  I'm developing a website that has some audio courses, each course can have multiple lessons. I want to display each course in its own table with its different lessons. • Editing a Gridview row with drop-down lists gets too wide - how can I use popup panels instead?

  I have a series of GridViews in a Tab Panel - databound to a generic List of Business Objects. The columns in the Gridview are all similar to the following: <asp:TemplateField HeaderText="Company" SortExpression="Company.ShortName"> <ItemTemplate> <asp:Label ID="lblCompany" runat="server" Text='<%# Bind("Company.ShortName") %>'></asp:Label> </ItemTemplate> <EditItemTemplate> <asp:DropDownList ID="ddlCompany" runat="server"></asp:DropDownList> </EditItemTemplate> </asp:TemplateField> The GridView generates the "Edit" link at the beginning of the row, all the events fire ok. The problem is that the data is getting long. When in 'display mode', it's fine because the GridView control is smart enough to break some text into multiple lines (in particular Project, Title and Worker names can get pretty long). The problem come in editing mode. Drop-down lists DON'T break entries into multiple lines (for obvious reasons). Going into Edit ode on a row in the Gridview can make the Griview expand horizontally to twice the screen size (blowing through the width limits in the Master page and CSS but that's only a related problem). What I need is something like the ModalPopup - but trying to tie it to an ID in an EditItemTemplate gives me errors when the page renders (because the 'ddlXXXX' doesn't exist at the time). In addition I don't know how to dynamically populate the panel so that I can get a response from it (like the ID of the Company they selected). I'm also trying to avoid javascript and would like this to be a 'pure' aspx/code-behind solution (for simplicity's sake among others). All the examples I find are of Modal Popups with the panels pre-defined. Even if it (the popup panel) were something like a list of checkboxes, it could be databound to the SortedList I have ready to go and an OK/Cancel button combination to accept or ignore things. I'm just not sure of what goes where. I'm open to suggestions. Thanks in advance. • What's the problem of this piece of JavaScript code?

  Hi guys, The following piece of JavaScript code is a cross browser way to add/remove event handler. It will save a deleting method as a property of an HTML element object. • Why doesn't my QsciLexerCustom subclass work in PyQt4 using QsciScintilla?

  My end goal is to get Erlang syntax highlighting in QsciScintilla using PyQt4 and Python 2.6. I'm running on Windows 7, but will also need Ubuntu support. PyQt4 is missing the necessary wrapper code for the Erlang lexer/highlighter that "base" scintilla has, so I figured I'd write a lightweight one on top of QsciLexerCustom. It's a little bit problematic, because the Qsci wrapper seems to really want to talk about line+index rather than offset-from-start when getting/setting subranges of text. Meanwhile, the lexer gets arguments as offset-from-start. For now, I get a copy of the entire text, and split that up as appropriate. I have the following lexer, and I apply it with setLexer(). It gets all the appropriate calls when I open a new file and sets this as the lexer, and prints a bunch of appropriate lines based on what it's doing... but there is no styling in the document. I tried making all the defined styles red, and the document is still stubbornly black-on-white, so apparently the styles don't really "take effect" What am I doing wrong? If nobody here knows, what's the appropriate discussion forum where people might actually know these things? (It's an interesting intersection between Python, Qt and Scintilla, so I imagine the set of people who would know is small) Let's assume prefs.declare() just sets up a dict that returns the value for the given key (I've verified this -- it's not the problem). • jqGrid multiplesearch - How do I add and/or column for each row?

  I have a jqGrid multiple search dialog as below: (Note the first empty td in each row). What I want is a search grid like this (below), where: The first td is filled in with "and/or" accordingly. The corresponding search filters are also built that way. The empty td is there by default, so I assume that this is a standard jqGrid feature that I can turn on, but I can't seem to find it in the docs. • CABasicAnimation not scrolling with rest of View

  All, I'm working on reproducing the pulsing Blue circle effect that the map uses to show your own location... I layered a UIView over a MKMapView. The UIView contains the pulsing animation. While the position I want highlighted is centered on the screen the animation works ok, once I've dragged the position so it's no longer centered the animation now pulses starting at the center of the screen scaling up to center on the position dragged off center, and back again... A humorous and cool effect, but not what I was looking for. I realize I may have been lucky on several fronts. I'm not sure what I misunderstood. I think the animation is scaling the entire layer which just happens to have my circle drawn in the middle of it. So it works when centered but not when off center.   Hi all I'm working on a GMaps application to retrieve images, via getJSON(), and to populate a popup marker. Then, I decided to think laterally and to see if the images were being retrieved at all. I then moved the images outside and sure as Bob (Hope), the images were being retrieved and refreshed with every click. So, I decided to the keep the images outside and then once loaded, append it to the CampWindow . It's not working still; when I append the div to the main CampWindow div, the images won't show. I check in Firebug with the pointer thingy and it shows me the images as empty. I try it again with the images outside and it shows the images. I've tried before append and appendTo with no success. Am I missing something here? I have no more woohoo to claw out.   Below is the code extract from my decoder transform filter which takes in data from my source filter which is taking RTP network data from an IP camera. The source filter, decode filter can dynamically respond to changes in the camera image dimensions since I need to handle resolution changes in the decode library. I've used the 'ReceiveConnection' method as described in the DirectShow help, passing the new MediaType data in the next sample. However, I can't get the Video Mixing Renderer to accept the resolution changes dynamically even though the renderer will render the different resolution if the graph is stopped and restarted. Can anyone point out what I need to do to get the renderer to handle dynamic resolution changes? • Append <ul> and <li> in recursive loop

  I have a site collection. I was told I need a recursive loop to do this. This is what I've tried: When the site loads, call getSiteTree() which passes the top level website to my getSubSite() function. From there I check if there are any subsites. I have a boolean but I'm not really using it for anything yet, I've just seen it used before for this type of work. Anyways, from there I check if there are any sub sits, if not I log the end of the branch, if there are, I call the function again using the new url and repeat the process. However, when it is in one of the divs that is set to display: none; part of the gallery doesn't work when the div is toggled to be visible. Specifically, the following css ceases to be written (this is created by galleria jQuery): element.style { display:block; height:50px; margin-left:-17px; width:auto; } For the life of me, I can't figure out why the gallery fails when it's div is set to display: none. Since this declaration is overwritten when a tab is clicked (via the Javascript functions above), why would this cause a problem? As I mentioned, it works perfectly when it lives the in display: block; div. Any ideas? I don't expect anybody to be familiar with the jQuery galleria image gallery... but perhaps an idea of how one might repair this problem? Thanks!

  I had seen some problem on other forum, and i tried to solve them but unsuccesfully, now is too intersting for me and i just need to solve this for my ego... lol Main problem is when snake eat first food, snake added one rectangle, when snake eat second food nothings changed? When snake head position and food position are same, then i try to add another rectangle, i have list where i stored rectangles coordinates x and y. What do you think, how i can to solve this problem?   Hi, I'm reading the moust cursor pixmap data from the StdFBShmem_t structure, as defined in the IOFrameBufferShared API. Everything works fine, 90% of the time. However, I have noticed that some applications on the mac set a cursor in a different format. According to the documentation for the data structures, the cursor pixmap format should always be in the same format as the frame buffer. My frame buffer is 32BPP. I expect the pixmap data to be in the format 0xAARRGGBB, which is it. However, in some cases, I'm reading data that looks like a mask. Specifically, the pixel will either be 0x00FFFFFF or `0x00000000. This looks to me to be a mask for separate pixel data stored somewhere else. As far as I can tell, the only application that uses this cursor pixel format is Qt Creator, but I need to work with all applications, so I'd like to sort this out. • wxPthon problems with Wrapping StaticText

  Hello. I am having an issue with wxPython. A simplified version of the code is posted below (white space, comments, etc removed to reduce size - but the general format to my program is kept roughly the same). When I run the script, the static text correctly wraps as it should, but the other items in the panel do not move down (they act as if the statictext is only one line and thus not everything is visible). If I manually resize the window/frame, even just a tiny amount, everything gets corrected and displays as it is should. I took screen shots to show this behavior, but I just created this account and thus don't have the required 10 reputation points to be allowed to post pictures. Why does it not display correctly to begin with? I've tried all sorts of combination's of GetParent().Refresh() or Update() and GetTopLevelParent().Update() or Refresh(). I've tried everything I can think of but cannot get it to display correctly without manually resizing the frame/window. Once re-sized, it works exactly as I want it to. • jQuery hold form submit until "continue" button pressed

  I am trying to submit a form, which I have had working, but have now modified it to include a modal jQuery UI box, so that it won't submit until the user presses "continue". I've had various problems with this, including getting the form to hold until that button is pressed, but I think I have found a solution to that, but implementing it, I am getting a SyntaxError which I can't find the source of. With the help of kevin B managed to find the answer was the form was submitting, but the returned JSON response wasn't quite formatted right. The response was that the form wasn't being submitted, so that problem is still occurring. So updated the code with the provided feedback, now need to find out why the form isnt submitting. I know its something to do with the 2nd function isnt recognising the submit button has been pressed, so need to know how to submit that form data without the form needing to be submitted again.   I am trying to get a varchar message from a database to display the selected values of a checkbox field in a jsp for patient's medication's dosage frequency. The possible values will be saved in comma-delimited string in the varchar. For most form fields there is simply a one form value to one database field ratio, but in this case, I am needing to merge the values that would come as a string[] into the comma-delimited string and then when retrieving that record for that medication of that patient, display the selected values from the comma-delimited string as selected from the selectableDosageFrequencyList. You assistance in this is greatly appreciated as I am not sure what I am missing here.
