  • Getting filtered results with subquery

    - by josepv
    I have a table with something like the following: ID Name Color 1 Bob Blue 2 John Yellow 1 Bob Green 3 Sara Red 3 Sara Green What I would like to do is return a filtered list of results whereby the following data is returned: ID Name Color 1 Bob Blue 2 John Yellow 3 Sara Red i.e. I would like to return 1 row per user. (I do not mind which row is returned for the particular user - I just need that the [ID] is unique.) I have something already that works but is really slow where I create a temp table adding all the ID's and then using a "OUTER APPLY" selecting the top 1 from the same table, i.e. CREATE TABLE #tb ( [ID] [int] ) INSERT INTO #tb select distinct [ID] from MyTable select T1.[ID], T2.[Name], T2.Color from #tb T1 OUTER APPLY ( SELECT TOP 1 * FROM MyTable T2 WHERE T2.[ID] = T1.[ID] ) AS V2 DROP TABLE #tb Can somebody suggest how I may improve it? Thanks

  • Algorithm to generate radial gradient

    - by user146780
    I have this algorithm here: pc = # the point you are coloring now p0 = # start point p1 = # end point v = p1 - p0 d = Length(v) v = Normalize(v) # or Scale(v, 1/d) v0 = pc - p0 t = Dot(v0, v) t = Clamp(t/d, 0, 1) color = (start_color * t) + (end_color * (1 - t)) to generate point to point linear gradients. It works very well for me. I was wondering if there was a similar algorithm to generate radial gradients. By similar, I mean one that solves for color at point P rather than solve for P at a certain color (where P is the coordinate you are painting). Thanks

  • jQuery CSS Custom Flyout Menu Styling Issue

    - by aherrick
    I'm close to nailing this flyout menu I have been working on, just have a couple of current pain points. I'm trying to get left/right padding on my submenu items, as you can see I am not quite there. Also when the first submenu is displayed, I want to create a bit of a gap between the first row of list items and the child. Below is my current code and a screen shot displaying what I want. Based on my current CSS, any thoughts on how to get this done in a clean way? <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title></title> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> function mainmenu() { $("#nav ul").css({ display: "none" }); // Opera Fix $("#nav li").hover(function() { $(this).find('ul:first').css({ visibility: "visible", display: "none" }).show(400); }, function() { $(this).find('ul:first').css({ visibility: "hidden" }); }); } $(document).ready(function() { mainmenu(); }); </script> <style type="text/css"> * { padding: 0px; margin: 0px; } body { font-size: 0.85em; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; } #nav, #nav ul { margin: 0; padding: 0; list-style-type: none; list-style-position: outside; position: relative; } #nav a { display: block; padding: 4px 0px 4px 0px; color: #dfca90; text-decoration: none; background-color: #ECE9D8; font-size: 9px; font-weight: bold; font: bold 15px Palatino, 'Palatino Linotype' , Georgia, serif; } #nav > li > a { font-size: 16px; font-variant: small-caps; border-right: 1px solid #dfca90; padding-right: 10px; padding-left: 10px; padding-bottom: 6px; padding-top: 6px; background-color: #fff; color: #dfca90; } #nav li ul li a:hover { color: #999; } #nav li { float: left; position: relative; } #nav ul { position: absolute; display: none; width: 170px; border: 2px solid #dfca90; } #nav ul li { } #nav li ul a { width: 170px; height: auto; float: left; } #nav ul ul { top: -2px; } #nav li ul ul { left: 170px; background-color: #ECE9D8; } #nav li:hover ul ul, #nav li:hover ul ul ul, #nav li:hover ul ul ul ul { display: none; } #nav li:hover ul, #nav li li:hover ul, #nav li li li:hover ul, #nav li li li li:hover ul { display: block; } </style> </head> <body> <ul id="nav"> <li><a href="#">1 HTML</a></li> <li><a href="#">2 CSS</a></li> <li><a href="#">3 Javascript </a> <ul> <li><a href="#">3.1 jQuery</a> <ul> <li><a href="#">3.1.1 Download</a> </li> <li><a href="#">3.1.2 Tutorial</a> </li> </ul> </li> <li><a href="#">3.2 Mootools</a></li> <li><a href="#">3.3 Prototype</a></li> </ul> </li> </ul> </body> </html>

  • How do you position a background image inside a <div>?

    - by Giffyguy
    My code currently looks like this: <div style="position: fixed; width: 35.25%; height: 6.75%; left: 0%; top: 4.625%; right: 64.75%; bottom: 88.625%; color: #D1E231; text-align: center; background-color: #666666; background-image: url('FleurTR.png'); background-position: right top;"> <div> The <div> shows up just fine, with the grey background color, but the background image won't show up at all. What am I missing here? There's no reason I should have to specify background-attachment or background-repeat, right? (I don't want it to repeat.)

  • JavaScript: 'foo.value' not working in IE?

    - by pete
    Hi! A few hours ago, I was instructed how to style a specific textarea with JS. The following piece of code (thanks again, Mario Menger) works like a charm in Firefox but unfortunately nothing happens in Internet Explorer (7 tested only so far). var foo = document.getElementById('HCB_textarea'); var defaultText = 'Your message here'; foo.value = defaultText; foo.style.color = '#888'; foo.onfocus = function(){ foo.style.color = '#000'; if ( foo.value == defaultText ) { foo.value = ''; } }; foo.onblur = function(){ foo.style.color = '#888'; if ( foo.value == '' ) { foo.value = defaultText; } }; I've already tried to replace 'value' by 'innerHTML' (for IE only) but to no effect. Any suggestions? TIA

  • when text changed inputbox automatically updates next 6 text boxes

    - by James123
    I have 7 textboxes. If Top 1 textbox(Volume All Years) text changed, text need to be updated in next 6 inputboxes(Latest 2009 Volume to Latest 2014 Volume). I need javascript or Jquery for this. I will write Js textchanged() or focuschange() for top 1 textbox. • Hide divider without hiding childDivider on ExpandableListView

    - by thomaus
    I can't find a way to hide dividers on an ExpandableListView without hiding the child dividers too. Here is my code. <ExpandableListView android:id="@+id/activities_list" android:background="@android:color/transparent" android:fadingEdge="none" android:groupIndicator="@android:color/transparent" android:divider="@android:color/transparent" android:childDivider="@drawable/list_divider" android:layout_width="fill_parent" android:layout_height="wrap_content" /> With this code, I get no dividers on groups but no child dividers neither. If I set android:divider to "@drawable/list_divider" I get both group and child dividers. Thanks in advance!

  • Tinymce extended_valid_elements for BBcodes?

    - by Emily
    I use Tinymce with BBcodes plugin so the tags used in the editor are [B] [U] [I] [quote] [color]. If you are familiar with TinyMce there is a great option to filter all unwanted tags when pasting to the editor. Unfortunately i think this is not working for BBcodes mode, what i want is to remove any <TAGS> Or Other Unwanted BBcodes such as [url] & [img] So, my white list is : [B] [U] [I] [quote] [color=XXXXXX]. I'm already filtering in the server side, but i want this to be implemented in the client side too, So by example if someone copied from a webpage a mix of images and urls and formatted text, every image will be stripped and every url will be "unclickable" directly after pasting. Note: this is one of my failed attempts : extended_valid_elements : 'b,i,u,quote,color' Thanks

  • jQuery: Cannot change style of element after selected

    - by JamesBrownIsDead
    Here is my code. Where you see "alert([...]);", an alert pops up. Why doesn't the CSS style change? The 'click' event fires, too! resolveSideMenuAddress: function () { var firstLink = $("#masterHeaderMenu .masterHeaderMenuButton a:first"); function select(link) { alert('i alert'); link.css({ 'color': '#9a4d9e', 'cursor': 'default' }); alert('color and cursor not changed'); link.click(function () { alert('click'); return false; }); } if (window.location.pathname === firstLink.attr('href')) { alert('i alert'); select(firstLink); } } I've tried addClass() and can't change the color of the link that way either.

  • using a texture mesh and wireframe mesh in threejs

    - by Andy Poes
    I'm trying to draw a wireframe mesh and a textured mesh in threeJS but when I have both added to my scene the textured mesh doesn't display. Code below: I'm having trouble creating two meshes that share the same geometry where one of the materials is wireframe and the other is a texture. If one of the materials is wireframe and the other is just a color fill it works fine- but as soon as I make the second material a texture it stops working. If I comment out scene.add( wireMesh ); then the textured mesh shows up. var wireMat = new THREE.MeshBasicMaterial( { color:0x00FFFF, wireframe: true, transparent: true, overdraw:true } ); var wireMesh = new THREE.Mesh(geometry, wireMat); scene.add( wireMesh ); var texture = texture = THREE.ImageUtils.loadTexture( 'textures/world.jpg' ); var imageMat = new THREE.MeshBasicMaterial( {color:0xffffff, map: texture } ); var fillMesh = new THREE.Mesh(geometry, imageMat); scene.add( fillMesh );

  • Handling inverted pixels in bitmapData and bitmap class in as3

    - by intoTHEwild
    I am using bitmapData and bitmap classes to render a mouse cursor on the display screen. The bitmapData consists of an area whose colors should be inverted according to the background color. This is a very basic thing which could be observed with text cursor(the vertical line with two small horizontals on top and bottom), when moved over the text area. I want to be able to do the same with the pixels in my bitmapData, is there a way to find out the background color effectively and invert the color values? In this process i will be redrawing the whole pixels, is there any other efficient way to do that ?

  • Fluent-NHibernate - Component property attributes ignored by Convention

    - by BobTodd
    I have a component with a number of properties that have various attributes Normally when these attributes are added to a plain old domain object they are picked up by my custom AttributeConventions. For the Component properties they are not. Is there some extra wiring needed for these? e.g. public class Component { [Length(Max=50)] public virtual string Name {get; set;} } public class MyClass { public virtual Component Component {get; set;} [Length(Max=50)] public virtual string Color {get; set;} } I get a table MyClass with columns Color & ComponentName Color is an nvarchar(50) whilst ComponentName is an nvarchar(255) (the default)

  • How to use ColorDrawable with ImageView?

    - by user246114
    Hi, I have a layout with an ImageView defined like: <ImageView android:layout_width="45dip" android:layout_height="45dip" android:scaleType="fitXY" /> now I just want to set the imageview to be a static color, like red or green. I'm trying: ColorDrawable cd = new ColorDrawable("FF0000"); cd.setAlpha(255); ImageView iv = ...; iv.setImageDrawable(cd); the imageview is just empty though, no color. The 45dip space is being used up though. What do I need to do to get the color to be rendered? Thanks

  • jQuery autocomplete not always working on elements

    - by PoweRoy
    I'm trying to create a greasemonkey script (for Opera) to add autocomplete to input elements found on a webpage but it's not completely working. I first got the autocomplete plugin working: // ==UserScript== // @name autocomplete // @description autocomplete // @include * // ==/UserScript== // Add jQuery var GM_JQ = document.createElement('script'); GM_JQ.src = 'http://jquery.com/src/jquery-latest.js'; GM_JQ.type = 'text/javascript'; document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(GM_JQ); var GM_CSS = document.createElement('link'); GM_CSS.rel = 'stylesheet'; GM_CSS.href = 'http://dev.jquery.com/view/trunk/plugins/autocomplete/jquery.autocomplete.css'; document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(GM_CSS); var GM_JQ_autocomplete = document.createElement('script'); GM_JQ_autocomplete.type = 'text/javascript'; GM_JQ_autocomplete.src = 'http://dev.jquery.com/view/trunk/plugins/autocomplete/jquery.autocomplete.js'; document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(GM_JQ_autocomplete); // Check if jQuery's loaded function GM_wait() { if(typeof window.jQuery == 'undefined') { window.setTimeout(GM_wait,100); } else { $ = window.jQuery; letsJQuery(); } } GM_wait(); function letsJQuery() { $("input[type='text']").each(function(index) { $(this).val("test autocomplete"); }); $("input[type='text']").autocomplete("http://mysite/jquery_autocomplete.php", { dataType: 'jsonp', parse: function(data) { var rows = new Array(); for(var i=0; i<data.length; i++){ rows[i] = { data:data[i], value:data[i], result:data[i] }; } return rows; }, formatItem: function(row, position, length) { return row; }, }); } I see the 'test autocomplete' but using the Opera debugger(firefly) I don't see any communication to my php page. (yes mysite is fictional, but it works here) Trying it on my own page: <body> no autocomplete: <input type="text" name="q1" id="script_1"><br> autocomplete on: <input type="text" name="q2" id="script_2" autocomplete="on"><br> autocomplete off: <input type="text" name="q3" id="script_3" autocomplete="off"><br> autocomplete off: <input type="text" name="q4" id="script_4" autocomplete="off"><br> </body> This works, but when trying on another pages it sometimes won't: e.g. http://spitsnieuws.nl/ works but http://nu.nl and http://dumpert.nl don't work. Trying the autocomplete of jquery ui has more problems: // ==UserScript== // @name autocomplete // @description autocomplete // @include * // ==/UserScript== // Add jQuery var GM_JQ = document.createElement('script'); GM_JQ.src = 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4/jquery.min.js'; GM_JQ.type = 'text/javascript'; document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(GM_JQ); var GM_CSS = document.createElement('link'); GM_CSS.rel = 'stylesheet'; GM_CSS.href = 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8/themes/base/jquery-ui.css'; document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(GM_CSS); var GM_JQ_autocomplete = document.createElement('script'); GM_JQ_autocomplete.type = 'text/javascript'; GM_JQ_autocomplete.src = 'http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8/jquery-ui.min.js'; document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0].appendChild(GM_JQ_autocomplete); // Check if jQuery's loaded function GM_wait() { if(typeof window.jQuery == 'undefined') { window.setTimeout(GM_wait,100); } else { $ = window.jQuery; letsJQuery(); } } GM_wait(); // All your GM code must be inside this function function letsJQuery() { $("input[type='text']").each(function(index) { $(this).val("test autocomplete"); }); $("input[type='text']").autocomplete({ source: function(request, response) { $.ajax({ url: "http://mysite/jquery_autocomplete.php", dataType: "jsonp", success: function(data) { response($.map(data, function(item) { return { label: item, value: item } })) } }) } }); } This will work on my html page, http://spitsnieuws.nl and http://dumpert.nl but not on http://nu.nl. (dumpert didn't work on the plugin autocomplete) //http://spitsnieuws.nl <input class="frmtxt ac_input" type="text" id="zktxt" name="query" autocomplete="off"> //http://dumpert.nl <input type="text" name="srchtxt" id="srchtxt"> //http://nu.nl <input id="zoekfield" name="q" type="text" value="Zoek nieuws" onfocus="this.select()" type="text"> Anyone know why the autocomplete functionality doesn't work? Why the request to the php page is not being made? And why I can't add my autocomplete to google.com?

  • Adding childs to list of parents with jquery /mvc2

    - by John Landheer
    Hi, I have a table of products on my page, each product has zero or more colors, the colors are shown as a list beneath the product. After the colors I have a button to add a color. The button will do an ajax call with the parent product id to a controller which will return a JSON object with color information. My problem is where to store the product id in the DOM, should I put it in a hidden field and use jquery in the click event of the "add color" to get to it? What is the best way to do this? TIA, John EDIT: The page is initially rendered on the server so I don't want to use jquery to add the id's to the page.

    - by TaG

  • Conditional Validation using JQuery Validation Plugin

    - by Steve Kemp
    I have a simple html form that I've added validation to using the JQuery Validation plugin. I have it working for single fields that require a value. I now need to extend that so that if a user answers Yes to a question they must enter something in the Details field, otherwise the Details field can be left blank. I'm using radio buttons to display the Yes/No. Here's my complete html form - I'm not sure where to go from here: <script type="text/javascript" charset="utf-8"> $.metadata.setType("attr", "validate"); $(document).ready(function() { $("#editRecord").validate(); }); </script> <style type="text/css"> .block { display: block; } form.cmxform label.error { display: none; } </style> </head> <body> <div id="header"> <h1> Questions</h1> </div> <div id="content"> <h1> Questions Page 1 </h1> </div> <div id="content"> <h1> </h1> <form class="cmxform" method="post" action="editrecord.php" id="editRecord"> <input type="hidden" name="-action" value="edit"> <h1> Questions </h1> <table width="46%" class="record"> <tr> <td width="21%" valign="top" class="field_name_left"><p>Question 1</p></td> <td width="15%" valign="top" class="field_data"> <label for="Yes"> <input type="radio" name="Question1" value="Yes" validate = "required:true" /> Yes </label> <label for="No"> <input type="radio" name="Question1" value="No" /> No </label> <label for="Question1" class="error">You must answer this question to proceed</label> </td> <td width="64%" valign="top" class="field_data"><strong>Details:</strong> <textarea id = "Details1" class="where" name="Details1" cols="25" rows="2"></textarea></td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top" class="field_name_left">Question 2</td> <td valign="top" class="field_data"> <label for="Yes"> <input type="radio" name="Question2" value="Yes" validate = "required:true" /> Yes </label> <label for="No"> <input type="radio" name="Question2" value="No" /> No </label> <label for="Question2" class="error">You must answer this question to proceed</label> </td> <td valign="top" class="field_data"><strong>Details:</strong> <textarea id = "Details2" class="where" name="Details2" cols="25" rows="2"></textarea> </td> </tr> <tr class="submit_btn"> <td colspan="3"> <input type="submit" name="-edit" value="Finish"> <input type="reset" name="reset" value="Reset"> </td> </tr> </table> </form> </div> </body> </html>

  • JSF2 - Why does render response not rerender component setting?

    - by fekete-kamosh
    From the tutorial: "If the request is a postback and errors were encountered during the apply request values phase, process validations phase, or update model values phase, the original page is rendered during Render response phase" (http://java.sun.com/javaee/5/docs/tutorial/doc/bnaqq.html) Does it mean that if view is restored in "Restore View" phase and then any apply request/validation/update model phase fails and skips to "Render response" that Render response only passes restored view without any changes to client? • Why doesn't the highlighted part of the JavaScript work?

    - by Dor Cohen
    Why isn't the 'confirm password and password the same' part working? Meaning, the part that uses the 'getElementById' to adress the password and confirmpassword. Every part works but that particular part. It doesn't show a red box around the text fields. Can anyone help me? <html> <head> </head> <script> function submitinfo() { var firstname = document.getElementById("firstname").value; var lastname = document.getElementById("lastname").value; var username = document.getElementById("username").value; var password = document.getElementById("password").value; var confirmpassword = document.getElementById("confirmpassword").value; var email = document.getElementById("email").value; if(firstname !== "" && document.getElementById("firstname").style.borderColor == "red")     {     document.getElementById("firstname").style.border = "none"     } if(lastname !== "" && document.getElementById("lastname").style.borderColor == "red") { document.getElementById("lastname").style.border = "none" } if(username !== "" && document.getElementById("username").style.borderColor == "red") { document.getElementById("username").style.border = "none" } if(password !== "" && document.getElementById("password").style.borderColor == "red") { document.getElementById("password").style.border = "none" } if(confirmpassword !== "" && document.getElementById("confirmpassword").style.borderColor == "red") { document.getElementById("confirmpassword").style.border = "none" } if(email !== "" && document.getElementById("email").style.borderColor == "red") { document.getElementById("email").style.border = "none" } if(firstname == "") { document.getElementById("firstname").style.borderColor = "red"; document.getElementById("firstname").style.borderStyle = "solid"; } if(lastname == "") { document.getElementById("lastname").style.borderColor = "red"; document.getElementById("lastname").style.borderStyle = "solid"; } if(username == "") { document.getElementById("username").style.borderColor = "red"; document.getElementById("username").style.borderStyle = "solid"; } if(password == "") { document.getElementById("password").style.borderColor = "red"; document.getElementById("password").style.borderStyle = "solid"; } if(confirmpassword == "") { document.getElementById("confirmpassword").style.borderColor = "red"; document.getElementById("confirmpassword").style.borderStyle = "solid"; } if(email == "") { document.getElementById("email").style.borderColor = "red"; document.getElementById("email").style.borderStyle = "solid"; } if(password !== "" && confirmpassword !== "" && document.getElementById("password").style.border == "none" && document.getElementById("confirmpassword").style.border == "none" && password !== confirmpassword) { document.getElementById("password").style.border = "red"; document.getElementById("confirmpassword").style.border = "red"; } if(firstname && lastname && username && password && confirmpassword && email !== "") { window.open() } } </script> <h><font size=4 color=3BCCBE><b>Full Name</b></font><h/> <br> <input type="text" id="firstname" size="15px" placeholder="First"> <input type="text" id="lastname" size="15px" placeholder="Last"> <br> <br> <br> <br> <h><font size=4 color=3BCCBE><b>Choose your username</b></font></h> <br> <input type="text" id="username" size="37px"> <br> <p><font size=3 color="grey">atleast 6 characters long</font></p> <br> <h><font size=4 color=3BCCBE><b>Create a password</b></font></h> <br> <input type="password" id="password" size="37px"> <br> <br> <br> <br> <h><font size=4 color=3BCCBE><b>Confirm your password</b></font><h/> <br> <input type="password" id="confirmpassword" size="37px"> <br> <br> <br> <br> <h><font size=4 color=3BCCBE><b>Email address</b></font><h/> <br> <input type="text" id="email" size="37px"> <br> <br> <br> <br> <input type="button" value="Submit" onclick="submitinfo()" style="height:50px; width:85px; font-size:22px;> <br> </body> </html>
