  • Apache mod_header rule to change all cookies to secure

    - by Supowski
I would like to change all cookies to be secure and http-only. It works fine for one cookie, but doesn't work when multiple cookies are set in response. Apache mod_header rule should change cookies from: Set-Cookie cookie1=value; Path=/somePath Set-Cookie cookie2=value; Path=/somePath to Set-Cookie cookie1=value; Path=/somePath; Secure; Http-Only Set-Cookie cookie2=value; Path=/somePath; Secure; Http-Only I use mod_headers for it with following rule: Header edit Set-Cookie ^(.*)$ $1;Secure;HttpOnly It works fine when only one cookie is set, but if there is more than one, it just removes all the following and they are not set at all. Any help how to write mod_headers rule for multiple values? or the problem is in something else?

  • Forward request through IPTables

    - by Jeremy
I have a server running CentOS with 50 IP addresses on it. I was looking to use it as a proxy server (not just HTTP), but can't find any examples on how to set up the IP Tables. I want to proxy into IP-X and have my request look like its coming from IP-X. I currently do this on squid, but we need to proxy more than just HTTP traffic. Here is an example of the squid config: acl users src 255.255.255.255 #Locked down IP address acl all src 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 # http access rules http_access deny !users http_access allow users http_reply_access deny !users http_reply_access allow users icp_access deny all #ip_addresses acl ip3 myip 10.1.1.3 tcp_outgoing_address 10.1.1.3 ip3 Do to IP restrictions I need access to IMAP, POP and SMTP through a proxy. I want to use the server I already pay for that has 50 IPs on it as the proxy server.

  • log execution of certain commands on linux

    - by jlsksr
I have to maintain a system (debian) on which several users are allowed to install programs - so I would like to log, for example, if anyone executes "apt-get install" or "apt-get purge", so I can keep track of manually installed packages.. I'm looking for a general way to achieve this; it's not just APT, but several programs/scripts etc. Any ideas? /edit a google-search with few different keywords brought up this: http://serverfault.com/questions/201221/how-to-log-every-linux-command-to-a-logserver http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15698590/how-to-capture-all-the-commands-typed-in-unix-linux-by-any-user http://sourceforge.net/projects/rootsh/

  • What kind of proxy acl rules should be applied?

    - by user42891
I try to block sites in squid based on this article. Assuming you would want to block access to Yahoo (e.g http://www.yahoo.co.jp, http://www.yahoo.com, http://www.yahoo.co.in), you would ideally want to block all of the above URLs, if I use a regular expression and try to search something called yahoo it seems to get blocked. We are just interested in applying rules which would be most commonly used across all companies (e.g. social networking sites like facebook, orkut), porn sites (e.g. sex), gaming sites (games), movie & song download sites, and sites where they can upload data (e.g. rapidshare) What would be the common set of effective rules in achieving the above?

  • Wireshark Not Displaying Packets From Other Network Devices, Even in Promisc Mode

    - by eb80
System Setup: 1. MacBook running Mountain Lion. 2. Wireshark installed and capturing packets (I have "capture all in promiscuous mode" checked) 3. I filter out all packets with my source and destination IP using the following filter ("ip.dst != 192.168.1.104 && ip.src != 192.168.1.104") 4. On the same network as the MacBook, I use an Android device (connecting via WiFi) to make HTTP requests. Expected Results: 1. Wireshark running on the MacBook sees the HTTP request from the Android device. Actual Results: 1. I only see SSDP broadcasts from 192.168.1.1 Question: What do I need to do so that Wireshark, like Firesheep, can see and use the packets (particularly HTTP) from other network devices on the same network?

  • How to use mod_proxy to let my index of Apache go to Tomcat ROOT and be able to browse my other Apache sites

    - by Dagvadorj
I am trying to use my Tomcat application (deployed at ROOT) to be viewed from Apache port 80. To do this, I used mod_proxy, since mod_jk made me try harder. I used sth like this in httpd.conf: <location http://www.example.com> Order deny, allow Allow from all PassProxy http://localhost:8080/ PassProxyReverse http://localhost:8080/ </location> <Proxy *> Order deny, allow Allow from all </Proxy> And now I can not retrieve my previous sites on Apache, which was running prior to my configuration. How can I have both running?

  • Wordpress 3 multi-site install

    - by mike
Hello, Trying to figure out if this is possible... My company has a cms product that was written in Java and we decided to use Wordpress to run blogs for our clients. Obviously, Wordpress does not run on tomcat(at least not by default) so we installed Pound(http://www.apsis.ch/pound/) on our server and have setup any Apache and Tomcat on different ports. When "/blog/" is requested, the request is directed to Apache. This works fine but we would like to use Wordpress multi site so that we can manage all the blogs from a single interface. We would also like the url for every site to be "/blog/" example: http://www.site1.com/blog/ http://www.site2.com/blog/ I'm thinking it would have to be done with apache??? Is it even possible? Thanks!

  • Nginx proxy SOAP request

    - by user2606078
looking for a right way to accomplish the following: there is an app that have URL(1) hardcoded and no way/time to change it in the source http://dev.server.com/example.com/admin/soap/action/index?pr=1 and it should use (and get response from) URL(2) http://example.com/admin/soap/action/index?pr=1 what should I configure in Nginx (apache as backup used) conf on dev.server.com in order to give that app when it asks URL(1) answer from URL(2)? On dev.server.com Apache has virtual host: dev.server.com enabled. Also I've tried to proxy in apache instead of nginx by using ProxyPass: <Directory /var/www/dev> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews AllowOverride all Order allow, deny allow from all </Directory> <Location /example.com/admin/soap> ProxyPass http://example.com/admin/soap </Location>

  • What is the technique used to make my IIS 7 serve all pages with an injected iframe

    - by Andre Carlucci
Since my previous question was closed without an answer, I'm changing it a bit and asking again. All my pages are being served with an malicious iframe injected just before the html tag. The code looks like this: <iframe src= http://117.21.247.171:700/1.htm width=0 height=0></iframe> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" dir="ltr" lang="pt-BR"> ... Firstly I thought it could be something related with wordpress, but my asp.net sites are also infected and even if I create a static html file with nothing inside, the iframe is injected. I'm using a Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard with IIS7.5 7600. Anyone knows how to do this in IIS?

  • Combine several locations with regex in nginx

    - by AlexAtNet
I dynamic number of Joomla installations in subfolders of the domain. For example: http://site/joomla_1/ http://site/joomla_2/ http://site/joomla_3/ ... Currently I have the follwing config that works: index index.php; location / { index index.php index.html index.htm; } location /joomla_1/ { try_files $uri $uri/ /joomla_1/index.php?q=$uri&$args; } location /joomla_2/ { try_files $uri $uri/ /joomla_2/index.php?q=$uri&$args; } location ~ \.php$ { fastcgi_pass unix:/var/run/php5-fpm/joomla.sock; ... } I'm trying to combine joomla_N rules in one: location ~ ^/(joomla_[^/]+)/ { try_files $uri $uri/ /$1/index.php?q=$uri&$args; } but server starts to return index.php as is (does not call the php-fpm). It looks like the nginx stops the processing of the regex rules after the first match. Is there any way to combine this rules with something like regex?

  • Setting up a domain with a dedicated server

    - by Andrew M
I have a dedicated server with a bunch of stuff on it already. Basically, I am accessing it now with the free domain I got when I purchased the server (http://example.com/directory, etc). I also have a second domain I want to use with a specific subdirectory (http://exampletwo.com/ should basically work as if I were under http://example.com/two, but it should use the exampletwo domain. I would assume I would change the A record of the second domain to the IP of the server, but how do I make it work with a subdirectory? I have full DNS control of the second domain but it is purchased on from a different registrar than the dedicated server. EDIT: It is a CentOS 5 server running Plesk/Virtuozoo.

I am working on email server, since i tried several times to create email server on ubuntu12.04LTS with postfix + dovecote + postfixadmin + courier + clamav + spamassassin. But everytime i install these packages i face new problems, like mails send to localhost users and found in users maildir. • Using nginx as a reverse proxy for tomcat results in new jsessionids for every ssl request

    - by user439407
I am using nginx as a reverse proxy for a tomcat setup, and everything works fine for the MOST part, the only issue I am having is that every request to an http address results in a new JSESSION ID being created(this doesn't happen in http), here is the relevant part of the NGINX configuration: location / { proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-For $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for; proxy_set_header Host $http_host; proxy_set_header X-Real-IP $remote_addr; proxy_set_header X-Forwarded-Proto https; proxy_redirect off; proxy_connect_timeout 240; proxy_send_timeout 240; proxy_read_timeout 240; proxy_pass http://localhost:8080; } Any idea why I am constantly genning new jsessionids?

  • How to get source with apt-get source in Ubuntu?

    - by Jonas
I need to install pure-ftpd from source and need to do apt-get source pure-ftpd but I get this message: E: You must put some 'source' URIs in your sources.list I found some documentation about this for Debian on http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/apt-howto/ch-basico.en.html#s-sources.list but what URIs should I add to sources.list for Ubuntu and if I want the source for pur-ftpd? EDIT: I found some URIs on Sources.List For Ubuntu Hardy Heron (8.04) So I added these lines to my /etc/apt/sources.list: deb-src http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ hardy main restricted universe deb-src http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ hardy-updates main restricted universe

  • Why does try_files append each path together?

    - by Tom
I'm using try_files like this: http { server { error_log /var/log/nginx debug; listen 127.0.0.1:8080; location / { index off default_type application/octet-stream; try_files /files1$uri /files2/$uri /files3$uri; } } } In the error log, it's showing this: *[error] 15077#0: 45399 rewrite or internal redirection cycle while internally redirecting to "/files1/files2/files3/path/to/my/image.png", client: 127.0.0.1, server: , request: "GET /path/to/my/image.png HTTP/1.1", host: "mydomain.com", referrer: "http://mydomain.com/folder" Can anyone tell me why nginx is looking for /files1/files2/files3/path/to/my/image.png instead of /files1/path/to/my/image.png, /files2/path/to/my/image.png and /files3/path/to/my/image.png? • Is there a more elegant way to apply conditions in nginx?

    - by Ryan Detzel
    Is there a better way to do this? I can't find a way to nest or apply boolean operators to conditions in nginx. Basically if there is a cookie set(non-anonymous user) we want to hit the server. If the cookie is not set and the file exists we want to server the file otherwise hit the server. set $test "D"; if ($http_cookie ~* "session" ) { set $test "${test}C"; } if (-f $request_filename/index.html$is_args$args) { set $test "${test}F"; } if ($test = DF){ rewrite (.*)/ $1/index.html$is_args$args? break; } if ($test = DCF){ proxy_pass http://django; break; } if ($test = DC){ proxy_pass http://django; break; } if ($test = D){ proxy_pass http://django; break; }

  • Certain websites won't load with DHCP server

    - by Simon E
Hi, I recently configured a server using Windows Server 2008 to take over from my router using DHCP Server. I disabled my router from assigning IPs too. All works well, except for certain sites that refuse to load e.g. "Firefox could not find www.amazon.co.uk" http://www.google.co.uk/ http://www.amazon.co.uk/ http://www.jobsite.co.uk/ I think it may have something to do with co.uk domain. If I reboot the server everything goes back to normal but of course thats not a good solution to do that every other day. Does anyone know of this problem or what it might be - I am very new to server technology.

  • php returns junk characters at end of everything

    - by blindJesse
php appears to be adding junk characters to the end of everything it returns on a friend's site. I'm not an admin on the server but I'd like to give an informed complaint to get this fixed. The site is http://daytoncodebreakers.org. You can see some junk at the end of every page on the site (what appear to be question marks with something else in the middle). I originally thought this was a wordpress issue, but check out http://daytoncodebreakers.org/whereisini.php (which is just a call to phpinfo), and http://daytoncodebreakers.org/hello.php (which is just 'Hello World'). I'm not sure if this is the most appropriate site, but I think this is a server config issue, so I'm posting it here (rather than stackoverflow or superuser). Feel free to move it if want.

  • Apache log lines contain "..."

    - by mtah
We have a custom log line format for Apache logs which are analyzed. CustomLog "|/usr/sbin/rotatelogs -l /mnt/var/log/apache2/access-%Y%m%d%H%M%S.log 900" "%a %{%s}t \"%r\"" However, some log lines are mysteriously shortened with "..." for some reason, but how can this be? The shortest length line discovered where this occurs is 317 chars while the longest line is way over 2000 chars. • re-direct SSL pages using header statement based on port

    - by bob's your brother
    I found this in the header.php file of a e-commerce site. Is this better done in a .htaccess file. Also what would happen to any post parameters that get caught in the header statement. // flip between secure and non-secure pages $uri = $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; // move to secure SSL pages if required if (substr($uri,1,12) == "registration") { if($_SERVER['SERVER_PORT'] != 443) { header("HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently"); header("Location: https://".$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'].$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']); exit(); } } // otherwise us regular non-SSL pages else { if($_SERVER['SERVER_PORT'] == 443) { header("HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently"); header("Location: http://".$_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'].$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']); exit(); } }

  • 502 errors with apache mod_proxy hot standby (or equivalent)

    - by 6million
Anyone knows how to configure the hot standby (+H) mod_proxy feature so that the takeover occurs immediately (without even one user receiving a 502) error during a shutdown? We aren't looking for real load-balancing, we just want a secondary server to take over while we shutdown the primary. The problem is that whenever the primary goes down, I'm able to slip one invalid request resulting in a 502 HTTP error reaching the end user, before the secondary actually takes over. Listen 80 <VirtualHost 127.0.0.1:80> ServerName domain.com ProxyPass / balancer://balance/ <Proxy balancer://balance/> BalancerMember http://primary_ip:80 BalancerMember http://secondary_ip:80 status=+H </Proxy> </VirtualHost>

  • Nginx HTTPS when only matching admin subfolder

    - by sebastyuiop
I have managed to get all /admin requests redirected to https by: server { listen 80; location /admin { rewrite ^ https://$server_name$request_uri?$args permanent; } } But can't figure out how to get all https requests that are not within /admin redirected to http, so far I have: server { listen 443; location ~ /admin { rewrite ^ http://$server_name$request_uri?$args permanent; } } EDIT: I have got the redirects working as required but can't stop the /admin url going to 404. It feels like I need to put something in the empty block. server { listen 443; location /admin { } location / { rewrite ^ http://$server_name$request_uri?$args permanent; } } Thanks
