  • Sub-millisecond precision timing in C or C++

    What techniques / methods exist for getting sub-millisecond precision timing data in C or C++, and what precision and accuracy do they provide? I'm looking for methods that don't require additional hardware. The application involves waiting for approximately 50 microseconds +/- 1 microsecond while some external hardware collects data. EDIT: OS is Wndows, probably with VS2010. If I can get drivers and SDK's for the hardware on Linux, I can go there. Thanks.

    Hi all, I have an method in the tableview controller class. It consists few of the UIColor and UIFont class names. I am unit testing that metohd. But when i build that test target i am getting this error: "/Developer/Tools/RunPlatformUnitTests.include:451:0 Test rig '/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneSimulator.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneSimulator3.0.sdk/Developer/usr/bin/otest' exited abnormally with code 133 (it may have crashed)."   • Controlling the print options of a pdf

    I am producing a number of PDFs using either SSRS or using an HTML to PDF component. What I want to do for each document is to set the first page to print to tray 1 and subsequent pages. Is there anyway to do this? System.Drawing.Printing and System.Printing seem like good candidates but they don't seem to be useful for PDFs (i may be wrong). The Adobe sdk doesn't at first glance seem to have that level of granularity either.

  • How to figure out that mp3player is delayed when seek bar is working with ??

    While playing mp3 by mediaplyer and showing the progress with seek bar, the problem is that mp3playing sound is delayed when mediaplyer and seekbar working at the same time. I used thread, handler, timer for solving that problem on seekbar.setProgress(mediaplayer.getCurrentPosition()). what do I do?? sdk can take more playbuffer for mp3player..?? or I should focus on optimizing code than before..??

EDIT : Finger friendly means big icons, big buttons , scrollable screens with a simple touch of the thumb... Because the Winforms in Compact framework are made for the stylus, not fingers !!

  • Good way to create PDF from Office documents in Java

    I'm looking for a good way to convert Office (mostly Microsoft) documents to PDF in Java. I've been looking at using the OpenOffice SDK but from the samples I've looked at it looks like this requires having OpenOffice running in server mode to do the work. Does anyone know of a good way to do this? Good meaning the less external requirements, the better. A 100% Java API would be best, but I don't expect that actually exists.

I have tried a couple of things, but cannot either get the values to be anything other than 0 or 1, or the K element is completely wrong (showing up as a negative number).     In iPhone I need to set the background view of a UITableview. From 3.2 SDK I can in code use something like: [self.tableView setBackgroundView:[[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"mycustombackground.png"]]]; But how can I do the same in interface builder? It would be great if I could just set the background view directly in interface builder. But can't seem to find this property, where is it? Thanks!
