My resolution that I am working on is 1024x768..but the computer that I am going to be running this program on is a wide screen..1280x768.   Hello! Could you please tell why the Asc() function returns incorrect result? Dim TestChar = Chr(128) Dim CharInt = Asc(TestChar) ' this is a mistake on Windows 7 x64. Asc(TestChar) returns 136 instead of 128 I executed this code on another computer and the result was 128. Thanks.

  What is the "computer science" term for the practice of assigning a special meaning to one of a type's values. For example a numeric variable called "amount_to_transfer" where the special value "0" means "entire account balance" or a date value "spouse_date_of_birth" where "1/1/1800" means "unmarried".   I am considering upgrading my work computer to use windows 8 as the new file transferring feature seems very useful. Unfortunately after installing windows 8 on my home pc to test it out, the files are being transferred in separate dialogs as opposed to this image provided by microsoft.
