• Magento - how to create different prices for different sizes of a products?

  Hi, I am trying to set different prices for different sizes of a few products I have in my store. I am not really sure how to do that propely. The problem is that I already have the regular size defined as a simple product. Now, I want to add a smaller size as well, that can be chosen from the same product page, and I need to set the weight of the smaller size, so postage is calculated properly. Any suggestions? • 4 table query / join. getting duplicate rows

  So I have written a query that will grab an order (this is for an ecommerce type site), and from that order id it will get all order items (ecom_order_items), print options (c_print_options) and images (images). The eoi_p_id is currently a foreign key from the images table. This works fine and the query is: SELECT eoi_parentid, eoi_p_id, eoi_po_id, eoi_quantity, i_id, i_parentid, po_name, po_price FROM ecom_order_items, images, c_print_options WHERE eoi_parentid = '1' AND i_id = eoi_p_id AND po_id = eoi_po_id; The above would grab all the stuff I need for order #1 Now to complicate things I added an extra table (ecom_products), which needs to act in a similar way to the images table. The eoi_p_id can also point at a foreign key in this table too. I have added an extra field 'eoi_type' which will either have the value 'image', or 'product'. Now items in the order could be made up of a mix of items from images or ecom_products. Whatever I try it either ends up with too many records, wont actually output any with eoi_type = 'product', and just generally wont work. Any ideas on how to achieve what I am after? Can provide SQL samples if needed? SELECT eoi_id, eoi_parentid, eoi_p_id, eoi_po_id, eoi_po_id_2, eoi_quantity, eoi_type, i_id, i_parentid, po_name, po_price, po_id, ep_id FROM ecom_order_items, images, c_print_options, ecom_products WHERE eoi_parentid = '9' AND i_id = eoi_p_id AND po_id = eoi_po_id The above outputs duplicate rows and doesnt work as expected. • Svn: how to remove all deleted files from repository ?

  I have a script in which I add all new files before to commit my working copy to my repository with this line: svn status | grep ^\? | awk '{print $2}' | xargs svn add I now want to add a line that delete from repository all deleted files in my working copy. In other terms, I cannot specify them one by one, and I need to detect them with svn status and then automatically remove them. However the line doesn't work. svn status | grep ^\! | awk '{print $2}' | xargs svn --force delete As you can see I've replaced "?" with "!" and "add" with "--force delete" Could you tell me why it doesn't work ? ps. I know it is a risky procedure. I've already discussed all about it. thanks thanks

• Get a return value from a screen'd command

  I'm running a process in a screen (on Ubuntu 13.10, if it matters). I can execute a command within that screen with: screen -p 0 -X eval 'stuff \"$command\"\015' I'm not 100% sure what this command is doing to begin with, though it's functioning correctly. The reason behind it is I'm running a Minecraft server (still) and this screens in to the correct screen, and throws the command on the running command line. So that's good, so far. But what I'd like is to be able to run this command with a return value. So for example, if I were to run a "list" command, it'd tell me how many people and who is online, but I need to capture that output and put it somewhere. Anyone know of a way to accomplish this? I can't tell the minecraft server command line to redirect the output somewhere else since it doesn't have direct command line access, so the only way I could do this would be to grab all output of the screen while I'm connected ... but I'm not sure if that's possible.

  Hi all, I'm having a problem with getting a Ruby string substitution going. I'm writing a preprocessor for a limited language that I'm using, that doesn't natively support arrays, so I'm hacking in my own. I have a line: x[0] = x[1] & x[1] = x[2] I want to replace each instance with a reformatted version: x__0 = x__1 & x__1 = x__2 The line may include square brackets elsewhere. I've got a regex that will match the array use: array_usage = /(\w+)\[(\d+)\]/ but I can't figure out the Ruby construct to replace each instance one by one. I can't use .gsub() because that will match every instance on the line, and replace every array declaration with whatever the first one was. .scan() complains that the string is being modified if you try and use scan with a .sub()! inside a block. Any ideas would be appreciated!

• PHP exec problem with s3-put

  Hi there, I use the s3-bash-project to upload data to an S3-Bucket. My command looks like this: /mypath/s3_bash/s3-put -v -k '123456789' -s '/mypath/secret' -T '/mypath/upload/myuploadfile' '/my.bucket/mykeyname' I can run the command from the command line (Mac OS X), and it works well. Now I want to execute it from a PHP-Script: exec($command, $output); but in output, the "s3-put"-command only returns the command's help text. I log the command, and it works if I c&p it from the log the the command line, so there not a problem. It seems that PHP does not pass all the parameters to the command line, although I run escapeshellarg() over all the parameters. I'm using a local XAMPP-Test environment, safe_mode is off. Any ideas?

I'd like to change this page where after you view a product if you click "back" on your browser it'll load the cache instead of forcing the user to search again. How can I achieve this?   I'm creating a 'similar items' link table. i have a 2 column table. both columns contains product ids. The table is showing that these items are similar. However ids in the left column are more valuable. Say i want to select similar items to product '125b'. i only want 3 similar items to 125b. If there are any instances of 125b in col1 I would prefer these to finding 125b in col2. so i need a select statement along the lines of SELECT * FROM similar_items WHERE col_1={$id} OR col_2={$id} ORDER BY column(?) LIMIT 3 i do not want to do 2 separate queries ( ie query 2 if count(query1) <3 )

• XSLT ... I can'f find a (working) find minimum value in XML and set variable

  I've search for hours and not found an example that allows for the very first position to be the lowest. I'm getting 'False' instead of the value returned .... EDIT: Oddly enough if I run a 2nd instance as MAX_Landed with ascending it returns a value just fine. If I switch the order in the XSLT the first instance will return 'False' and the 2nd will work. Hope I'm making sense .....   Hi, I want to grab the image src on a product page in a e commerce website. I'm writing this as a bookmarklet, so I'd like the code to work universally as possible. I've noticed that there are only two reoccurring factors in the product image tag among top e-commerce websites (amazon, bestbuy ect.): border=0 and 180<width&height<400. So how could I write a selector that would give me the srcof the first img element on the page with no border and width & height between 180 and 400 px? Or is there a better way of doing this? P.S. since I'm trying to keep the bookmarklet as light as possible, I don't want to use any libraries (jquery, yui etc)

• Performance effect of using print statements in Python script

  I have a Python script that process a huge text file (with around 4 millon lines) and writes the data into two separate files. I have added a print statement, which outputs a string for every line for debugging. I want to know how bad it could be from the performance perspective? If it is going to very bad, I can remove the debugging line. Edit It turns out that having a print statement for every line in a file with 4 million lines is increasing the time way too much.

The attribute is 'pricing' and the tag is deposit - which I've added a text description to when adding the attribute.   I have some two nested resources, so that a Product can have many Bookings. On one page in a different controller I want to create a new booking and since it's a "general" booking I want a select menu to appear in a modal window where the user is able to pick one of the existing products and then go to the booking page. How can I do this? I have no problem setting up the modal and the "New booking" page is already there. What I need is a form that generates a list of existing products, picks the selected product id and then gets /products/:product_id/bookings/new . Any help appreciated! I realize my title does not describe my problem very good so better suggestions are highly welcome!

• Output of free -m on a Linux server

  I can see from this page here: http://www.linuxatemyram.com/ That the correct amount of free ram is on the "-/+ buffers/cache" line. The extra ram being used is for disk caching. However, I noticed that the total amount of memory used listed in "-/+ buffers/cache" line is significantly less than the sum total of the "RES" column of the processes shown in top. And AFAIK, the "RES" column is how much physical memory is being used by a process. How do you explain this discrepancy?
