  • JSON Feed Appears to be XHR when it should be JS

    I don't get why it'd doing this with the 2nd feed (appearing as a XHR call rather than just JS [looking at it in Firefox/Firebug]). The 2nd feed has the exact same MIME type as Flickr's JSON feed, yet the PortlandOregon.gov one shows as XHR and i get a NULL callback when using $.getJSON and if i use $.ajax with a 'json' or 'jsonp' type i get nothing at all. If i do the Flickr one i get the normal "[object Object]" callback. Whats going on? Please help! This has been such a headache for about a week. And i have authorization to change the feed, but i have to request the change, so if anyone knows for absolute sure let me know that! Unless there's something new in Grails 1.2.1 or Groovy that I'm not understanding.     I am trying to parse a date that looks like this: 2010-04-05T17:16:00Z This is a valid date per http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3339.txt. The 'Z' literal "imply that UTC is the preferred reference point for the specified time." If I try to parse it using SimpleDateFormat and this pattern: yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss It will be parsed as a Mon Apr 05 17:16:00 EDT 2010 SimpleDateFormat is unable to parse the string with these patterns: yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ssz yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ssZ I can explicitly set the TimeZone to use on the SimpleDateFormat to get the expected output, but I don't think that should be necessary. Is there something I am missing? Is there an alternative date parser?

    We are wanting to add support for fingerprint authentication in a .Net 3.5 application. We currently are only using the sdk from Griaule. But this only supports like 5 usb plug-and-play devices. We are wanting to support most readers included with laptops, tablets, etc. Is there a universal way to support many devices? I know there is a new standard starting with Windows 7, but we want to support XP and higher. Is there even a .Net SDK out there for UPEK or Authentec devices? Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

    I am writing a piece of code in Java that needs to take a time sent from a bash script and parse the time to milliseconds. When I check the millisecond conversion on the date everything is correct except for the month I have sent which is January instead of March. Here is the variable I create in the bash script, which later in the script I pass to the Java program: TIME=`date +%m%d%Y_%H:%M:%S` Here is the Java code which parses the time to milliseconds: String dt = "${scriptstart}"; java.text.SimpleDateFormat scriptStart = new java.text.SimpleDateFormat("MMDDyyyy_HH:mm:ss"); long start = scriptStart.parse(dt).getTime(); The goal of this statement is to find the elapsed time between the start of the script and the current system time. To troubleshoot this I printed out the two: System Time = 1269898069496 (converted = Mon Mar 29 2010 16:27:49 GMT-0500 (Central Daylight Time)) Script Start = 03292010_16:27:45 Script Start in Milli = 1264804065000 (Converted = Fri Jan 29 2010 16:27:45 GMT-0600 (Central Standard Time))

    I used IntentService in my code instead of Service because IntentService creates a thread for me in onHandleIntent(Intent intent), so I don't have to create a Thead myself in the code of my service. I expected that two intents to the same IntentSerivce will execute in parallel because a thread is generated in IntentService for each invent. But my code turned out that the two intents executed in sequential way. It there anything I misunderstood of IntentService. To make two service intents execute in parallel, do I have to replace IntentService with service and start a thread myself in the service code? I just wanted to keep the same format of the original String date and make it into a Date object. I'm using Netbeans 6.8 Mac version.

    Hi, I am working on Joomla 1.5 and our site is using the Bluehost server.Till March 9th, 2010 our site was working perfectly.And on March 10th,2010 , the following error was shown in the site as Warning: Unexpected character in input: '' (ASCII=28) state=1 in /home1/tcscoinc/public_html/tcsrnd/administrator/components/com_jaclplus/jac lplus.class.php on line 73 Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home1/tcscoinc/public_html/tcsrnd/administrator/components/com_jaclplus/jac lplus.class.php on line 73 For time being, i have just renamed the file jaclplus.class.php to make the site to function. As we are using Jaclplus component and we have purchased the Jaclplus component from Byos Tech , i have checked in the membership details.And we found that our Membership has been expired on 03/10/2010 . I have asked them but they had replied that it may not be a problem on membership. Please anyone share what can be the reason for the error.I am not able to open that file(jaclplus.class.php) since its a binary file.

  • Unable to verify body hash for DKIM

    I'm writing a C# DKIM validator and have come across a problem that I cannot solve. Right now I am working on calculating the body hash, as described in Section 3.7 Computing the Message Hashes. I am working with emails that I have dumped using a modified version of EdgeTransportAsyncLogging sample in the Exchange 2010 Transport Agent SDK. Instead of converting the emails when saving, it just opens a file based on the MessageID and dumps the raw data to disk. And while I was working on it (failing to get it to work) I finally came across a message with c=simple/simple which means that you process the whole body as is minus any empty CRLF at the end of the body. (Really, the rules for Body Canonicalization are quite ... simple.) Here is the real DKIM email with a signature using the simple algorithm (with only unneeded headers cleaned up). Now, using the above code and updating the expectedBase64 hash I get the following results: Expected hash: VnGg12/s7xH3BraeN5LiiN+I2Ul/db5/jZYYgt4wEIw= Computed hash: ISNNtgnFZxmW6iuey/3Qql5u6nflKPTke4sMXWMxNUw= Are equal: False The expected hash is the value from the bh= field of the DKIM-Signature header. Now, the file used in the second test is a direct raw output from the Exchange 2010 Transport Agent. If so inclined, you can view the modified EdgeTransportLogging.txt. At this point, no matter how I modify the second email, changing the start position or number of CRLF at the end of the file I cannot get the files to match. What worries me is that I have been unable to validate any body hash so far (simple or relaxed) and that it may not be feasible to process DKIM through Exchange 2010.

  • Google Checkout. Show shipping rates before logging in possible?

    I am trying to integrate google checkout with my current site. I am calculating the shipping on my end, before passing it to google checkout. The problem is, when a person click the "google checkout" button, it takes them to google checkout but it does not show the shipping. It actually states it will be calculated on next step. In the next step it actually shows a drop down with the ONE option for shipping that I passed, which is a flat rate.. The problem is, to get to the next step you have to enter a credit card. Also, my shop has the shipping shown in the cart, so it would seem confusing to go to checkout and have a price without shipping.     As its officials have been hinting and promising for a while now, Microsoft announced it has developed a version of its Bing search app for the iPhone. The new Bing app is available on the iPhone app store as of tonight (December 15). Microsoft already offers Bing on a number of mobile phones, and has a five-year deal with Verizon to provide Bing on a number of phones available to Verizon Wireless customers. A mobile version of Bing already is available for Windows Mobile, Blackberry, BREW and Sidekick devices on Verizon.     Seems like I'm missing something simple, but my attempts to connect to SQL Server Express have failed. I feel like I need to add privileges for my account but I'm not sure where to do it. Dev Env: VS 2010 (Web) SQL: Sql Server Express 2008 OS: XP Trying to open a connection to database returns: Cannot open database "|DataDirectory|DropData.mdf" requested by the login. The login failed. Login failed for user 'devel.' I created the database using the interface in VS 2010 (Add new item - DB File) but my ASP.Net class only covered design-time access and not access in code, so I'm not familiar with what to do. I created a user (Devel) using SQL Server Management Studio to avoid connecting as SA, but couldn't figure out how to give any SQL-level access rights to this account. Any ideas? Thanks, Cameron

    Hi All I have a C# console application written using Visual Studio 2008. My system culture is en-GB. I have a Linq query that looks like this: var myDate = "19-May-2010"; var cus = from x in _dataContext.testTable where x.CreateDate == Convert.ToDateTime(myDate) select x; The resulting SQL query generates and error because it returns the dates as "19/05/2010" which it interprets as an incorrect date. For some reason even though my system culture is set to en-GB it looks like it's trying to intrepret it as a en-US date. Any ideas how I get around this? Thanks. Alan T
