  • Unwanted font Helvetica in PDF from Jasper

    When I create a PDF from a Jasper Report, the resulting PDF declare to use "Helvetica" font, even if it doesn't contain text. Unfortunately I cannot embed "Helvetica" font, because it is not among the Windows fonts. Based on the PDF/A rules, I need to embed all the fonts in the PDF file. How can I create from Jasper a PDF that doesn't declare to use Helvetica? Thank you in advance. Fabio

  • QWebView problem rendering embedded fonts

    Hi, I'm trying to render a web page, in QT 4.5, that uses an embedded font. Most of the time this works as expected. Unfortunately, sometimes I get really weird behaviour. The font is rendered - apparently - off-by-one. For instance the text: "By" woukd appear as "Cz" Has anyone run into this before? And - more importantly - knows how to fix this?

    Anyone know why CSS provides "color:" for text, but does not have "font-color:" or "text-color:"? Seems very counter-intuitive.. kind of like "text-decoration: bold" rather than "font-style: ". I must be new here. :o) Seriously, does anyone know why/how the w3c came up with such a wide array of CSS names like this?

Usually, this would work, as described here: {\fontencoding{T1}\fontfamily{arev} the font is temporarily changed} it doesnt though, and I think it has to do with the fact that arev is a T1 font.   • Rendering sass template from a sinatra app doesn't work. Is this due to v.1 incompatibility? Workaro

    get '/stylesheets/style.css' do header 'Content-Type' => 'text/css; charset=utf-8' sass :style end does not produce the stylesheet anymore. What would be a version 1.0 compatible way to do this? Or, troubleshooting suggestions if you think that the issue is with the code? The style.sass file is in the /views folder. Haml files from the same folder render OK. Thank you.

    Hi, Depending on the font settings (DPI and such) on the user's computers, I can have text become too big to fit in a button and moves down to the next line (wrap), so if it is a small button that says "Do xyz", it will only show "Do" unless I increase the height on the user's computer, but it looks fine on mine. Is there any way to force it to stick to original font size?

I had: \setbeamerfont{itemize/enumerate body}{size=\small} \setbeamerfont{itemize/enumerate subbody}{size=\scriptsize} \setbeamerfont{itemize/enumerate subsubbody}{size=\scriptsize} but after I included the enumitem package the font size for itemize became default, as far as I see. \usepackage{enumitem} \setlist{label=\tiny\textbullet, leftmargin=1em, labelsep=*, labelwidth=0.2em, noitemsep, labelindent=\parindent, nolistsep} I cannot find anything related in enumitem documentation.

I think it is not possible by checking the css class, as some other style may overwrite the styles of the class which has been assinged to that text.     I develop a simple mobile page; the font displayed is very samll although I set it as 33px and the screen resolution for iPhone is 320 X 480. Does anyone know why it is so small? Or the screen resolution is not 320 X 480 since it can be zoomed. Then how do I make the font to be adapted to the resolution automatically?
