• Sharepoint Document Library not receiving emails

  I have created a sharepoint document library which is email enabled. However when i send email to the designated email address from anywhere, i dont receive the email & attachment in the list. I have done some R&D and i hv found that in order to receive email from anywhere i have to expose my DNS of the sharepoint site to the outside world. Now i dont know whether it applies to the email address designated to me in the Active directory profile as well (my company domain email address). How to test that this email reception is working in the document library? I have tried sending an email from the sharepoint site and it works fine so the SMTP settings are correctly done.

• How do I hide the text links over a toggleable horizontal list with background images.

  I'm trying to create a UL/LI horizontal list with background images only, with no text link visible. The reason for this is so that when I over over a list item, the background would rollover and when I click on it the current item would toggle. basically it is a horizontal menu with background images that can be toggled; mimicking the job of a radio button. I have done it like this; <div id="options"> <ul id="list"> <li class="active"><a href="#" class="option1 active" id="link1"><span>XXXXX</span></a></li> <li><a href="#" class="option2" id="link2"><span>XXXXX</span></a></li> <li><a href="#" class="option3" id="link3"><span>XXXXX</span></a></li> </ul> </div> The CSS for option1, option2 and option3 simply define the background image. #options LI{list-style-type: none; display : inline} a.option1{ background:url('../images/option1.png') no-repeat;} a.option2{ background:url('../images/option2.png') no-repeat;} a.option3{ background:url('../images/option3.png') no-repeat;} a.option1, a.option2, a.option3{ background-position:top; display:inline; width:230px; height:40px; } And the hover & active css part simply sets the background position like so- a.option1:hover, a.option2:hover, a.option3:hover{ background-position:bottom; } a.active{ background-position:bottom !important; } This works fine, however on top of the background I get the words "XXXXX" as text links and I'm struggling to hide them. They are interfering with the hover action and preventing rollover (even if I replace XXXXX with a period or something short). I can't just remove the text from the link as it would hide the whole LI element. I have tried to use display:none; or text-indent:-999px but then the whole UI element becomes invisible. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong. Are you able to help? Thanks

• Construct A Polygon Out of Union of Many Polygons

  Supposed that I have many polygons, what is the best algorithm to construct a polygon--maybe with holes- out of the union of all those polygons? For my purpose, you can imagine each piece of a polygon as a jigsaw puzzle piece, when you complete them you will get a nice picture. But the catch is that a small portion <5% of the jigsaw is missing, and you are still require to form a picture as complete as possible; that's the polygon-- maybe with holes-- that I want to form. My naive approach is to take two polygons, union them, and take another polygon, union it with the union of the two polygons, and repeat this process until every single piece is union. Then I will run through the union polygon list and check whether there are still some polygons can be combined, and I will repeat this process until a satisfactory result is achieved. But this seems to be like an extremely naive approach. I just wonder is there any other better algorithm?

  I'm trying to repeat an animation until a certain condition is met. • Click Function on jQuery plugin only allows for single click

  I've created this simple plugin to add multiple animations on click but the problem is that once the object is clicked it can not repeat the animation by clicking again, i can't figure out why the added class is not removing itself after the click function is complete to allow it to be clicked again and repeat.. any suggestions? • WSUS - Auto-approve only "Needed" updates

  I'v looked through all the settings in the Automatic Approval menu, but it could not find anything about automatically approve only the needed updates. Because if I check, for instance, to auto-approve only the "Definition updates", it will approve any Definition updates, whether they are needed by my workstations or not. This is because I dont want my WSUS server to download and store updates that are not needed by any of my workstations. Also we are a lazy SMB, and we dont want to waste time to manually approve updates and stuff. Is this even possible ?

  Hi, I'd like to iterate through every element on an iTunes window and try to click on each element. I'd also like to write to a text file showing each element that I've clicked. The code that I wrote below isn't working. Specifically, I get the error process "iTunes" doesn’t understand the click_an_element message. Thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? I have recently come across some extremely bad (in my eyes) legacy code that lends itself to chaos (someHugeJavafile.js) which contains a lot of the logic used in many of the pages. Let's say for example that you have a Form that you need to complete. 1. Personal Details 2. Address Information 3. Little bit more about yourself You don't want to overload the person with all the fields at once, so you decide to split it up into steps. Do you create separate pages for Personal Details, Address Information and a Little bit more about yourself. Do you create controls for each and hide and show them on a postback or using some update panel? Do you use jQuery and do some checking to ensure that the person has completed the required fields for the step and show the new "section" by using .show()? How do you usually find the balance?

  I am using jQuery to load ina background image that fills the page width / height. I have looked at a few other threads on Stack that suggest its not possible as a body element defined in css, but in this scenario the BG image is being loaded in by jQuery. How would I go about adding a fade in to this code to bring the image in with a nice fadein?

  I had recently purchased a new server, and transferred all my accounts via WHM Transfer. The problem is that when WHM takes a daily backup, it outputs are message such as DBD::mysql::st execute failed: There is no such grant defined for user 'abc' on host 'myhostname' The problem is solved when I remove skip-name-resolve from my my.cnf file. Tough I dont find any differences in the speed (when I dont add it), it is often mentioned in forums that adding skip-name-resolve optimizes Mysql Performance. Does adding skip-name-resolve really help, if one has a Dedicated server?

Is there a way that I can make it start on the same line as the icon? I did try float left on the paragraph but that makes it go before the icon.
