  • Ruby character encoding issue

    Hi, I write a little ruby script, which sends me an email when a new commit added to our svn. I get the log with this code: log = `/usr/bin/svnlook log #{ARGV[0]}` When I run my script from bash I get good encoded character in the email, but when I try it and create a new commit I get wrong hungarian characters. I commited this: tes oéá I get this in the email: Log: tes ?\197?\145?\195?\169?\195?\161 How can I solve this issue?

  • What causes MSSQL to return the message 'The statement has been terminated'?

    I have a very simple INSERT statement being executed from a PHP script running on a Linux Apache web server. I can run the query fine from within SQL Management Studio and it normally runs fine from PHP as well. However, every once in awhile I get an error message from my PHP script that the query failed and the mssql_get_last_message() function returns 'The statement has been terminated'. What sources can cause this message to be returned from MSSQL?

    Ok I wrote my own version of SALT I call it salty lol don't make fun of me.. I have it setup to TEST and echo if its login or not. It always returns FAILED. I entered the DB and changed the crypted salty pw to "TEST" and I got a SUCCESS. So my problem is somewhere in this LOGIN script I assume. Now I am not sure how to implement my $Salty in this. But also be advised that even without SALTY (just using crypt to store my pass) - I was still unable to perform a login successfully. This page already submits to me all the HTTP headers and now I'm trying to have JavaScript give some more informations, so I thought it would be great to have the user's navigator JavaScript object and I started looking how to serialize it so I can submit it through a form. The problem is I'm not able to serialize the navigator object using any JSON library I know of, everyone returns an empty object (?!), so I decided to write an ad-hoc serializer.     I want a simple perl script that can help me impute missing nucleotides in aligned sequences: As an example, my old_file contains the following aligned sequences: seq1 ATGTC seq2 ATGTC seq3 ATNNC seq4 NNGTN seq5 CTCTN So I now want to infer all Ns in the file and get a new file with all the Ns inferred based on the majority nucleotide at a particular position. My new_file should look like this: seq1 ATGTC seq2 ATGTC seq3 ATGTC seq4 ATGTC seq5 CTCTC A script with usage: "impute_missing_data.pl old_file new_file" or any other approach will be helpful to me.
