• Build git on embedded system

  I want to build git on our embedded system and I got git's source code from here. I run ./configure tool with following arguments: ./configure --build=arm-eabi --host=`uname -p`-`uname -s`-`uname -o` Configure tool runs, and returns an error says: checking whether system succeeds to read fopen'ed directory...configure: error: in`/home/git-1.8.0.2`. I set necessary environment variables like CC and CXX to our tool chain already, so ./configure complains nothing about compilers. But I have no idea about that error message. It looks like some permission problem, but I have full permission of /home/git-1.8.0.2 for sure. Any idea ?

• WPF MVVM ComboBox SelectedItem or SelectedValue not working

  Update After a bit of investigating. What seems to be the issue is that the SelectedValue/SelectedItem is occurring before the Item source is finished loading. If I sit in a break point and weight a few seconds it works as expected. Don't know how I'm going to get around this one. End Update I have an application using in WPF using MVVM with a ComboBox. Below is the ViewModel Example. The issue I'm having is when we leave our page and migrate back the ComboBox is not selecting the current Value that is selected. View Model public class MyViewModel { private MyObject _selectedObject; private Collection<Object2> _objects; private IModel _model; public MyViewModel(IModel model) { _model = model; _objects = _model.GetObjects(); } public Collection<MyObject> Objects { get { return _objects; } private set { _objects = value; } } public MyObject SelectedObject { get { return _selectedObject; } set { _selectedObject = value; } } } For the sake of this example lets say MyObject has two properties (Text and Id). My XAML for the ComboBox looks like this. XAML <ComboBox Name="MyComboBox" Height="23" Width="auto" SelectedItem="{Binding Path=SelectedObject,Mode=TwoWay}" ItemsSource="{Binding Objects}" DisplayMemberPath="Text" SelectedValuePath="Id"> No matter which way I configure this when I come back to the page and the object is reassembled the ComboBox will not select the value. The object is returning the correct object via the get in the property though. I'm not sure if this is just an issue with the way the ComboBox and MVVM pattern works. The text box binding we are doing works correctly.

• Configuring correct port for Oozie (invoking PIG script) in Cloudera Hue

  I am new to CDH4 Oozie workflow editor. While trying to invoke a pig script from Oozie workflow editor, i am getting the following error. HadoopAccessorException: E0900: Jobtracker [mymachine:8032] not allowed, not in Oozies whitelist It looks like Oozie is submitting the job to Yarn port (8032). I want it to submit to 8021 (MR jobtracker) port. Can someone help me in identify where to set the job tracker URL or port so that oozie picks up the correct one (using Hue or Cloudera manager). Previously I tried the following but none of them helped Modfied workflow.xml file /user/hue/oozie/workspaces/../workflow.xml file. However it gets overwritten when I submit the job from workflow editor. In cloudera Manager -- oozie -- configuration --Oozie Server (advanced) -- Oozie Server Configuration Safety Valve for oozie-site.xml property I set the following- <property> <name>oozie.service.HadoopAccessorService.nameNode.whitelist</name> <value>mymachine:8020</value> oozie.service.HadoopAccessorService.jobTracker.whitelist mymachine:8021 and restarted the oozie service. 3. Tried to override 'jobTracker' property while configuring the pig task. This appears as follows in the workflow file however it doesn't take effect (or doesn't override) and still uses 8032 port. <global> <configuration> <property> <name>jobTracker</name> <value>mymachine:8021</value> </property> </configuration> </global> I am using CDH4 version. • View all ntext column text in SQL Server Management Studio for SQL CE database

  I often want to do a "quick check" of the value of a large text column in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). The maximum number of characters that SSMS will let you view, in grid results mode, is 65535. (It is even less in text results mode.) Sometimes I need to see something beyond that range. Using SQL Server 2005 databases, I often used the trick of converting it to XML, because SSMS lets you view much larger amounts of text that way: SELECT CONVERT(xml, MyCol) FROM MyTable WHERE ... But now I am using SQL CE, and there is no Xml data type. There is still a "Maximum Characters Retreived XML" value under Options; I suppose this is useful when connecting to other data sources. I know I can just get the full value by running a little console app or something, but is there a way within SSMS to see the entire ntext column value? [Edit] OK, this didn't get much attention the first time around (18 views?!). It's not a huge concern, but maybe I'm just obsessed with it. There has to be some good way around this, doesn't there? So a modest bounty is active. What I am willing to accept as answers, in order from best-to-worst: A solution that works just as easy as the XML trick in SQL CE. That is, a single function (convert, cast, etc.) that does the job. A not-too-invasive way to hack SSMS to get it to display more text in the results. An equivalent SQL query (perhaps something that creatively uses SUBSTRING and generates multiple ad-hoc columns??) to see the results. The solution should work with nvarchar and ntext columns of any length in SQL CE from SSMS. Any ideas?

  Hi, It seems that the default ASP.NET MVC2 Html helper generates duplicate HTML IDs when using code like this (EditorTemplates/UserType.ascx): <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<UserType>" %> <%: Html.RadioButton("", UserType.Primary, Model == UserType.Primary) %> <%: Html.RadioButton("", UserType.Standard, Model == UserType.Standard) %> <%: Html.RadioButton("", UserType.ReadOnly, Model == UserType.ReadOnly) %> The HTML it produces is: <input checked="checked" id="UserType" name="UserType" type="radio" value="Primary" /> <input id="UserType" name="UserType" type="radio" value="Standard" /> <input id="UserType" name="UserType" type="radio" value="ReadOnly" /> That clearly shows a problem. So I must be misusing the Helper or something. I can manually specify the id as html attribute but then I cannot guarantee it will be unique. So the question is how to make sure that the IDs generated by RadioButton helper are unique for each value and still preserve the conventions for generating those IDs (so nested models are respected?   Hello, After searching via Google and coming up empty, I decided to ask the gurus here on StackOverflow. I am trying to update entries in a ConcurrentDictionary something like this: class Class1 { public int Counter { get; set; } } class Test { private ConcurrentDictionary<int, Class1> dict = new ConcurrentDictionary<int, Class1>(); public void TestIt() { foreach (var foo in dict) { foo.Value.Counter = foo.Value.Counter + 1; // Simplified example } } } Essentially I need to iterate over the dictionary and update a field on each Value. I understand from the documentation that I need to avoid using the Value property. Instead I think I need to use TryUpdate except that I don’t want to replace my whole object. Instead, I want to update a field on the object. After reading this: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/pfxteam/archive/2010/01/08/9945809.aspx Perhaps I need to use AddOrUpdate and simply do nothing in the add delegate.   Hello, I have a WPF Application where I am trying to make a close button like image. I am trying to draw a border or have a border show up on mouse over... But I cannot seem to make it work. I have tried like 6 different methods of doing so...Images, borders with images, brushes, ect. • Making flexible C# code in MVC2 for Stored Procedures

  Thanks to Darin Dimitrov's suggestion I got a big step further in understanding good MVC code, but I'm having some problems making it flexible. I implemented Darin's suggested solution, and it works perfectly for single controllers. However I'm having some trouble implementing it with some flexibility. What I'm looking for is this; To be able to make dynamic column names in json Instead of using "Column1: 'value', ..." and "Column2: 'value', ..." inside the json, I'd like to use for example "id: 'value', ..." and "place: 'value' ..." for one stored procedure, and "animal" and "type" in another (inside the json format). To be able to make dynamic amounts of columns dependent on which stored procedure is called Some stored procedures I'll want to read more than 2 rows from, is there a smart way of accomplishing that? To be able to make numeric (floats and integers) rows from the database be presented inside the json without quotes Like this (name and age); { Column1: "John", Column2: 53 }, I would be very grateful for any feedback and suggestions / code examples I can get here. Even imperfect ones.

  I've a created a simple scrollviewer (pnlDayScroller) and want to have a separate horizontal scrollbar (associated scroller) to do the horizontal scrolling. All works with the below code accept I need to bind the visibility of the associated scroller. I can't simply bind this to the visibility property of the horizontal template part of the scroll viewer as I've set this to be always hidden. • error_log php.ini setting has no effect on IIS 7/FastCGI/Win7/PHP5.3.2

  I have a very strange problem with PHP 5.3.2 running on IIS 7 on a fresh Windows 7 installation. Changing the error_log configuration options in the php.ini does not seem to have any effect. I cannot change the option to point to anything other than the default location. Here is a portion of my php.ini file and the output from phpinfo() before and after changing some configuration options. Everything else seems to have taken effect except the error_log option. I have noticed that the fastcgi.logging option also appears to be stuck. A previous setup with PHP 5.3.2 on Win XP and IIS 5.5 exhibited no problems. • WPF zoom canvas and maintain scroll position

  I have a Canvas element, contained within a ScrollViewer, which I'm zooming using ScaleTransform. However, I want to be able to keep the scroll position of the viewer focused on the same part of the canvas after the zoom operation has finished. Currently when I zoom the canvas the scroll position of the viewer stays where it was and the place the user was viewing is lost. I'm still learning WPF, and I've been going backwards and forwards a bit on this, but I can't figure out a nice XAML based way to accomplish what I want. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated and would aid me in my learning process. • Hibernate criteria query to match against all child collection elements

  Hi, This question is very similar to link text but the responses were minimal to that question. I have a parent class with a Set of child entities. The child entities are just a wrapper for a string and live in a different table to the parent entity. I want to have a criteria query that returns the parent entities when all the members of the set of child entities return true to a condition. This condition is matching against one of a list of strings. Here's where I am: Criteria c = criteria(); Criteria ands = c.createCriteria("ands"); Disjunction dis = Restrictions.disjunction(); for (String value : values) { dis.add(Restrictions.like("value", "%" + value + "%")); } ands.add(dis); return list(c); "ands" is the set of entities with a "value" field that is a string. "criteria()" creates a criteria for the parent class. "list()" just calls criteria.list(); This is just matching against any of the elements, rather than all. Hope this makes sense. Any help much appreciated.

• SSRS 2008: is it possible to make a report parameter NOT query-based for some linked report?

  I suspect the answer is no, but here goes.. I'm using the WebForms Report Viewer on a public-facing website to allow users to report on themselves or their users (if the user is an admin user). A report has a parameter called Users where an admin can pick a user from the list and generate a report from it. Mundane users can also view this report, but I programmatically create a linked report for each user and set the UserID value to their ID so they can only view themselves. This works well except that the UserID parameter is query-based, and not every user is visible in the list using default settings (the user list is based off date range parameters can provide, and only users we consider 'active' during the date range are visible). This is blowing up for mundane users that are not active for the default date range (which is the previous month). I suspect the flow of execution is something like this: Report loads with default parameters The linked report rules are now applied and the value of the UserID is overridden with the ID in the linked report UserID field is now hidden to prevent the user from changing it SSRS can't find the UserID default value in the query results (that I didn't even want it to run) so it displays an error The 'UserID' parameter is missing a value Through some testing I've found a perfect correlation between users not inside the default date range and users who can't view the report. Can anyone suggest a way to make the report usable for those users that aren't in the default list? The reports are created programmatically so I do have a fair bit of control over the situation. I would love to simply be able to mark a parameter in a linked report as no longer being query-based, but those properties are all read-only. I really, really don't want to have to create duplicate reports to accommodate these users but I'm at a bit of a loss right now. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
