  • Jquery Cycle in Drupal - onAfter effect not working.

    Im using the views slideshow module for drupal which uses the jquery cycle plugin. Here is my first simple slideshow where everything works properly: smartpeopletalkfast.co.uk/slideshow3/one Here is my 2nd slideshow: smartpeopletalkfast.co.uk/slideshow3/two Im trying to use the onAfter function. I want the next and previous buttons to be hidden when at the end of their cycle. This is demonstrated here: jquery.malsup.com/cycle/after.html The first slideshow that's working has these controls: prev: #prev1, next: #next1 The 2nd slideshow has these: prev: #prev1, next: #next1, end: onAfterr, timeout: 0 And Ive added this to the beginning of my document head. <script type="text/javascript"> function onAfterr(curr, next, opts) { var index = opts.currSlide; $('#prev1')[index == 0 ?   • Download textarea contents as a file using only Javascript (no server-side)

    I am being asked to make a "download" button that downloads the contents of a textarea on the same page as a file, with the browser's "Save As" dialog showing up. Copy/paste would do the job just fine, but it is a "requirement". Right now, I am just posting the contents of the textarea to the server, which echos them back with "Content-disposition: attachment" slapped on. Is there a way to do this with just client-side Javascript?

  • Page loading effect with jquery

    Hello all, Is there a way to use jquery (or other method) to display a loading div while page loads? I have a table that is populated using PHP/MySQL and can contain several thousand rows. This is then sorted using the tablesorter plugin for jquery. Everything works fine, however the page can sometimes take 4-5 seconds to fully load and it would be nice to display a 'loading...' message within a div which automatically disappears when whole table is loaded. I have heard of loadmask plugin for jquery - would this be suitable for my needs and if not any alternative? No AJAX calls are being made while loading this table if thats relevant.     I've just downloaded the Facebook iOS SDK and I noticed that in the sample code that comes with the SDK whenever it creates an instance of the Facebook class it does it like this: _facebook = [[[[Facebook alloc] init] autorelease] retain]; where _facebook is a member variable of the calling object (i.e. not a local variable). Can anyone explain exactly what's the point of autoreleasing and then retaining it?

    Hi guys, I know that there has been much discussion here about this topic, but none of the threads I got across helped me solve this problem. I'm hoping that mine is somewhat unique, and may actually merit a different solution. I'm instantiating an asp:Button inside a data-bound asp:GridView through template fields. Some of the buttons are supposed to call a server-side function, but for some weird reason, it doesn't. All the buttons do when you click them is fire a postback to the current page, doing nothing, effectively just reloading the page.
