• Mono mkbundle issue

  Hello, I am trying to bundle mono runtime with a C# a simple (console) program that does nothing, but 'hello world'. There are 3 types, first, Contact, which I defined as abstract in my EF model and the rest are Company and person types which are derived from contact type. Is it possible to perform an insert using ado.net dataservice and asp.net ajax library? I was trying the following client code : dataContext.insertEntity(person, "Contacts"); I was getting this response from server : Error processing request stream.   I'm having a problem with FlashBuilder in what is clearly a compiler bug, but I can't track it down. When my project is compiled inside FlashBuilder, I'm getting the following compiler errors: Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: [mx.binding]::IBindingClient Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: [mx.binding]::IWatcherSetup2 Type was not found or was not a compile-time constant: [mx.core]::IStateClient2 These errors are reported without a path or location. My project is a flex4 project, moderately complex. It has 6 swc projects, which are referenced within a swf project. (The swf project is the one that's reporting the error). The ANT build script compiles the project fine. The problem exists on more than 1 PC. How do I start tracking down what's causing the problem?

  Hi, I'm new to objective-c and I saw the "new type" BOOL (YES, NO). I read that this type is almost like a char. For testing I did : NSLog(@"Size of BOOL %d", sizeof(BOOL)); NSLog(@"Size of bool %d", sizeof(bool)); Good to see both display 1 (sometimes in C++ bool just an int and sizeof is 4) So I was just wondering I there were some issues with the bool type or something ? Can I just use bool (that seems to work) without loosing speed? Thanks for answers

• Bluetooth connect to a RS232 adapter in android

  Hello All, I am trying to use the Bluetooth Chat sample API app that google provides to connect to a bluetooth RS232 adapter hooked up to another device. Here is the app for reference: http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/BluetoothChat/index.html And here is the spec sheet for the RS232 connector just for reference: http://serialio.com/download/Docs/BlueSnap-guide-4.77%5FCommands.pdf Well the problem is that when I go to connect to the device with: mmSocket.connect(); (BluetoothSocket::connect()) I always get an IOException error thrown by the connect method. When I do a toString on the exception I get "Service discovery failed". My question is mostly what are the cases that would cause an IOException to get thrown in the connect method? I know those are in the source somewhere but I don't know exactly how the java layer that you write apps in and the C/C++ layer that contains the actual stacks interface. I know that it uses the bluez bluetooth stack which is written in C/C++ but not sure how that ties into the java layer which is what I would think is throwing the exception. Any help on pointing me to where I can try to dissect this issue would be incredible. Also just to note I am able to pair with the RS232 adapter just fine but I am never able to actually connect.   I have all my views in a project inheriting from a ViewBase class that inherits from UserControl. • onload Event in embedded SVG not calling function in attached script. Scope Issue?

  Hi So I've got an XHTML page with a script - not inline > <script type="text/javascript" > src="../global/js/scripts.js"></script> and an embedded (I tried embed and object, same behavior) SVG document with a onload="CheckIfLoaded(evt)" attribute. The problem is firefox doesn't call the CheckIfLoaded() function in scripts.js. Firebug gives me "CheckIfLoaded() is not defined" with no reference to any line numbers. I can't find any information regarding the scope of javascript functions with respect to embedded content. Curiously, it works fine in IE. I could of course add a reference to the script into the SVG file as well but I believe that will result in the client downloading the scripts file twice and in addition I have 1000+ svg files and I'd really rather not add one line to all of them, although I suppose I could write a batch file or whatever if I have to. • Web Site in solution where "Rebuild Solution" compile succeeds cannot launch debugger

  I have a solution that includes a Web Site (created using the web site template not the web app project template - converting isn't an option, btw). When I rebuild all, the compile succeeds, but strangely displays 3 errors, all of which are "Could not get dependencies for project reference 'PROJNAME'". When I try to launch the debugger, I get the "There were build errors." dialogue. Two questions: If I choose the 'Yes' option in the debug error dialogue to run the last successful build, will it run on the code that my Rebuild All just compiled? How do I resolve this issue? I checked this post and am disheartened by my prospects. What is strange, though, is that I added these same projects to a separate web site solution that compiled/debugged fine, removed the test web site and re-added the target website I would like to debug, and it failed in the same manner. • Python bindings for C++ code using OpenCV giving segmentation fault

  I'm trying to write a python wrapper for some C++ code that make use of OpenCV but I'm having difficulties returning the result, which is a OpenCV C++ Mat object, to the python interpreter. I've looked at OpenCV's source and found the file cv2.cpp which has conversions functions to perform conversions to and fro between PyObject* and OpenCV's Mat. I made use of those conversions functions but got a segmentation fault when I tried to use them. I basically need some suggestions/sample code/online references on how to interface python and C++ code that make use of OpenCV, specifically with the ability to return OpenCV's C++ Mat to the python interpreter or perhaps suggestions on how/where to start investigating the cause of the segmentation fault.   Hi, I am using dotnetCHARTING: the dll is installed in the GAC and referenced in my web.config (all versions appear to match). The project has a reference to the dll. web.config: <add assembly="dotnetCHARTING, Version=5.3.3540.17054, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=af2cd47db69d93bd"/> The site code compiles ok, but all aspx pages using the charting library complain that the Chart tag does not exist (warning that it might be a compile error). The aspx pages do not render the charts. Each page has a reference to the assembly: <%@ Register Assembly="dotnetCHARTING" Namespace="dotnetCHARTING" TagPrefix="dotnetCHARTING" %> Does anybody know what could be causing this? • Could not load file or assembly log4net or one of its dependencies

  I've been asked to take a look at an error in an ASP/C# application with its Paypal integration. The error, shown in full, is: Could not load file or assembly 'log4net, Version=1.2.0.30714, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b32731d11ce58905' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040) From what I understand, this means that the actual file located (that is, log4net.dll in my bin directory) does not match the version expected based on some assembly configuration. The problem I'm having is that I cannot locate where this file is being referenced. I have access to all the files in the web root directory of the site, and cannot locate any config files that reference this DLL. Where else might I need to look to determine what's causing the mis-match? As a note, I've made sure that the version of the DLL in the bin directory is up to date, but this does not seem to have resolved anything.

  Say I have a very simple java object that only has some getXXX and setXXX properties. This object is used only to handle values, basically a record or a type-safe (and performant) map. I often need to covert this object to key value pairs (either strings or type safe) or convert from key value pairs to this object. Other than reflection or manually writing code to do this conversion, what is the best way to achieve this? An example might be sending this object over jms, without using the ObjectMessage type (or converting an incoming message to the right kind of object).

• SSH into Fedora 17 will not work with new users

  I just deployed a new Fedora 17 server on the Amazon EC2. I was able to log in as ec2-user with my generated keypair, but I cannot log in under normal circumstances as a user I created. • Where can I find a description of the old British Standard structured flow charts?

  Some professional organisation defined these in, IIRC, the early 80s as similar to the more well known flow charts, but "structured". Instead of having arbitrary "goto" arrows, they had the equivalent of loops etc. They were standardized, and I vaguely remember studying them briefly at O Level. Of course they were about as useful as the well-known chocolate teapot, but I'd still like to be able to find a reference guide for them if possible - for roughly the same reason I was looking for a reference for standard Basic a while back. Google tells me - well, nothing really. They may as well never have existed. Which is probably nearly (and perhaps completely) true - I certainly never heard of them anywhere else except when I was at school. There's a chance that they may even be my computer science teachers little joke.

• ajax in zend frame work

  Hi, I am new to Zend Frame Work. I am using $ajaxContext = $this-_helper-getHelper('AjaxContext'); for adding action contexts. I have one Index.phtml page and all other views are ajax.phtml pages. I have to do some java script methods in the ajax.phtml pages. But i didn't find a way to refer the js files in the ajax.phtml pages. I have tried adding those in the controller init and index action, using $this-view-headScript()-appendFile, though i have the reference added in the page source, none of htese seems to be working on the ajax content. Then i tried to add it in the action for the ajax page, then it is not coming in the page source itself. As far as i understood, $this-view-headScript()-appendFile will append the file reference to the layout page and for the ajax.phtml pages, the layout will be disabled. Is there any way that i can refer my js files in the ajax.phtml pages?

  I was running the petclinic example that was created with spring roo, also I test booking-mvc example that comes whit spring webflow 2.0.9 and the same happens, this is when I reload the main page many times.
