserControl1 datacontext and each item in the list is represented by UserControl2. I am trying to fire MyCommand in UserControl2 using the following: <CheckBox IsChecked="{Binding MyBool}" Command="{Binding Path=MyCommand}" CommandParameter="{Binding}"> I get the following error in the output: System.Windows.Data Error: 39 : BindingExpression path error: 'MyCommand' property not found on 'object' ''MyObject'' From this error I know that WPF is looking for the command in the object bound to the UserControl2 what I really need is for it to look for the command in the MainForm1 datacontext (MyClassViewModel). Is it possible to bubble up commands like this and if so how is it done? Is bubbling up the command a good solution?

  problem hello, I have Button (with no name), which has a MovieClip child. this movie_clip called ax_kr has XX frames, each containing one image. Now, upon loading flash or frame containg this button (actually, 43 of them), I would like to tell to each button, that in your ax_kr MovieClip, load frame YY - first one would load frame 2, second frame 3, third frame 4 etc. etc. Or is there anyway to use one generic MovieClip/Button with that ax_kr MovieClip as child with frame xy as active and two more actions? (on RollOver, another MC on stage goes to frame xy (same as ax_kr has) and on Click, another MC on stage goes to frame xy (still the same number)) I did previously in as3 and find it quite okay, but now I have to enhance old as2 application and I feel like I should just kill myself.

  I get this exception after i removed from my project the jars (pdfbox ,bouncycastle etc) and moved them to another folder but i included them in the build path ... at the first line eclipse shows this error( the constructor PDFParser(InputStream) refers to missing type InputStream) -altought FileInputStream is extended from InputStream- and i don't know why? • pager problem with drupal and taxonomy

  Ok, so this is probably a silly question, but i thought i'd put it out there anyway: I know it's a strange solution to a simple problem, but i needed to control the listing of the nodes in the taxonomy pages, which i didn't feel i got the traditional way. So i went ahead and created a module that fetches the nodes based on taxonomy (taxonomy_select_nodes()), and i wanted a pager to go along with that. The problem is that the pager prints before anything else. I suspect that it is because i call taxonomy_select_nodes before $output is returned, but i need it to get the nodes i want.   Hey all, I generate normal links like: <a href="/path/to/image"><img src="/path/to/image" /></a> in a web app. When I click on the link, it displays the picture in a new page. If you want to save the picture, then you need to right click on it and select "save as" I don't want this behaviour, I would like to have a download box popping out when I click on the link, is that possible just with html or javascript? How? If not I guess I would have to write a download.php scrit and call it into the href with the file name as parameter...? Greetings! :)

  Hi, I use the Searchable plugin with Grails I have the need to change the directory to which Compass points to, depending upon a UI choice by the user. Normally, this value is set in the compassConnection variable of the searchable map in grails-app/conf/Searchable.groovy, like so, and gets called at app startup time: searchable { compassConnection = new File( "/path/to/index/file/directory" ).absolutePath ... } To do what I need to do, I think that I need to get a handle into the compass config variable and then call config.setConnection("/new/path/to/index/dir") I don't know how I can get a reference to the config compass variable Am I right in assuming that I need to call setConnection(String) only, or is(are) there any other step(s) I need to take? Really appreciate any help that I can get, Shailen

  In my Bootstrapper.cs in GetModuleCatalog, I need to specify the Module types using the typeof(ModuleType). In the example below I'm trying to load the Contact module on demand, but in order to get it into my module catalog, I need to have a reference to it in the project that holds my Bootstrapper. When I add a reference to Contact, then the Contact.dll gets added to the initial xap file, which defeats the purpose of loading the module dynamically. Am I missing something?   Hi, I've a big GWT module which comprised of many java classes (& of course it's impossible to break it down into several modules). My GWT application consists of some forms, but the users usually work only with a few of them, anyway they should be abale to open any form as they need. Now my problem its that gwt generates a big js file that will load each time, but most of its content may never use! Is there any way to break the big js module file into several smaller files(for example, one file for each class) & gwt load them automatically as needed ?

  I just downloaded Scrapy (web crawler) on Windows 32 and have just created a new project folder using the "scrapy-ctl.py startproject dmoz" command in dos. I then proceeded to created the first spider using the command: scrapy-ctl.py genspider myspider myspdier-domain.com but it did not work and returns the error: Error running: scrapy-ctl.py genspider, Cannot find project settings module in python path: scrapy_settings. I know I have the path set right (to python26/scripts), but I am having difficulty figuring out what the problem is. I am new to both scrapy and python so there is a good possibility that I have failled to do something important. Also, I have been using eclipse with the Pydev plugin to edit the code if that might cause some problems.

• SVN: is it possible to delete a branch that was copied removed etc for good?

  I have to remove a branch from svn history for good. Normally I would use svnadmin dump /path/to/repo |svndumpfilter --drop-empty-revs --renumber-revs exclude /branches/bad_branch However this branch was not just created, but also moved and then removed and dump script fails to process downstream information with messages like: Invalid copy source path '/branches/bad_branch' So I imagine 2 ways to cope with the problem keep only last few revisions of the history and put current repository as an archive on the web make a dump up to the revision where the 'bad_branch' was created and apply the rest of the changes as a patch, therefore losing history of a few recent commits. Is there a better, cleaner way to deal with this?
