• Javascript in chrome plugin has syntax error

• iOS 6&7: Storyboard, master detail ViewController when detailViewController is dynamic

  I'm building an app for iPhone, I want to use storyboard in XCode to do a simple selection from a tableView (let's call it master table view controller with couple rows) then through navigation it goes to next page and shows a detail view for that selection. I have in my code a base class representing my detailViewController, and have 2-3 driver classes of this base class representing what I want to show in detail view controller in second page, can someone give me an idea how to set destination viewController (detailViewController) dynamically to one of my child class based on the selected row in master view controller using storyboard? Usually you assign a class to destination class in storyboard for your detail view controller with using segue, but since my destination class could be a different (child class) how you set this in storyboard? • Cocoa NSWindow not updating with data

  I have an NSWindow that shows up when you click either of two items (both from an NSTableView). I have a setter method that tells the window what information to display. This all works perfectly, until it comes time to display the data in the window. If I cause the window to display from one tableview, then try to have it display the new data from another it doesn't do it, it keeps the old data on. I am using the exact same method to get and display the data from both possible ways to have the window show up, and the data is changing correctly. To display the window I'm using [mywindow makeKeyAndOrderFront:self];

• How are exceptions allocated on the stack caught beyond their scope?

  In the following code, the stack-based variable 'ex' is thrown and caught in a function beyond the scope in which ex was declared. This seems a bit strange to me, since (AFAIK) stack-based variables cannot be used outside the scope in which they were declared (the stack is unwound). void f() { SomeKindOfException ex(...); throw ex; } void g() { try { f(); } catch (SomeKindOfException& ex) { //Handling code... } } I've added a print statement to SomeKindOfException's destructor and it shows that ex is destructed once it goes out of scope in f() but then it's caught in g() and destructed again once it goes out of scope there as well. Any help?

The problem is that I have routed blog/posts to posts. I am on blog/posts now and all the links in the Pager is showing me posts/index?page=2, page/index?page=3. • getting the Contact's Birthday of a HTC Sense phone

  I am not sure, but probably HTC Sense does the following, syncs my Facebook contacts to my phone along with their mobile number and their birthday. This shows well in the agenda and the user panel. But as it turns out it doesn't use the standard SDK way to store the birthdays.   I inherited some code that uses the priority element under the root in its xml configuraiton. This is just like the example at http://iserialized.com/log4net-for-noobs/ which shows: <root> <priority value="ALL" /> <appender-ref ref="LogFileAppender" /> <appender-ref ref="ConsoleAppender"/> </root> However, the log4net configuration examples at http://logging.apache.org/log4net/release/manual/configuration.html always show it using the level element: <root> <level value="DEBUG" /> <appender-ref ref="A1" /> </root> In this type of configuration is <priority> the same as <level> ? Can someone point me to somewhere in the docs where this is explained?

  All, I have a problem related to imageView, android. I have array which contains of 10 bitmap objects, called bm. I have a imageView, called im. Now I wanna show the bitmaps in the array in im one by one, so I did the following: new Thread(new Runnable() { public void run() { for(int j=0;j<10;j++){ im.setImageBitmap(bm[j]); } } }).start(); But the result only shows the last bitmap in the array. • AdMob ad is showing in iOS simulator, but not on iDevice

  As the heading states, I can get my AdMob Ad to show in the iOS 5.1 and 6.0 simulator just fine, however, when running my application on my iOS 5.1.1 or 6.0 devices, there is just a blank space where the ad should be served. • Most optimal order (of joins) for left join

  I have 3 tables Table1 (with 1020690 records), Table2(with 289425 records), Table 3(with 83692 records).I have something like this SELECT * FROM Table1 T1 /* OK fine select * is bad when not all columns are needed, this is just an example*/ LEFT JOIN Table2 T2 ON T1.id=T2.id LEFT JOIN Table3 T3 ON T1.id=T3.id and a query like this SELECT * FROM Table1 T1 LEFT JOIN Table3 T3 ON T1.id=T3.id LEFT JOIN Table2 T2 ON T1.id=T2.id The query plan shows me that it uses 2 Merge Join for both the joins. For the first query, the first merge is with T1 and T2 and then with T3. For the second query, the first merge is with T1 and T3 and then with T2. Both these queries take about the same time(40 seconds approx.) or sometimes Query1 takes couple of seconds longer. So my question is, does the join order matter ?

  When i upload a excel file, i have used COM() to open and automate converting it to xml. It works fine, But when i run it, it always shows the message from Microsoft Excel: A file named ''' already exists in this location. Do you want to replace it? I can choose between Yes No and Cancel. normally i would choose Yes. But i dont want users to click on Yes each time. Can i disable this? Please inform me if any relevant codes need to be posted. • Toshiba Laptop Problem - Black Screen on Startup [using Win Vista]

  Hi guys, can anyone help me on my problem? I only see black screen after the startup.. It just shows the logo and the status bar upon start, then it goes black screen with moveable cursor. I tried alt+ctrl+del, but it doesn't work. I pressed shift 5 times and it makes a sound. I already removed battery and restarted it, but still the same. I can go to safe mode and scanned thru there. Still, desktop won't show up. Don't know what else to check? Been searching the net for solutions. Please help? :(

Now I want to integrate seamless paypal where I collect the CC information and pass it to Paypal (via backend) and once everything is approved, my application shows that to the user. All this with out ever going to Paypal's website. I know that Paypal gives a bunch of sample code but they have so many different products that advertise to do the same thing. Is there any wrapper library in PHP that I can use for handling all this? What sort of design decision is involved in migrating to such system? Would I need SSL certificates for this?

  I'm using a JTree to browse the content of a folder and I want that when a user click on a file, the software shows a preview of it (a screenshot of its first page). The files are mostly Office documents and PDF. I manage to do it for PDF file using a module downloaded from Sun, but I'd like to know if there is a way to do it using any software (JARs preferably) or even the built-in Windows API. I was thinking of converting the file to PDF then do a preview of this PDF but this isn't optimal. Any ideas ?

How can I get SQL Server to return the correct counts? All fields are mandatory.

• .net - how to connect windows service with systray application

  I have a windows service that do something periodically. on user account runs systray application (written in C#) that communicate with windows service (thru .net remoting) and shows a status and some option to users. Everything works well beside that systray app uses 20-30MB of RAM ! it have to work in terminal environment, when 50 users login, only systray apps take 1GB of RAM ! and i don't have to add, that's wrong :) Is it possible to write .net systray application that will be small ? (1-2MB max?) or should I write it in c/c++? then, what kind of communication should I use between windows service (written in C#) and systray app ?

• Android MapView High Res tiles?

  I have created a simple map app that shows the local garage sales in my town. It was simple enough to create and I parse out the Google Maps (html) xml doc that the local paper uses on their google maps mashup on their website. I have noticed that the Map Tiles used in the MapView class are not as high-res as the tiles used in the real Android Google Maps app (I have a Droid). I have searched the docs and google, but I cannot find any info on this. Actually, I can't even find anyone mentioning this, which surprises me and makes me think I am missing something simple. Is this a case of Google making the APIs available, but at a lower quality, or am I missing some setting that enables higher quality map tiles?

• SQL Insert multilingual characters

  I am trying to create a table in my MS SQL database for Languages. I want to store an English name of Language and a local name of language in the database. i.e. Language, Language(local) English, English German, Deutsch Italian, Italiano Japanese, ??? ... ... I have 279 languages that I want to import, but when I import it shows '?????' for some like japanese, Russian and arabic etc The database Collation is Latin1_General_CI_AS. I would also like advise on multilingual websites; if i have a database of product descriptions and I want to have translation in multiple languages, should I go for separate databases or Can I have translation in one databse? (I prefer not to duplicate data!). Anything else to make sure users are able to write comments in different languages (char encoding on web?) and can be stored in database.
