Hello all,
I'm working with a rails app which plays mp3s. Is there a way to catch the request for the mp3 file with ruby, reformat the request(url), and pass the request along?
Hi,
I am new to WCF and trying to create a WCF client. I created a project in VS 2008 and added the reference of WCF web service and it generated the WSDL,configuration.svcinfo and other relevant files.
Now i would like to know how to create the client certificates based on these available files?
In the .svcinfo file, i see that there are multiple bindings (wsHttpBinding) and multiple endpoints.
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.
I have been reading a lot of Javascript lately and I have been noticing that the whole file is wrapped like the following in the .js files to be imported.
(function() {
...
code
...
})()
What is the reason for doing this rather than a simple set of constructor functions?
So the company I'm working for is looking for a means to verify that a given .xls/.xlsx file is valid. Which means checking columns and rows and other data. He's having me evaluate GrapeCity Spread and SpreadsheetGear, but I'm wondering if anyone else has any other suggestions of external tools to check out.
We don't need a means to export .xls files or anything like that, just the ability to import them and verify they are valid based on a set of criteria I create.
Thanks.
Has anyone had success making an msbuild file that will publish a Web Application, not the old 2.0 web site but a Web Application?
This is not what I am looking for:
<MSBuild Projects="eRx.Web.SecureSiteShell.csproj" Properties="Configuration=Debug;OutDir=$(OutputFolder)\$(OutputWeb)\bin\;WebProjectOutputDir=$(OutputFolder)\$(OutputWeb)\" Targets="ResolveReferences;_CopyWebApplication" />
I tried simply using 'targets:Publish' but I get : Skipping unpublishable project.
Hi, I have a very large CSV file contaning only two fields (id,url). I want to do some indexing on the url field with python, I know that there are some tools like Whoosh or Pylucene. but I can't get the examples to work. can someone help me with this?
I have an idea for encryption that I could program fairly easily to encrypt some local text file.
Given that my approach is novel, and does not use any of the industry standard encryption techniques, would I be able to test the strength of my encryption using 'cracker' apps or suchlike?
Or do all those tools rely on advanced knowledge of the encryption process (or intercepted 'keys'), meaning I'd have to build my own cracker for testing?
Hi, I am trying to follow this tutotial:
http://channel9.msdn.com/learn/courses/Silverlight4/Overview/Overview/Moving-Beyond-the-Browser--Elevated-Trust-Applications/#_Toc256192962
in order to sign my silverlight application.
But on the last step which is something like that:
signtool sign /v /f c:\Demo\TestOOBCodeSigningCA.pfx /p password c:\Demo\SilverlightApplication2\SilverlightApplication2.Web\ClientBin\SilverlightApplication2.xap
I got the following error:
SignTool Error: This file format cannot be signed because it is not recognized
SignTool Error: An error occured while attempting to sign: c:\Demo\SilverlightApplication2\SilverlightApplication2.Web\ClientBin\SilverlightApplication2.xap
What can be the reason?
Has anyone got any idea how to read the XML file saved by MS Project 2007? The standard binary format is .MPP but I'd like to view a project in a different viewer. I've saved the project spec as XML and the viewer I'm using needs the parent task Id for each task. Where can i find that in the rather huge amount of XML data created by ms project?
Does anyone know of an open source implementation of an ASP.NET ProfileProvider that stores user profile information in the file system?
I would prefer to avoid writing my own if a decent implementation already exists - while the API doesn't look to complicated, I'd rather not re-invent the wheel (so to speak).
Hopefully this doesn't matter, but I am using .NET 3.5 with ASP.MVC 1.0.
Thanks in advance.
I've create a plain and siple backup script that only backs up certain files and folders.
tar -zcf $DIRECTORY/var.www.tar.gz /var/www
tar -zcf $DIRECTORY/development.tar.gz /development
tar -zcf $DIRECTORY/home.tar.gz /home
Now this script runs for about 30mins then gives me the following error
gzip: stdout: File too large
Any other solutions that I can use to backup my files using shell scripting or a way to solve this error? I'm grateful for any help.
Hello,
I use a library to parse an iCalendar file, but I don't understand the regex to split property.
iCalendar property has 3 different style:
BEGIN:VEVENT
DTSTART;VALUE=DATE:20080402
RRULE:FREQ=YEARLY;WKST=MO
The library uses this regex that I would like to understand:
var matches:Array = data.match(/(.+?)(;(.*?)=(.*?)((,(.*?)=(.*?))*?))?:(.*)$/);
p.name = matches[1];
p.value = matches[9];
p.paramString = matches[2];
Thanks.
I have a variable which has the directory path along with file name. I want to extract the filename alone from the unix directory path and store it in a variable

Hi,
I have a project with two header files mainwindow.h and website.h.
I want to access a method from website.cpp from inside mainwindow.cpp.
I can access any function from inside mainwindow by doing Window w then doing w-function();
However, when the function finishes from inside the mainwindow the memory for w is erased.
How do I keep w around and HOW DO I DECLARE Website w from my header file?
Thanks,
V$h3r
Isn't visual studio supposed to automatically generate this file for each webservice creation ? If yes why can't I see it anywhere in project directory ?
I have photo gallery code that does image re-sizing and thumbnail creation. I use ImageMagick to do this. I ran a gallery page through Google's Page Speed tool and it revealed that the re-sized images and thumbnails both have about an extra 10KB of data (JPEG files specifically).
What can I add to my scripts to optimize the file size?
Hi, I want to create an XML file with folllowing header dynamically.

Is there any easy way to create a class that uses IFormatProvider that writes out a user-friendly file-size?
public static string GetFileSizeString(string filePath)
{
FileInfo info = new FileInfo(@"c:\windows\notepad.exe");
long size = info.Length;
string sizeString = size.ToString(FileSizeFormatProvider); // This is where the class does its magic...
}
It should result in strings formatted something like "2,5 MB", "3,9 GB", "670 bytes" and so on.
Hi, I just learned emacs archive-mode can let me edit files such as web.xml in a ear easily but I wonder if I have an updated jar file, can I use emacs to replace the old jar in that ear using command-line based emacs? (I have to ssh into servers using putty).
Thanks a lot,
Dean
Opera mini browser can save HTML pages in OBML (Opera Binary Markup Language) format for offline browsing. I am wondering if I can convert a HTML file to OBML format and save in my phone for later viewing.
For doing so, I need details about the OBML format, which seems to be undocumented. Do you know more details on this OBML format?
Thanks for your time.
