Attaching functions to elements in a loop

I have the following HTML and JavaScript it works for the first set of elements when I have a '1' in the selector but when I replace the '1' with an 'i' it doesn't attach itself to any of the elements. Any ideas as to why this might not be working? Selecting the correct input field using jquery

I'm trying to select the id's of dynamic input fields in my code. When clicking a button, the form will create a form field like this: <td><input type="text" id="field_a_1"></td> <td><input type="text" id="field_b_1"></td> <td><input type="text" id="field_c_1"></td> When I click on the button again I get this: <td><input type="text" id="field_a_2"></td> <td><input type="text" id="field_b_2"></td> <td><input type="text" id="field_c_2"></td> What I want to do is select only the field id that I need to pull the value from that particular input and pass it to a variable like this: var example = $(":input:eq(0)").val(); I know that by adding the :eq(0) after the :input selector it will only grab the id for field_a_1, so how do I set it up so that I can pull just the field that I need to assign it to a variable?

Problem with running totals in jquery

I'm having an issue trying to get an accurate running total for my calculations. When you enter numbers into the input field I get an accurate total for that line item, but the grand total comes out to a higher number. Note that this is a dynamic form and that the id's will change depending on how many form fields I have added to the form. Also, I have it set to make the calculations onKeyUp for each input field instead of a calculate button. The code that calculates a single item is this: function calcLineItem(id) { var id = $(id).attr("id"); var Item1 = $("#Item1" + id).val(); var Item2 = $("#Item2" + id).val(); var Item3 = $("#Item3" + id).val(); function calcTotal(Item1, Item2, Item3){ var total; total = Math.round((Item1 * Item2) * Item3); return total; } $("#total" + id).text(calcTotal(Item1, Item2, Item3)); calcAllFields(); } This will give me the total of this particular input field. Drop down list in menu disappears before able to click

I've had quite a search through forums looking for a solution for this, but since I don't know coding I'm not sure what applies to me and what doesn't. So, apologies if this is an often solved problem, but I'll greatly appreciate your help! After much trial and error, I've managed to get a drop down list of pages on my navigation bar; however, when I go to click on a sub-page, the entire menu disappears. I've read through other similar problems where there has been an issue with a margin that's too big, but I think my margins are set to '0'. Select list shrinks in size horizontally when empty

Hello, I have two select list boxes and i can move items back and forth between them using the forward (--) and backward (<--) button. However, if there are no items in a select list, it shrinks in size horizontally. Any way to keep the select list a fixed size, irrespective of whether it contains any options or not ? I'm trying to load an image to a div background using the following file structure in the root. WebContent -- | zharaimages -- | [ItemID] -- | Image.jpg This is done by jQuery and the file structure is inside the root. The ItemID folder is dynamic and I have to check whether the path exists using jQuery and if the path is not valid, I should go to a default path to fetch the default image. How can I check the path is valid using jQuery. I'm hoping to this can be done without an ajax call. Can any one help me on a tutorial or an API I can use for this! UPDATE The files are on the server. The concept I have is that I have 100s of item elements & I want to load an image for each item element. The images are saved in the server ( a local host ) and the folder hierarchy is divided using the item ID as shown. What I want to do is check whether the image file exists before appending it to the background of the item element div. Is this possible. This is a web application developed using spring.

Can access website but images, css stylesheets and javascript files do not download

i have this problem, not sure about the source of it, Basically the title describes the issue, I can access the webpage and see the html structure, but no resources are being donwloaded nor I have access to them using the browser that means, no javascript, no css styles and no images., any solutions?, Im using tomcat by the way. EDIT 1 If I access the tomcat manager from within the server it also blocks the images. I'm running on windows server 2008 R2.

Callback Error when using Sharepoint PeopleEditor

Hi all: I'm getting a "There was an error in the callback" error when clicking on the check names button of the PeopleEditor in Sharepoint. I didn't do anything fancy. All I did was just to create a PeopleEditor in the C# code and add it to a Panel, and let the aspx page renders it. The address book (the button next to the check names button) works. But everytime when I enter something in the PeopleEditor and click the check names button, I get that error. I had a look at my aspx page, and I'm getting the feeling that I'm missing some sort of Javascript library. I have JQuery library included in my aspx page, but thats about it. Does anyone know what might be wrong? [UPDATE] The PeopleEditor is appended to a panel, which is displayed when the value of a dropdown list changes. Thanks.

jQuery button click refresh of jqGrid only firing once

My problem is, any other clicks past the first it seems to run through the jquery code when clicking the button but it never makes it to the POST page. How to destroy tinymce completely?

I am working on something like this: On a webpage, there is an article wrapped in a DIV, an Edit button. When a user click on the Edit button, insert an textarea via javascript, load the html of the DIV into the textarea, load and initial tinymce. When the user click on the Save button, save and update the article via ajax, and destroy tinymce completely. The problem is that, I failed to destroy tinymce completely. When the user click on the Edit button again, a new tinymce instance will load while the old instance is just hidden. BTW, I am using the jQuery version of tinymce

Fancy dynamic list in Android: TableLayout vs ListView

There is a requirement to have not-so-trivial dynamic list, each record of which consists of several columns (texts, buttons). It should look something like: Text11 Text12 Button1 Button2 Text21 Text22 Button1 Button2 ... At first obvious way to accomplish that seemed to be TableLayout. I was expecting to have layout/styling data specified in res/layout/*.xml and to populate it with some dataset from java code (as with ListView, for which its possible to specify TextView of item in *.xml and bind it to some array using ArrayAdapter). But after playing for a while, all I found to be possible is fully populating TableLayout programatically. Still, creating TableRow by TableRow and setting layout attributes directly in java code doesn't seem elegant enough. So the questions are: Am I at the right path? Is TableLayout really best View to accomplish that? Maybe it's more appropriate to extend ListView or something else to meet such requirements? Is it possible to have TableLayout/TableRow template specified in *.xml and data bound to this template in java side?

After inputting a state and a destination I have a javascript functions that uses jquery's .post method to post. Giving a child window focus in IE8

I'm trying to launch a popup window from a Javascript function and ensure it has focus using the following call: window.open(popupUrl, popupName, "...").focus(); It works in every other browser, but IE8 leaves the new window in the background with the flashing orange taskbar notification. Apparently this is a feature of IE8: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms536425%28VS.85%29.aspx It says that I should be able to focus the window by making a focus() call originating from the new page, but that doesn't seem to work either. I've tried inserting window.focus() in script tags in the page and the body's onload but it has no effect. Is there something I'm missing about making a focus() call as the page loads, or another way to launch a popup that IE8 won't hide?
