  • Open/Close database connection in django

    I am using Django and Postgresql as my DBMS. I wish to set a setting that enables to enable/disable database connection. When the connection is set to closed (in settings.py) the site will display a message such as "meintanence mode" or something like that. Django will not show any db connection error message (or mail them to admins). It is appreciated if django do not try to connect to the database at all.

    Are there any workarounds to get the Flex compiler to work with a 64bit JRE? If I use an MXMLC task in an Ant buildfile in Eclipse it works fine but if I try to use MXMLC from the command line (or try the Run... command from FDT in Eclipse) it fails, telling me ... "Error loading: C:\Program Files\Java\jrrt-1.6.0\jre\bin\jrockit\jvm.dll" (this is with a 64bit JRockit runtime but that shouldn't matter).

    Hi. I got a wsdl file in email. At first I didn't know how to use it. I've simply saved the file to my disk. Opened visual studio...added a service reference...provided path to file, and service was discovered. I opened the object browser to see the types and methods that got imported. I figure anything that ends with the name 'Client' is a good place to start using the web service. I've tried using a simple method to get data but it has run into and expception. Need help in resolving it.     I'm working on a program that accesses StarTeam using the StarTeam SDK for .NET. And I've noticed that it takes about 10 seconds to login to the StarTeam server. I'm wondering if there's anything I can do to speed that up. Edit I used this command to run the StarTeam Cross Platform client with debugging output: stjava.exe StarTeamCP.stjava -- -netmon It appears that the delay happens when it send the command SRVR_CMD_GET_USER_PERSONAL_INFO. So I don't think there's anything I can do to speed it up.

    My directory structure looks like the following: -xmllib -libxml++-1.0.a -main.cc ..and I issue the command: cc -lstdc++ -L./xmllib -llibxml++-1.0.a main.cc But then it tells me that it can't find the binary for the library...even though I issued the command from the root directory. /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -llibxml++-1.0.a main.cc collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Is there any reason why cc can't find the binary library? I'm using cc version 2.96 (yes, it's old).
