• Detection screen disconnection in linux

  Hey Guys We have a nasty little problem. In short we can detect if a screen is connect when x11 boots (we do this by looking at the log - Xorg.0.log), but we are having trouble detect when are screen is disconnected while the machine is running (ie post x11 boot) Any one have any ideas? Cheers

Is this assembly distributed with the .NET framework v4.0 redistributable? Is it also guaranteed to be present on a user's machine if any edition of Visual Studio 2010 is installed?

  Hi All, I have an application written in asp.net that I am accessing from a machine with Japanese OS, I use FileUpload component on a page and file path comes as C:\Directory\AnotherDirectory\FileName where it should have been C:¥Directory¥AnotherDirectory¥FileName because ¥ is separator for Japanese OS. Any Idea how this can be fixed or any solution that you would recommend.

• Stored Procedure could not be found

  We use SQL server 2008 as our RDBMS and we have a database that has a different user rather than dbo as its owner. The problem is in one machine a stored procedure can not run unless its owner is mentioned. If we connect to our database using this user and try to execute the following : exec ourSP we get a "could not find ourSP" error but this works fine: exec user.ourSP Does anybody knows what can lead to such a strange behavior?

  If I have an applet embedded in a webpage and I want it to connect to server side software (also written in Java) how can I do this properly on a windows machine running local host? Would I have to run the java application from within the localhost directory and access the applet html from a browser (i.e. localhost/applet.html)?   Hi!, I have setup svnserve server (1.6.5,plain, without apache) on Fedora. I start the svnserve with the command 'svnserve -d --foreground --listen-port=3690 -r /usr/local/svn-repos/proj-test' When user trying to checkout working copy from the local machine with command 'svn checkout svn://127.0.0.1/proj-test' gets following error svn: URL 'svn://127.0.0.1/proj-test' doesn't exists but, 'svn checkout svn://localhost/proj-test' works. I am curious to know why using 127.0.0.1 with svn:// fails? Thanks. Banani

• Postsharp installer bug: .Net 2.0 not presented

  There is an issue with PostSharp 1.5 and 2.0 that won't let you install it on the Windows 7 machine with the error message ".NET Framework 2.0 is not present on this computer". To work around the issue you have to run the installer while being logged in with Administrator account. Not Admin group and not "run as Administrator", you have to be logged in with the Administrator account. Hope that helps, if someone has the same issue.
