  • best practises to delete a set of tables in sql 2008

    Basically i want to keep the transaction very simple but i should be able to rollback if any error in the later part. Something like mentioned below, BEGIN TRANSACTION DELETE SET 1(this will delete first set of table) COMMIT DELETE SET 2 (will delete second set of table) If any error occurs while deleting set 2 i should be able to rollback set 1 transaction as well.Let me know if we have any options to do like this. Appreciate for your help.

    I am aware questions like this one may already be out there but for the sake of others like me I will go ahead and ask I have a app that is set to only allow portrait orientation but this setting affects my videos as I would like only the videos to be able to play in landscape also.     (rest_branches) is the table of restaurants. (phone_numbers) is another table which contains the restaurants phone_numbers, and it has a field called (branch_id) which references the restaurant id. When I try: SELECT * FROM rest_branches NATURAL JOIN phone_numbers I only get the restaurants which have a phone_number. What should I do to get all restaurants even if they don't have a phone number?

I'm using mysqldump with the option -T which creates a sql and a txt file per table. mysqldump -u user -ppass db -T path I use that option to be able to restore easily one table.
