  • WinForms button position - not aligned as it should

    - by Zka
    Adding some gui modifications and I want to have a button which is 10pixels away from the forms left and right border. With this code the right border of the button is around 20-30 pixel outside the form window. Why is that? How can I position my button to be exactly 10pixels away from the form borders ? int margin = 10; meny1 = new Button(); meny1.Top = 50; meny1.Left = margin; meny1.Size = new Size(this.Width - (2*margin), 30);

  • Glade 3 Standard Button Layout

    - by Peter
    Hey, I want to create a dialog using Glade 3 (or gtk and Python). In Glade 2 if you wanted to create a dialog box there was an option to set a "standard button layout" which would automatically create an Ok button and a Cancel button which return either gtk.RESPONSE_OK or gtk.REPONSE_CANCEL. This feature has not been reimplmented in Glade 3. How can I create a dialog which will have ok and cancel buttons which return the correct response? Cheers, Pete

  • Android - TimePicker selecting the button and input field

    - by teepusink
    Hi, I'm trying to modified the way TimePicker works as asked in my question here http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2580216/android-timepicker-minutes-to-15 To be able to do that I need to know if the + and - button was clicked and to disable the input field. So can I target the elements in a TimePicker? (i.e the + and - button and the input field)? Also is there anyway to determine if the + or the - button was clicked? Thanks, Tee

Does anyone know how to prevent Camera application start when the camera button is pressed?

  • How to enable commenting on the Facebook Like Button

    - by digitaldreamer
    I'm integrating the Facebook Like Button into a site. The likeing functionality is working fine except that you cannot add comments to your like after you've clicked the like button. Several sites including CNN has this working so this should be possible. The docs mention that you need to use the JavaScript SDK to get commenting to work, which I am doing; however I cannot get commenting to show up. A fuller-featured Like button is available via the XFBML tag and requires you use the new JavaScript SDK. The XFBML version allows users to add a comment to their like as it is posted back to Facebook. I cannot find details on which options are available for this more "fully-featured" XFBML like button. I'm wondering if there is a setting that I need to add, an option that I'm not passing in, or anything that I've overlooked. I am on a dev server, and I'm linking back to the live site for now. Perhaps the ContactURL and the base URL of the liked page need to be the same in order to get commenting to work? Here's how I'm embedding the facebook like button: <!-- facebook --> <div id="fb-root"></div> <script type="text/javascript"> window.fbAsyncInit = function() { FB.init({appId: 'XXXXXXXXXXXXXX', status: true, cookie: true, xfbml: true}); }; (function() { var e = document.createElement('script'); e.async = true; e.src = document.location.protocol + '//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js'; document.getElementById('fb-root').appendChild(e); }()); </script> <!-- facebook --> ... <fb:like href="example.com" layout="button_count" show_faces="false" width="100" colorscheme="dark"></fb:like>

  • How can I reprogram a USB "easy button"?

    - by Shawn Simon
    I have a USB "easy button"- is a USB cable attached to a large button. It appears as a keyboard to the computer. When I push the button, it sends the keys Start+R and then quickly types in a pre-configured URL. I am fairly certain that the company that produces these buttons sets the URL via some sort of software over USB. How could I reprogram the button myself? What sort of software would I need? Here is a link to the website: http://www.usbsmartbuttons.com/

  • Help with iphone button pressed

    - by StealthRT
    I am trying to see which button was clicked on so I can preform the correct logic. This is the code for the buttons: UIButton *button = [[UIButton alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(270, 423, 60, 60)]; [button addTarget:self action:@selector(buttonPressedAction:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside]; [button setBackgroundImage:[[UIImage imageNamed:@"refreshicon.png"] stretchableImageWithLeftCapWidth:10.0 topCapHeight:0.0] forState:UIControlStateNormal]; UIButton *button2 = [[UIButton alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0, 423, 60, 60)]; [button2 addTarget:self action:@selector(buttonPressedAction:) forControlEvents:UIControlEventTouchUpInside]; [button2 setBackgroundImage:[[UIImage imageNamed:@"login.png"] stretchableImageWithLeftCapWidth:10.0 topCapHeight:0.0] forState:UIControlStateNormal]; [self.navigationController.view addSubview:button]; [self.navigationController.view addSubview:button2]; And this is how I call the buttonPressedAction: - (void)buttonPressedAction:(id)sender { NSLog(@"%@", [sender value]); isRefreshing = TRUE; [self loadTheXML]; [self.tableView reloadData]; } But when I use NSLog to see what the sender value is, it crashes. Any advice for what's happening and how to correct it?

  • Silverlight 4 Default Button Service

    - by Mark Cooper
    For a few months I have been successfully using David Justices Default Button example in my SL 3 app. This approach is based on an attached property. After upgrading to SL4, the approach no longer works, and I get a XAML exception: "Unknown parser error: Scanner 2148474880" Has anyone succesfully used this (or any other) default button attached behaviours in SL4? Is there any other way to achieve default button behaviour in SL4 with the new classes that are available? Thanks, Mark

  • How to ellipsize center-aligned textview beside a right-aligned button when screen width is small

    - by simplymoody
    ------------------------------------ | LONG_TITL... |button| | |------------------------------------| | | I have an app header which consists of the app title and a button. The button should be fixed on the right side but I want the title to be in the middle and ellipsize when the screen is too small. Problem is the title just won't ellipsize even though the button is nearly beside it. Here's what I have so far: <RelativeLayout android:id="@+id/headr" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:gravity="center"> <ImageView android:id="@+id/bar_orange" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_alignParentTop="true" android:minHeight="40dp" android:scaleType="centerCrop" android:src="@drawable/bar_orange"/> <TextView android:id="@+id/Title" android:layout_marginLeft="20dp" android:layout_marginRight="20dp" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_centerInParent="true" android:gravity="center" android:text="@string/bcd" android:textColor="#FFFFFF" android:ellipsize="marquee" android:singleLine="true" android:textSize="18sp" android:textStyle="bold"/> <Button android:padding="5dp" android:id="@+id/home" android:textColor="#ffffff" android:layout_marginRight="10dp" android:layout_marginLeft="10dp" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_alignParentRight="true" android:layout_centerVertical="true" android:singleLine="true" android:background="@drawable/button_home" android:text="@string/home"/> </RelativeLayout> Is there a way to do this with just RelativeLayout?

  • [AS2] Button Problem

    - by Adam Kiss
    problem hello, I have Button (with no name), which has a MovieClip child. this movie_clip called ax_kr has XX frames, each containing one image. Now, upon loading flash or frame containg this button (actually, 43 of them), I would like to tell to each button, that in your ax_kr MovieClip, load frame YY - first one would load frame 2, second frame 3, third frame 4 etc. etc. Or is there anyway to use one generic MovieClip/Button with that ax_kr MovieClip as child with frame xy as active and two more actions? (on RollOver, another MC on stage goes to frame xy (same as ax_kr has) and on Click, another MC on stage goes to frame xy (still the same number)) I did previously in as3 and find it quite okay, but now I have to enhance old as2 application and I feel like I should just kill myself.

This is my code: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <RelativeLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:layout_width="match_parent" android:layout_height="match_parent" android:background="#e9e9e9" android:orientation="vertical" android:paddingBottom="@dimen/activity_vertical_margin" android:paddingLeft="@dimen/activity_horizontal_margin" android:paddingRight="@dimen/activity_horizontal_margin" android:paddingTop="@dimen/activity_vertical_margin" > <ImageView android:id="@+id/imageView1" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_centerInParent="true" android_layout_gravity= "center" android:layout_marginLeft="30dp" android:layout_marginRight="30dp" android:src="@drawable/icon_bakgrund_android"> </ImageView> <RelativeLayout android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="fill_parent" > <TableLayout xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android" android:id="@+id/TableLayout01" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_centerInParent="true" > <TableRow android:id="@+id/TableRow01" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content"> <Button android:id="@+id/button1" android:layout_width="260dp" android:layout_height="50dp" android:background="@drawable/nybutton" android:layout_below="@+id/button2" android:text="@string/las_sollefteabladet" android:textColor="#ffffff" android:layout_centerHorizontal="true"/> </TableRow> <TableRow android:id="@+id/TableRow02" android:layout_width="wrap_content" android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:adjustViewBounds="true" android:scaleType="centerCrop"> <Button android:id="@+id/button2" android:layout_width="260dp" android:layout_height="50dp" android:layout_marginTop="10dp" android:background="@drawable/nybutton" android:layout_centerInParent="true" android:text="@string/annonsorer" android:textColor="#ffffff" /> </TableRow> </TableLayout> </RelativeLayout> </RelativeLayout>

  • Android how to make button text bold when pressed or focussed

    - by stealthcopter
    I want to change the text inside a button to be bold when the button is highlighted or pressed. I currently use a xml file to define the button and use the XML to change how it looks when pressed but I would like to do this without using an image. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <selector xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android"> <item android:state_focused="true" android:state_pressed="false" android:drawable="@drawable/reset_hover" /> <item android:state_focused="true" android:state_pressed="true" android:drawable="@drawable/reset_hover" /> <item android:state_focused="false" android:state_pressed="true" android:drawable="@drawable/reset_hover" /> <item android:drawable="@drawable/reset" /> </selector> I tried using something like the following, but it doesn't seem to ever get called. final Button btn_reset = (Button) findViewById(R.id.btn_reset); btn_reset.setOnClickListener(this); btn_reset.setOn(new OnFocusChangeListener() { @Override public void onFocusChange(View v, boolean hasFocus) { if (hasFocus){btn_reset.setTypeface(null, Typeface.BOLD);} else{btn_reset.setTypeface(null, Typeface.NORMAL);} } });

  • Button control subclass: click event does not fire when using UpdatePanel

    - by nw
    Using suggestions from this thread, I created a ModernButton control that uses the HTML button tag instead of input. This control works great except when embedded within an UpdatePanel control. In this case, it does trigger the partial postback, but its click event does not fire. The control is defined thus: [ParseChildren(false)] [PersistChildren(true)] public class ModernButton : Button { private string _iconURL = ""; protected override string TagName { get { return "button"; } } protected override HtmlTextWriterTag TagKey { get { return HtmlTextWriterTag.Button; } } public new string Text { get { return ViewState["NewText"] as string; } set { ViewState["NewText"] = HttpUtility.HtmlDecode(value); } } public string IconURL { get { return this._iconURL; } set { this._iconURL = value.Trim(); } } protected override void OnPreRender(System.EventArgs e) { base.OnPreRender(e); LiteralControl textCtrl = new LiteralControl(this.Text); if (this._iconURL != "") { LiteralControl openDiv = new LiteralControl( string.Format( "<div style=\"background-image:url({0}); background-position:left center; background-repeat:no-repeat; line-height:16px; padding:3px 0 3px 22px;\">", ResolveClientUrl(this._iconURL) ) ); LiteralControl closeDiv = new LiteralControl("</div>"); Controls.AddAt(0, openDiv); Controls.Add(textCtrl); Controls.Add(closeDiv); } else { Controls.Add(textCtrl); } base.Text = UniqueID; } protected override void RenderContents(HtmlTextWriter writer) { RenderChildren(writer); } } I use it so: <asp:UpdatePanel runat="server" ID="uxSearchPanel" ChildrenAsTriggers="true" UpdateMode="Conditional"> <Triggers> <asp:AsyncPostBackTrigger ControlID="uxSearchButton" /> </Triggers> <ContentTemplate> ... <ctrl:ModernButton ID="uxSearchButton" runat="server" Text="Search" IconURL="Icons/magnifier.png" OnClick="uxSearchButton_Click"></ctrl:ModernButton> </ContentTemplate> </asp:UpdatePanel> Which renders: <div id="uxBody_uxSearchPanel"> ... <button type="submit" name="ctl00$uxBody$uxSearchButton" value="ctl00$uxBody$uxSearchButton" id="uxBody_uxSearchButton"> <div style="background-image:url(Icons/magnifier.png); background-position:left center; background-repeat:no-repeat; line-height:16px; padding:3px 0 3px 22px;">Search</div> </button> </div> The ModernButton generates a postback in every case (whether partial or full), but the server-side click event (uxSearchButton_Click) does not fire in the partial postback scenario.

  • Custom draw button using uxtheme.dll

    - by Javier De Pedro
    I have implemented my custom button inheriting from CButton and drawing it by using uxtheme.dll (DrawThemeBackground with BP_PUSHBUTTON). Everything works fine but I have two statuses (Normal and Pressed) which Hot status is the same. It means when the user places the cursor over the button it is drawn alike regardless the button status (Pressed or not). This is a bit confusing to the user and I would like to change the way the button is drawn in Pressed & Hot status. Does anybody know a way? I have also thought about custumizing the whole drawing but the buttons use gradients, borders, shadows, etc. So it is not easy to achive the same look&feel drawing everything by myself. Is there a way to find the source code of the dll or know how to do it? Thanks in advance. Javier

  • UISearchBar animation hidding button

    - by David Carvalho
    Hello I currently have a UISearchBar (attached to a UISearchDisplayController), but I reduced the width of the search bar so I could display a custom button to its right when the search bar is not selected. The button is used to access other views. However, when I select the search bar and then press cancel (or even perform a search) and return to the normal view, where the search bar should be displayed with my custom button, the search bar animates and takes up all the room for the button and the is not displayed. Essentially, the search bar takes up all the width of the screen when I only want it to take up a part of it. Is there any way to prevent the search bar from animating to the whole width of the screen? This is how I defined the CGRect of the search bar: self = [[UISearchBar alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(0.0f, 0.0f, 250.0f, 45.0f)] Any help would be great. Regards
