• Do lists of recently added, not recently updated, perl/php/python/ruby/etc. modules exist?

  For many programming languages, there are centralized sites (ex. CPAN, PEAR, PyPi, RubyGems, etc.) which list recently updated (existing plus newly added) modules, but I haven't seen any site which allows you to list only recently added/created modules. Can anybody point me to such a site/service?

• PHP Sessions data lost when changing directory?

  I've got a simple login system using PHP sessions, but just recently it seems that if you visit pages not in a certain directory (/login/) you will always be flagged as not logged in, even when you are. It seems that my session data is being lost when I change directories (say, to /login/user/). I don't think I've touched the code myself since the problem appeared, is there something my web host could have done to my PHP installation that would delete the session data, and is there a workaround?

So they input something like: Email body text including <. (say ExistingVariable is an int or something like that) Any helpful hints for how to convert this text with a ToString() at runtime?

Each of the sites' sitemap.xml files are located on the server at /sites/example.com/files though with a browser (and to search engines) it is accessible at example.com/sitemap.xml I was wondering how this was achieved? I have an application which uses Hibernate Search so I can use index() in FullTextEntityManager instance to index an object.   Hello everyone, When we met with such error message from store procedure, Message 1205, Level 13, State 52, the process Pr_FooV2, Line 9 Services (Process ID 111) and another process is deadlock in the lock | communication buffer resources, and has been chosen as the deadlock victim. Rerun the transaction. I am wondering whether such messages are stored in log files? I searched log folder of my SQL Server 2008 installation root (in my environment, it is C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Log), but can not find such files. thanks in avdance, George

• Subversion: How to make local changes to a file *never* check in, but have it sync with remote anyway?

  I have a file with local changes that should never sync back to the repository because it's for my local installation only. But if that same file is changed in the repo, I want those changes to update my local copy, anyway. At the moment, the file in question always shows up in the list of changes when I want to check-in my changes, and I have to manually exclude it from the check-in. How do I make it so that I can just update, with the above restriction in place? Thanks :)

If you were to change seq.sort(lambda x,y: cmp(x.xxx, y.xxx)), which is preferable: seq.sort(key=operator.attrgetter('xxx')) or: seq.sort(key=lambda a:a.xxx) I would also be interested in comments on the merits of making changes to existing code that works.

  I am having trouble installing the latest version of IE namely version 8.0.6001.18702. I downloaded the install from Microsoft but when the install is completed, the version number is reported as IE 8.0.6001.18702IC. This version does not work on all web applications and I need to get the correct final version installed. The problem is compounded by the installation downloading any updates from the Microsoft site so that there is no real control over the final version you get. Any ideas?
