• [Flex] Using same set of columns in AdvancedDataGrid in a TabBar

  I have a TabBar control which will show an AdvancedDataGrid with same set of columns on different tabs, i am doing this so that i can show similar data on different tab pages. Column heading will be the same on all grids, is there a way I can put all column headings in an array and set that as columns of data grid? I tried setting the columns property but it doesn't work. Also I need to set ID property for a single column in the grid to set it the treecolumn so one column must have individual id field too.

• using setSfGuardUser() to save the current user in the model

  My application makes use of the sfGuardUser plugin. One of my tables has a relation onto the sf_guard_user table so there is a corresponding setSfGuardUser() function in the base model. From Actions.class.php, I am attempting to set the current user into the object using this function, (Which I then save in the database). my attempt: ->setSfGuardUser($this->getUser()); //called from inside Actions.class.php this throws an error: Couldn't call Doctrine_Core::set(), second argument should be an instance of Doctrine_Record or Doctrine_Null when setting one-to-one references. ...# at Doctrine_Record->coreSetRelated('sfGuardUser', object('myUser')) Which makes me think that getUser() is not returning a sfGuardUser object, though I don't know how to check this. Can anyone offer any insight?

This code is meant to read in two strings and then print them however it seems to be setting a and b to point to input. Sample output from this code when A and B are entered is(don't worry about the \n's i can remove them): A B B : B How do i store the value of input in another variable eg. a or b so that in the above case A B A : B Is output? • Transparent Select/Option text in IE

  I've created the JS fiddle to demonstrate my problem: http://jsfiddle.net/C8NUf/1/ HTML: <select> <option> Test </option> <option> Another Test </option> </select> Style: select { color: transparent; } In chrome, the selected text "test" is properly blanked out by setting the color to transparent, in IE the test is still black. • WebView with NSShadow slowdown

  I have a webview that shows some animated boxes, but it slows down and lags horribly when I put a drop shadow in the view. Without the shadow, the webview contents animate smoothly. I achieved a similar effect as safari/chrome when you do a elastic scroll with the touchpad. Looks nice! But doesnt run as smooth as in my inspirations. • Customize iphone app for different clients

  I have an existing app that needs to be compiled for different clients Each client requires their own icon and splash screen. I would also like to be able to conditionally include various features depending whether the particular client requires them or not. I have tried setting up different targets for each client, but not having much luck so far. The different resources with the same name, but a different path keep getting mixed up. Ideally I would like to be able to build an app by duplicating another client that is similar and then just make the minimum number of changes to create the app for the new client. What is the best way to set this app up?

• visual studio 2005 problem with windows flying open

  I'm going through the problem of setting up a new computer and I'm having a problem with VS 2005. Whenever I start debugging all the windows (properties, watch, errorlist, stack, ...) pop up all over the place undocked. At this point I've tried docking them and closing them. When I stop debugging more windows pop up all undocked. This keeps happening over and over and over... I've tried closing and docking them but they keep popping out. Wasn't sure how to google this and my patience has grown thin with this whole process of moving to a new comp. Sincerely, Frustrated

• Redirect to prevent dup submission...but then you loose existing data

  Here's the scenario User is on your checkout.aspx page Somewhere in the process, when clicking the pay button, you redirect the user to an intermediate page (before the confirmation page) to do some other logic. That intermediate page performs whatever logic based on a querystring flag you sent with the redirect from the checkout page This intermediate page also serves as an error page. So if any logic in the intermediatePage.aspx.cs fails I'm setting a message to be displayed on this page to the user If I refresh, that querystring value is still in the url..hence when it hits my Page_Load again, then the server-side logic is called & run again and I don't want this to happen The avoid this behavior/problem, the logical next step is to do a redirect back to the same page if they refresh (not sure how you'd catch that) to get rid of that querystring But when you redirect back to the same page your error message is gone, lost in the redirect therefore you end up showing them the same page but all values for the error message are now gone I do not want to solve this with Javascript either. I am not sure the best way to handle this.

  I'd like to be able to write a PHP class that behaves like an array and uses normal array syntax for getting & setting. For example (where Foo is a PHP class of my making): $foo = new Foo(); $foo['fooKey'] = 'foo value'; echo $foo['fooKey']; I know that PHP has the _get and _set magic methods but those don't let you use array notation to access items. Python handles it by overloading __getitem__ and __setitem__. Is there a way to do this in PHP? If it makes a difference, I'm running PHP 5.2.

• Would like help with LOGON Trigger

  I've created a logon trigger in MS SQL that needs to check dm_exec_sessions for a login. This login is the user listed in the connection string and has owner right to the database. If the login is verified, I need it to update a specific table and send an email. So far I've done just the following piece and it disabled my web site. The error I get is: "Logon failed for login 'dev' due to trigger execution. Changed database context to 'mydatabase'. Changed language setting to us_english." Any idea what I did wrong? • C# Balloon Notification Popup over all other apps

  I have a balloon popup (from a notifyIcon) in C# that works perfectly, unless there is a fullscreen application on the users monitor, such as a power point presentation. In that case, the popup doesn't show at all. However, once that app exits or is minimized (or the taskbar brought to front) you can see the balloon popups again. Is there a way to make this popup show over all windows? Something like a form's "Top Most" setting? • Does FastCGI support PHP 5.3.2 centOS?

  I just upgrade the PHP version in my VPS to 5.3.2 I used FastCGI and worker MPM in php 5.1.2 or 5.2.1 I forgot, it worked fine, and it was so fast, I like it. After I upgrade the PHP version, it gives me Internal Server Error 500 on all .php pages. What is wrong? does FCGI support php 5.3.2? If yes, there should be some differences in setting it up? what should I change to get it back working? Thank You

• Content Types in browsers, can we use the Mime??

  Ok, I am wondering which mime types are dangerous in browsers? That is to say setting the Content Type to that mime type?? Which mime types, if any would pose a security risk?? I am noticing that many forum software, when uploading files, use the application/octet-stream for any files other than images and place that into the Content Type of the header. I am wondering why don't they place the actual mime-type instead into the Content Type? Are there security risks involved with this? So far I have used text/css, text/plain, audio/mpeg, and many others and haven't noticed any difference between application/octet-stream and these others. Does anyone out there know the exact difference, and what makes application/octet-stream any better, or any worse...to use for the Content Type?? Thank You :)

• How to make Amazon EC2 not cause SSL invalid error in browser

  I use SSL certificate for a web site I set up in Amazon EC2 Machine Instance. The SSL certificate is for one domain name, which is not public DNS for the Amazon Machine Instance. The browser always complains the mismatch in the domain name because it compares the domain name of the SSL certificate to the Amazon public DNS. How can I set up not to cause this problem? I tried both domain name forwarding and A Record setting. Maybe it's because I'm not so familiar with Amazon EC2 and I haven't configured domain name correctly. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  Hi, I am trying to create dynamic excel sheet, with the help of php using XML Spreadsheet. But when I try to open the dynamically created excel sheet I keep on getting error that says 'Unable to load worksheet, problem with worksheet settings'. When I try to look at the log file it had created it shows the below text, XML ERROR in Worksheet Setting REASON: Bad Value FILE: C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\5XZ039FS\output[3].xls GROUP: Worksheet TAG: Table ATTRIB: ExpandedRowCount VALUE: 4 Can anybody tell what does the above error mean and how do I remove it?

  Howdy - today a weird problem occured to me: I have a modle class in Django and added a custom property to it that shall not be saved into the database and therefore is not represent in the models structure: class Category(models.Model): groups = models.ManyToManyField(Group) title = defaultdict() Now, when I'm within the shell or writing a test and I do the following: c1 = Category.objects.create() c1.title['de'] = 'german title' print c1.title['de'] # prints "german title" c2 = Category.objects.create() print c2.title['de'] # prints "german title" <-- WTF? It seems that 'title' is kind of global. If I change title to a simple string it works as expected, so it has to do something with the dict? So just after image upload we convert the image and scale in 4 different widths and heights. Instead of sending images immediately to S3, it may be better to add them to a job queue. But the user should see the uploaded image immediately.

• Image animation stops on minimizing and restoring

  I have a .NET WinForms application with an animated GIF in a PictureBox. It's a loading animation, shown while a BackgroundWorker does some processing in another thread. I load the image by setting the Image property and it animates on its own. All is fine until I minimize and restore the application. At which point, the image stops animating and just displays whatever frame it was last on. Note that: The background thread still runs fine and none of the "business" of the application is affected. Subsequently-displayed animated GIFs do work fine (unless the application is minimized again). Does anyone know what causes this problem? Any workarounds?

  Hi, Currently we have CCService running as a Domain account because the build scripts deploy to a network location. However this causes any unit tests that test the view to fail. Due to not being allowed to interact with desktop. I can change the CCService to run as local system which works however i loose network connectivity. I also have tried setting up a /interactive cmd.exe but this has been deprecated in Windows Server 2008. Any Ideas on this one? Thanks Jeremy

• Erase part of RenderTarget when drawing primitives?

  I'm creating a paint like application using XNA. I have a render target which acts as a canvas. When the user draws something I draw corresponding triangles using DrawUserPrimitives and triangle strips to make lines and other curves. I want to implement an eraser in the application, so that the user can erase the triangles from the texture. I've used OpenGL in the past and there I would just use a blend function like so: glBlendFunc(GL_ZERO, GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA); How would I do this in XNA? I tried setting the GraphicsDevice blend mode to AlphaBlend, Additive, etc.. but it did not work. Any ideas? Thanks!
