• Problem when exiting search in iPhone

  Hi. I have a search display controller, and it is searching well. I'm searching in a table with several sections and I have a viewForHeaderInSection function working as it's supposed to. When I start searching, my numberOfSectionsForTableView returns 1, and I have a special view saying "Search Results" wich I use in self.searchDisplayController.searchResultsTableView. The problem happens when I select a row in my searchResultsTableView: I change the view, and when I return and try to exit the searchDisplayController (by pressing the CancelButton), the tables change nice, but changing the viewforHeader for my first section is not "pretty". I have a "kind-of-click" anymation. I would like it to not be so noticeable for the user, having a more "fluid" change. Anybody had the same problem and knows how to solve it? In a different question (which would work as a workaround): how can I hide the keyboard while searching without pressing the Cancel or Search buttons? Thanks a lot!

• Converting OpenGL coordinates to lower UIView (and UIImagePickerController)

  I am new to OpenGL on the iPhone. I am developing an iPhone app similar to a barcode reader but with an extra OpenGL layer. The bottommost layer is UIImagePickerController, then I use UIView on top and draw a rectangle at certain coordinates on the iPhone screen. So far everything is OK. Then I am trying to draw an OpenGL 3-D model in that rectangle. I am able to load a 3-D model in the iPhone based on this code here - http://iphonedevelopment.blogspot.com/2008/12/start-of-wavefront-obj-file-loader.html I am not able to transform the coordinates of the rectangle into OpenGL coordinates. Appreciate any help. Do I need to use a matrix to translate the currentPosition of the 3-D model so it is drawn within myRect?   Hello, I have created Views for Multiview dynamically . In the view control I have a Gridview control which has a checkbox control. I have a button in the main aspx page on click of which it will check(if checked or not) for all the checkbox and fetch the corresponding row from the gridview. The view is for tabbed menu. In each tab the the gridview populates the data in the runtime. Have defined the dynamic control in Page_PreInit. I'm not able to access the checkbox . How would I achieve this . Thanks

• Wordpress Custom Post Type adding tags

• TabBars and iOS 7

  I have a UITabbarController that I'm pushing another controller on top of using a UINavigationController. On iOS 6 and below, the tabBar of the parent controller slides away and the toolbar of the new view controller is presented. But on iOS 7 the tabBar doesn't animate away even if I run the code [self.navigationController setToolbarHidden:YES animated:NO]; EDIT - Okay I narrowed my problem to iOS 7 not respecting the hidesBottomBarWhenPushed property, I followed the answers in hidesBottomBarWhenPushed ignored in iOS 7 but it didn't work. The view that is pushed has a toolbar with buttons and the buttons are responding to touches, it's just that the tabBar is on top of the toolbar.

  I am making 3 board games, and I have started my coding off in one class. Now that i wanted to move around it is giving me problems. In my view class I just want to have the main frame where users can pick from the games. And in the other views, i.e the childrens of view class i want to have the interface for the actual games.   Struts 2 will resolve all property names during view rendering against the top object in the ValueStack first. But how can one access a property with the same name on the object lower on the stack? Example: Let's say I have an Action class called MyAction and it has a a logDate property. In the view rendered after this action is invoked, there's this: Now imagine a User object also has a logDate property. During the iteration, Struts 2 will always push the current user object to the top of the ValueStack effectively resolving all property names against it. But, what if I wanted to access logDate from the action? What's the correct way to do this?

• Why does my UI controls work on iPhone but not iPad?

  I have an iPhone app, which consists of a table view containing various custom UITableViewCells, with UISlider and UISwitch controls. When running the app on the iphone, I can move the slider and switches contained in each of the table cells. When I run the same app on the iPad. I can not. None of the controls within the table view will respond to touches. I have checked 'User Interaction Enabled' within the Interface Builder. Anybody got any suggestions of where I should be looking for the cause of different behavior between the iPhone and iPad, in respect to UIControls.

  I am building an application with Codeigniter and need some help with a DB query. I have a table called users with the following fields: user_id, user_name, user_password, user_email, user_role, user_manager_id In my app, I pull all records from the user table using the following: function get_clients() { $this->db->select('*'); $this->db->where('user_role', 'client'); $this->db->order_by("user_name", "Asc"); $query = $this->db->get("users"); return $query->result_array(); } This works as expected, however when I display the results in the view, I also want to display a new column called Manager which will display the managers user_name field. The user_manager_id is the id of the user from the same table. Im guessing you can create an outer join on the same table but not sure.   Hello, I have one page which uses <ui:insert> called master.xhtml which uses one managedbean named MasterBean.java and its of viewScoped. It calls webservice and has all useful data which will be useful in master.xhtml as well as page which is built using master.xhtml (which uses <ui:include>). When i visit data.xhtml (which uses template as master.xhtml) and which uses managed bean as DataBean.java which is also of view scoped, how do i use MasterBean? If i directly use #{Masterbean.property}, won't it create a new instance again? or will it use the bean which is already in view scope? Also how do i use MasterBean in DataBean in such a way that existing MasterBean's instance is used in DataBean. I don't want new instance of MasterBean in DataBean. Thanks in advance. If i am not clear please let me know.

• Rspec > testing database views

  How can database views be tested in Rspec? Every scenario is wrapped in a transaction and the data does not look like it is being persisted to the database (MySQL in my case). My view returns with an empty result set because none of the records are being persisted in the transaction. I am validating that the records are not being stored by setting a debug point in my spec and checking my data with a database client while the spec is being debugged. The only way I can think to have my view work would be if I could commit the transaction before the end of the scenario and then clear the database after the scenario is complete. Does anyone know how to accomplish this or is there a better way? Thanks

  I am working on a django / python website I have a page where I want to display a table of search results The list of results is passed in to the template as normal I also want to make this list of objects accessible to the javascript code My first solution was just create another view that returned json format. But each page load required calling the query twice. So then I tried only downloading the data using the json view and printing the table using javascript. but this is also not desirable as now the presentation layer is mixed into the javascript code. is there a way to create a javascript object from the python list as the page is rendered?

• How can I treat a sequence value like a generated key?

  Here is my situation and my constraints: I am using Java 5, JDBC, and DB2 9.5 My database table contains a BIGINT value which represents the primary key. For various reasons that are too complicated to go into here, the way I insert records into the table is by executing an insert against a VIEW; an INSTEAD OF trigger retrieves the NEXT_VAL from a SEQUENCE and performs the INSERT into the target table. I can change the triggers, but I cannot change the underlying table or the general approach of inserting through the view. I want to retrieve the sequence value from JDBC as if it were a generated key. Question: How can I get access to the value pulled from the SEQUENCE. Is there some message I can fire within DB2 to float this sequence value back to the JDBC driver?

• Drupal Views: Render Null Result for Relationship as 0

  I have a View configured in Drupal to return nodes, sorting them by their average vote in descending order. For the purpose of the View, the value of the average votes is a Relationship. I noticed that nodes with no votes are displayed after nodes with a negative average. Nodes with no votes should have an average of 0, but I believe the MySQL JOIN is causing NULL values to be returned (as there are no matching rows in the joined table, since a row is created after the first vote is cast for that item). I discovered that with MySQL it is possible to output all values that are NULL in a column as another value with IFNULL(column_name,'other value'). I feel like I would need to modify the Views module in order to obtain this functionality, but I'm hoping that there is some sort of option that returns NULL values in a relation (a relation doesn't exist for the item) as 0 instead of NULL, so that I can properly sort the nodes. The modules I am using include Views, Voting API, Vote Up/Down, and CTools. Thanks.

• (WinForm/.net) Databind List Of Classes To A DataGridView. But Not Show Certain Public Properties

  I'm not even sure if i'm doing this correctly. But basically I have a list of objects that are built out of a class. From there, I am binding the list to a datagrid view that is on a Windows Form (C#) From there, it shows all the public properties of the object, in the datagrid view. However there is some properties that i still need accessible from other parts of my application, but aren't really required to be visible in the DataGridView. So is there an attribute or something similar that I can write above the property to exclude it from being shown. P.S. Im binding at runtime. So i cannot edit the columns via the designer. P.P.S. Please no answers of just making public variables (Although if that is the only way, let me know :)).
