  • Passing in defaults within window.onload?

    I now understand that the following code will not work because I'm assigning window.onload to the result of the function, not the function itself. But if I remove the parens, I suspect that I have to explicitly call a separate function to process the config before the onload. It's my understanding that another script coming after my own could, in fact, overwrite what I'd assigned to onload.

  • Trying to connect to QuickBooks via Web Connect in asp.net

    I don't know if any of you have had experience with QuickBooks integration, but I have to try :) I downloaded QuickBooks Free Simple Start, Quickbooks Web Connector and Web Service sample code ... I've read Web Connector manual and followed instructions but, when using authenticate function, I always get error "nvu", meaning that username or password are not valid. Following instructions, I added this QWC file to QBWC: <?xml version="1.0"?> <QBWCXML> <AppName>My application</AppName> <AppID></AppID> <AppURL>http://localhost/QBWC/Service1.asmx</AppURL> <AppDescription>My application web service</AppDescription> <AppSupport>http://localhost/QBWC/Service1.asmx?wsdl</AppSupport> <OwnerID>{87EDAAF8-637E-4203-867F-4BA79C2F8998}</OwnerID> <FileID>{CA1C3EB8-1B61-4747-A743-8D5B438B83AC}</FileID> <UserName>test</UserName> <QBType>QBFS</QBType> <Style>Document</Style> <AuthFlags>0xF</AuthFlags> </QBWCXML> After adding this this file to QBWC, I also added password "1234". After that, I opened my web service: http://localhost/WCWebService/WCWebService.asmx?op=authenticate and in field "strUserName" entered "test", in field "strPassword" entered: "1234". But "nvu" is always returned as a result. If someone is familiar with this I would appreciate for help!

They don't seem to be getting focused in the right order. Also it does'nt seem to be tabbing over a few text fields. thanks much.

    I used this example to create a DateTime column for a DataGridView in my winforms app. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/7tas5c80.aspx I can see the new column in the Windows Forms Designer and add it to an existing DataGridView. However, I want to be able to change the display format when I change the "DefaultCellStyle" within the designer. The designer generated code looks like this: DataGridViewCellStyle1.Format = "t" DataGridViewCellStyle1.NullValue = Nothing Me.colDate.DefaultCellStyle = DataGridViewCellStyle1 Me.colDatum.Name = "colDate" Me.colDatum.Resizable = System.Windows.Forms.DataGridViewTriState.[False] Which is fine. But since the code of the DataGridViewCalendarCell does this in the constructor: Public Sub New() Me.Style.Format = "d" End Sub The format never changes to "t" (time format). When sorting an item I would like a clone of the item I am dragging remain until I stop drop the item in its new position.   • [jQuery] Trouble loading tooltips on all images displayed inside Colorbox

    I would like to load a tooltip plugin (I'm currently trying qTip, but I've tried a few and have run into the same problem each time) inside Colorbox (http://colorpowered.com/colorbox/). Colorbox dynamically loads this code to display the images you want to show in it: <div id="cboxLoadedContent" style="display: block; width: 400px; overflow: auto; height: 498px;"> <img src="image.jpg" id="cboxPhoto" style="margin: 49px auto auto; border: medium none; display: block; float: none; cursor: pointer;"> </div> Using Colorbox's event hooks, I am currently calling my tooltip plugin on onComplete, but this only applies the tooltip to the first image in the group. If you go to the next image, the tooltip needs to be recalled as Colorbox regenerates the code displayed above. What is the best way to recall the tooltip plugin? I have tried to recall the tooltip by attaching it to clicking on the div with the id "cboxNext" as a test, but it doesn't work since it takes time for cboxPhoto to load, so I think the functions generating the tooltip load before they can apply to the image.

In the end my problem is adding the "tempProduct" object to the mutable array dataArray so that I can customize the table cells. Using the json framework im parsing out some json which returns an array of NSDictionary objects. Stepping through that my dictionary objects look good, I populate my custom object with properties for all my fields which goes through fine, and the values look right. However I cant add this to the array, I've tried several different implementations doesn't work. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. In some instances doing a po tempProduct prints the description and sometimes it does not. same with right clicking on the variable and choosing print description.   • jQuery UI Dialog adding unwanted inline styles to images

    I am using JQUery UI to for the front end of a rails app I am developing. I am using jQuery dialog windows for displaying some tabbed data and inside one of these tabs I want to render some images.   • Make fancybox jQuery plugin with results from submitting a form on same page

    I am trying to take form results that are generated from a PHP call and populate them into a div that will then appear in a light box upon click of the submit button. So far I have successfully setup the form and am populating the results on the same page into a hidden div. I can make this div appear no problem in a light box by setting up a href link but cannot make it show up by simply by clicking the submit button. I know my fancybox and jQuery calls are good but not sure where I'm going wrong on the submit button.     After upgrading to jQuery 1.4, when I try to add an image to a page dynamically using jQuery 1.4 in IE8, the image will lose the correct aspect ratio. This appears to affect only IE8 (IE7 and Firefox work fine) with jQuery 1.4 (1.3.2 works fine).   • Make Iframe to fit 100% of container's remaining height

    I want to design a web page with a banner and a iframe. I hope the iframe can fill all the remaining page height and be resized automatically as browser resizing. Is it possible to get it done without writing Javascript code, only with CSS? I tried set height:100% on iframe, the result is quite close but the iframe tried to fill the whole page height, including the 30px height of banner div element, so I got unneccessary vertical scrollbar. It's not perfect.   • Strange UIKit bug, table view row stays selected

    I'm facing what appears to be a UIKit bug, and it takes the combination of two less commonly used features to reproduce it, so please bear with me here. I have quite the common view hierarchy: UITabBarController -> UINavigationController -> UITableViewController and the table view controller pushes another table view controller onto the navigation controller's stack when a row is selected. There's absolutely nothing special or fancy in the code here. However, the second UITableViewController, the "detail view controller" if you will, does two things: It sets hidesBottomBarWhenPushed to YES in its init method, so the tab bar is hidden when this controller is pushed: - (id)initWithStyle:(UITableViewStyle)style { if(self = [super initWithStyle:style]) { self.hidesBottomBarWhenPushed = YES; } return self; } It calls setToolbarHidden:NO animated:YES and setToolbarHidden:YES animated:YES on self.navigationController in viewWillAppear: and viewWillDisappear: respectively, causing the UIToolbar provided by UINavigationController to be displayed and hidden with animations: - (void)viewWillAppear:(BOOL)animated { [super viewWillAppear:animated]; [self.navigationController setToolbarHidden:NO animated:YES]; } - (void)viewWillDisappear:(BOOL)animated { [super viewWillDisappear:animated]; [self.navigationController setToolbarHidden:YES animated:YES]; } Now, if the second UITableViewController was pushed by selecting the row at the bottom of the screen (it doesn't have to be the last row) in the first controller, this row does not automatically get deselected when the user immediately or eventually returns to the first controller. Further, the row cannot be deselected by calling deselectRowAtIndexPath:animated: on self.tableView in viewWillAppear: or viewDidAppear: in the first controller. I'm guessing this is a bug in UITableViewController's drawing code which of course only draws visible rows, but unfortunately fails to determine correctly if the bottommost row will be visible in this case. I failed to find anything on this on Google or OpenRadar, and was wondering if anyone else on SO had this problem or knew a solution/workaround.

I suspect that there is no specific api call you can make, but you may be able to figure it out by checking something on some DOM element, ie feature detection.   • Eclipse RAP - Firefox doesn't forget session

    We've got an Eclipse RAP application that's behaving a bit strangely in Firefox - two distinct problems. When you browse around, you can click on a button in one part of the system. This opens a popup window like so: IWorkbenchBrowserSupport bs; bs = PlatformUI.getWorkbench().getBrowserSupport(); int style = IWorkbenchBrowserSupport.AS_EXTERNAL; IWebBrowser b = bs.createBrowser(style, getRandomID(), "Hello world", ""); b.openURL(new URL(...)); where the URL is another servlet in the application. This servlet is in the same runtime, but has nothing to do with RAP - it takes a binary blob from in-memory storage and dumps it in the output stream. Problem 1: This causes the HTTP session to die in firefox, and shows the "session expired" RAP error page with a link to restart the session. Problem 2: Now, when you click on the link to restart the session, it shows the application's dialog again, but the session expired error is shown again the moment you do anything. This prevents the user from using the system again, unless Firefox is closed down completely and restarted. A quick peek with FireBug reveals that the JSESSIONID passed by Firefox does not change. Has anyone seen this before?

Let's name this Linux box "wiki box". Public users can't access this wiki as it is hosted on a private LAN. For external users (the Internet users) we have a Linux router (with Apache 2.0.52) where we host our website (ex: xttp://www.cubique.ro). Let's name this Linux box "router". WHAT I WANT What I want to do is: to create a virtual domain (as xttp://wiki.cubique.ro) on the "router" setup the virtual domain to forward all xttp requests to my private "wiki box" (ex: xttp://192.168.0.200/wiki_root/) WHAT I'VE DONE ALREADY On router's Apache (httpd.conf) I have created a VirtualHost as: < VirtualHost 0.0.0.0:80 ServerName wiki.cubique.ro DocumentRoot /someinternalpath/html ScriptAlias /cgi-bin /someinternalpath/cgi-bin ... Well, after I have navigate at wiki.cubique.ro I saw a blank web page, as /someinternalpath/html has an empty index.htm page. No problem, I know that I have to "teach" the router to pass all the access of virtual domain (wiki.cubique.ro) to the wiki box, where the real pages are stored. So I teach the Apache to ProxyPass the access of virtual domain root to the wiki box root like this: ...the following lines lies in the same virtual domain definition, see above ProxyPass / xttp://192.168.0.200/wiki/ ProxyPassReverse / xttp://192.168.0.200/wiki/ < /VirtualHost WHAT IS THE ISSUE If I access the wiki using the internal address (such as xttp://192.168.0.200/wiki/) it looks splendid (style sheets, everything). When I access the wiki using the virtual domain name ( xttp://wiki.cubique.ro ) it shows the content but no style sheet. Worse than that, no internal wiki links are working at all.   • Lambdas within Extension methods: Possible memory leak?

    I just gave an answer to a quite simple question by using an extension method. But after writing it down i remembered that you can't unsubscribe a lambda from an event handler. So far no big problem. But how does all this behave within an extension method?? Below is my code snipped again. So can anyone enlighten me, if this will lead to myriads of timers hanging around in memory if you call this extension method multiple times? I would say no, cause the scope of the timer is limited within this function. So after leaving it no one else has a reference to this object. IE 6 & 7 render correctly, and I can solve the IE8 problem by triggering compatibility mode, but I'd rather not do that. Does anyone have any experience with this?   • jQuery Bounce ignores positioning

    I'm having a problem trying to use the jQuery effect "bounce" on an absolutely position div inside of a relatively positioned div. The #Bounce div is positioned to be slightly above the container div and when a certain message is received it is supposed to bounce on top of it. But what ends up happening is that the #bounce div drops down into the container div and bounces inside of it till it stops and then correctly repositions itself on top of the container div. This same code is working in Firefox but doesn't seem to be working in Webkit or IE.
